[0:00]So, it's Saturday night here.
[0:03]I think it's like 7. No, it's 5:30.
[0:09]Feels later than it is, I guess.
[0:13]So, I finally got a fire going after
[0:17]couple of weeks. It's not a great fire.
[0:20]Don't give me, you know, a lot of smoke.
[0:22]Man, my eyes are killing me. Um, it took
[0:25]a lot of effort to get this thing going.
[0:30]But I'm grateful for it. So, let me tell
[0:32]you,
[0:34]went down to Driftwood.
[0:37]Bill gave me a big giant thing of um
[0:40]pitch, which is the stuff you can burn
[0:42]like in grows off trees and stuff. Just
[0:46]dried sap, I guess. Um it's
[0:50]it's awesome. I'm going to be looking
[0:52]for this stuff in the forest. I know I
[0:54]am. Uh, he gave me some wood and a
[0:59]hatchet and I brought him back and I
[1:03]chopped it all up into little pieces.
[1:04]So, I turned it into kindling and I was
[1:06]talking to AI about it and it said, "You
[1:08]don't need just kindling, you need
[1:10]tender, too." That's how I learned to
[1:12]separate the part from the rest of it.
[1:15]Um
[1:17]and the layered approach like tender to
[1:19]kindling
[1:22]to you know
[1:25]um
[1:29]oh I
[1:33]guess I'm having a good day.
[1:40]Yeah. I didn't completely give a pot.
[1:43]So, okay. It's not obvious. Yeah. A
[1:46]little bit stoned, but it's not that. It
[1:49]just feels like a weight's been lifted
[1:51]off of my stuff. I guess I finally named
[1:55]the last actor at Oregon State Parks,
[1:58]Ryan, the park manager. I emailed him
[2:01]card and copied everybody and named his
[2:04]role for the first time. And it felt
[2:07]like a final act, you know.
[2:11]um
[2:15]like in a coffin shot like for real.
[2:19]So yeah, I'm pretty good I guess. I
[2:23]would really like this campfire to be
[2:25]doing better than it is, but it's just
[2:27]like impossible. Everything is wet on
[2:29]the coast this time of year, but I have
[2:32]making adjustments. So
[2:34]I got these metal cans, you know, cuz I
[2:38]live at the work center. got access to
[2:40]certain things like trash cans. I don't
[2:42]know if you can see this on my camera.
[2:44]Yeah. And then now I got, you know,
[2:46]wood. So, this wood is drying right next
[2:48]to my heater exhaust for my RV. That
[2:51]might dry this out. Hopefully. That's
[2:53]all the kindling I made.
[2:56]So, um I put my bark in a different
[2:59]thing in a little tinier. Where did I
[3:02]put that? Cuz I was going to put it away
[3:03]over here. Um in a bucket.
[3:07]Um,
[3:08]so I'm
[3:11]I'm learning like first of all, you
[3:13]definitely want to prepare months ahead
[3:16]of time
[3:18]for winter on the coast if you want to
[3:20]be having the fires like me all the
[3:21]time. It's just a necessity cuz even in
[3:24]my my um my shed, I've got lots of wood
[3:27]in there that needs to be chopped up and
[3:28]stuff, but it's fairly new. I think it
[3:31]came from I think all that came from the
[3:33]tree at my old house, my old spot on
[3:36]driftwood because that tree came down. I
[3:40]don't know like a month or so ago. I
[3:42]think that's where that wood came from.
[3:44]But anyways, it's not um
[3:49]I should, you know, that'll be ready
[3:50]like come summer. So once I move to um
[3:53]Carter Lake,
[3:55]um hopefully I'll be able to use that
[3:56]wood. I have to chop it up and stuff,
[3:58]but you got to prepare, you know. So, um
[4:03]I know this stuff, but I'm trying to
[4:05]adapt. You know, since I didn't prepare,
[4:07]I'm just going to adapt this this season
[4:10]cuz I want to have fires out here. It's
[4:12]big deal to me. I made this campfire
[4:14]spot. I'm sure it's in some of my videos
[4:17]talking about that.
[4:20]So,
[4:22]and I started using my um
[4:25]forget what this thing is called, but I
[4:27]started using it.
[4:29]Um
[4:31]it's, you know, it's like a flint. It
[4:33]makes sparks.
[4:36]I want to say like
[4:39]Ross or I don't know, man. I I learned
[4:44]the word yesterday, but I've forgotten.
[4:47]Um barrel barrel rod. That's what it is.
[4:50]Um,
[4:52]so yeah, I'm just kind of chilling
[4:54]tonight. I haven't been working on
[4:56]autonomy. It's been actually two days
[4:59]now cuz I didn't really work on it
[5:00]yesterday. Did a bunch of hiking
[5:02]yesterday.
[5:04]Um, then rearranged out my outside, you
[5:07]know, here. Um, kind of cleaned it up,
[5:09]the picnic table and stuff and did all
[5:11]the stuff that I was just talking about.
[5:13]Just trying to make it so that I can try
[5:16]to have fires out here.
[5:18]Um, so I've got a little one going
[5:21]there. So, you know, it might be a
[5:25]little while before this gets uploaded
[5:27]because I got to make the feature for
[5:29]that. You know, there's no way to upload
[5:30]a video uh directly to autonomy yet as a
[5:34]signal. I just got to do that and then u
[5:37]make make a a video player for the local
[5:41]um
[5:44]um how to explain it. So, you know,
[5:47]right now, if you were to go to my my
[5:50]realm on autonomy realms and look at my
[5:53]transmissions, you would see the videos
[5:54]there that I've made over the past 2
[5:56]years, but they're all embeds from
[5:59]YouTube and they're not staying there
[6:00]because I'm migrating them into Autonomy
[6:02]Realms. And
[6:06]since they're going to be um hosted by
[6:09]me, I need a different video player. And
[6:10]I'm just calling that the local version.
[6:12]So, basically, I just need, you know, if
[6:14]it's a local video, if it's one I upload
[6:16]directly into Autonomy, um, I got to be
[6:18]able to stream that differently.
[6:21]Um, few things to do.
[6:26]You know, I'm I am loving what I'm
[6:28]building. I don't know how people will
[6:30]learn about it cuz, you know, I really
[6:33]didn't enjoy my experience on YouTube. I
[6:35]just didn't,
[6:37]you know, and I just can't see myself
[6:39]going back to that. I don't know how
[6:42]people discover me now. Maybe from my
[6:44]work on autonomy realms.
[6:47]Maybe some people will, you know, find
[6:49]that interesting, my life interesting on
[6:52]top of what it is I'm building.
[6:55]Um,
[6:57]I suppose it doesn't actually matter
[6:58]though. Let me just say that doesn't
[7:01]actually matter. I can do this for
[7:03]myself.
[7:04]Um, this is proof that I meant to that
[7:07]every time I said it because, you know,
[7:10]I'm not uploading to YouTube anymore.
[7:12]They're going right into my realm on
[7:14]autonomy realms. I just love that. It's
[7:15]so cool. Later, I can adapt to my
[7:19]homepage to use the API from Realms and
[7:23]um just, you know, and then
[7:26]um kind of make that a service for other
[7:28]YouTubers who want to have their own
[7:30]cataloges. They're not because Realms is
[7:32]a certain
[7:34]It's got a very um very academic feel to
[7:38]it on purpose, the data it's collecting
[7:40]and all of that. Um you know, there
[7:43]would need to be a different kind of
[7:44]presentation for
[7:47]um for entertainment, I guess, or
[7:49]whatever or just whatever a normal
[7:50]YouTuber content creator, not me. I not
[7:53]me, right? But, you know, I'm just
[7:55]thinking out loud to you. But anyways,
[7:58]these are all things that I've thought
[7:59]about for a long time and
[8:02]um much further along than
[8:06]um
[8:11]I mean I don't know. I've been
[8:14]processing a lot today. I'm doing really
[8:17]well, by the way. I am. I'm doing good.
[8:21]So, yeah. Hostile transcripts. How am I
[8:24]going to get the transcript for this?
[8:25]Cuz if I don't put them on YouTube, then
[8:27]I got to get them from somewhere else,
[8:30]man.
[8:32]I guess I can upload them to YouTube for
[8:34]the moment and I'll just leave them
[8:36]unlisted cuz that process works
[8:39]and then, you know, cuz in the couple
[8:42]days or so eventually I'll get this all
[8:44]worked out. Plus, I need money in order
[8:45]to do transcription services somewhere
[8:47]else. Don't have it. So,
[8:52]sucks. But that's where I am.
[8:56]I don't know how to solve it. I'm
[8:57]trying. I heard something that I am
[8:59]going to do. So, my cousin's going to
[9:01]help me with this.
[9:03]Um,
[9:05]probably shouldn't say exactly what, but
[9:09]it will help me. Um,
[9:14]it will help me to
[9:17]how to explain this. Let me think this
[9:19]through. This is hard to explain.
[9:25]It might lead to some freelance work.
[9:26]I'll put it that way. You know,
[9:29]hopefully. And
[9:32]you know, I don't need I don't need some
[9:34]permanent job that's going to take up
[9:35]all my time, make me hate my life or
[9:38]whatever. Just just need some aligned
[9:40]clients who need a little bit of work
[9:42]here and there cuz I don't need a lot of
[9:44]money, you know? Oh, I've got a a whole
[9:47]different set of priorities and just
[9:50]um I just need a line support and I
[9:54]tried for two years.
[9:57]But it does feel different now.
[9:58]Something that autonomy just changes the
[10:00]equation. It truly does. And you know,
[10:03]it was really hard to build from my
[10:05]position, but I did it. I survived. I
[10:09][ __ ] lost a lot in the process
[10:11]because when I moved into my RV, I moved
[10:13]into it with only the things I [ __ ]
[10:15]needed.
[10:17]And I have been selling stuff from that
[10:18]ever since.
[10:22]I need to replace it like my solar
[10:25]comfort items. I don't even have a
[10:27]mattress anymore, you know? I sleep on
[10:28]an air mattress and it's just
[10:37]Yeah.
[10:39]Let me see if it feels different. It
[10:41]truly does.
