[0:00]Good morning. So, with this Wednesday
[0:02]morning, 10 o'clock in the morning. I'm
[0:04]about to do my Forest Service rounds.
[0:06]Uh, it's my first day back. Mondays and
[0:08]Tuesdays are my days off. It's basically
[0:10]my weekends, but I have a lot on my
[0:12]mind. I've been working really hard on
[0:14]autonomy. I often um just stop at one of
[0:17]our trails and go hiking. I'm going to
[0:19]turn the camera around and just talk to
[0:21]you. Um,
[0:24]got a lot to share.
[0:27]So, I am at Carter Lake Trail. This is
[0:31]where I'll be this summer most likely.
[0:33]Um, right now I'm a caretaker. So, I
[0:36]actually live at our work center. It's
[0:37]very different. I don't live on a
[0:38]campground. Uh, I I drive a Forest
[0:42]Service truck and I go on rounds where I
[0:44]just clean the bathrooms and the um the
[0:47]parking lots and stuff like that and I
[0:49]deliver um supplies to the other
[0:51]campgrounds. So, and you live behind the
[0:54]work center, behind the lock gate, and
[0:56]you just kind of keep keep tabs on
[0:58]what's happening back there and stuff
[0:59]like that. So, I'm basically on my own,
[1:01]pretty autonomous actually. Um,
[1:06]but this summer, so probably around
[1:07]April, May, around April, uh, I'll
[1:10]probably be coming here to Carter Lake.
[1:12]It's just a mile from where I live. And
[1:14]I'll probably be the host here for the
[1:16]summer for 6 months. And then after
[1:18]that, uh, I'm planning to go exploring
[1:20]and start heading north again on the 101
[1:23]cuz I've only gotten as far as Newport.
[1:25]I want to keep exploring
[1:27]all the way up into Washington. And um,
[1:30]I think by then I'll be financially
[1:32]stable enough to do that, especially
[1:35]because autonomy is at the point it's at
[1:37]now. So that's what I want to talk
[1:40]about. Um, but I am looking forward to
[1:43]my experience here cuz I really do love
[1:45]the Forest Service and um I love the
[1:48]crew I work with and um it's just it's
[1:52]been a good experience after what
[1:53]happened to me at the state parks after
[1:56]I was abused by them and then they
[1:58]ignored that abuse and protected
[2:02]um
[2:03]the lowliest supervisor you possibly
[2:05]could. It's you know I I don't
[2:08]understand it. The logic to me doesn't
[2:10]make sense. Uh, a local supervisor
[2:12]abuses someone, you report it and they
[2:15]do nothing and then they protect that
[2:16]person all the way up the chain, all the
[2:18]way up to the directory and then silence
[2:20]at the governor level. So
[2:24]that's not a functional system as far as
[2:26]I'm concerned because all it did was
[2:30]expose them because now there's an
[2:31]archive I created online that completely
[2:33]exposes everything they did to me over
[2:35]two months. But anyways, I mean that's
[2:38]just dysfunction for you. I guess that's
[2:40]how hierarchy works. Um, this is what AI
[2:43]tells me,
[2:45]just absolute lunacy
[2:48]when all you had to do is correct the
[2:49]behavior of a local supervisor,
[2:52]you know. But but that's not what
[2:55]happened. And after they threw me out,
[2:57]after they expelled me from their entire
[2:59]program, leaving me homeless,
[3:02]uh, I landed here
[3:06]and it has been a very good experience.
[3:07]It's been night and day, black and
[3:09]white, just, you know, completely
[3:12]different from what I experienced at the
[3:13]state parks, which to me is also
[3:18]surprising because,
[3:21]you know, Oregon's supposed to be a
[3:22]progressive place. We have a supposedly
[3:25]have a progressive governor, you know. I
[3:28]mean, I I just But the culture was so
[3:34]corrupt and dirty
[3:38]that clearly it doesn't matter um
[3:43]how progressive or conservative
[3:46]a place claims to be, it's all the same
[3:50]everywhere, I think. But, you know, you
[3:53]have pockets of
[3:56]um like mine, you know, where I am now.
[3:58]I just completely different. So,
[4:03]wasn't really planning to talk about any
[4:05]of this, but I guess
[4:07]I guess it was just something I wanted
[4:08]to. So, there it is. Um, my system
[4:12]autonomy will process this video, all
[4:15]the data that I just shared and
[4:18]contextualize it with all the other
[4:20]elements of my life. Um, and all the,
[4:25]you know, it'll it'll put it into
[4:27]perspective.
[4:29]It will cluster and pattern match it to
[4:34]what I've experienced over the last
[4:35]year. But anyways, definitely getting
[4:38]off track here. So,
[4:41]so
[4:46]after what happened to me there, you
[4:48]know, I landed here and I started
[4:49]working on autonomy.
[4:52]Um,
[4:55]I
[4:57]they failed completely. They couldn't
[4:59]get rid of me at all. I'm miles away
[5:01]from them still for a whole year.
[5:04]Stable, doing well, building still.
[5:11]just it's remarkable to me that kind of
[5:14]dysfunction.
[5:16]Remarkable. So anyways, autonomy
[5:19]um I finally got autonomy realms at a
[5:22]state where I felt it was good enough
[5:24]that I actually invited some of my
[5:25]aligned viewers
[5:28]um access to it so they can create their
[5:31]own realms and start ingesting their own
[5:33]signals.
[5:34]Um you can also sign up. and I've
[5:37]already integrated Stripe. So, for 10
[5:38]bucks a month, you can sign up to
[5:40]Autonomy Realms.
[5:44]Um, I'm not really marketing that yet
[5:46]because I I need to take the project
[5:48]further. This is really more about um
[5:51]just those who have been following along
[5:53]have a better idea of what it is I'm
[5:55]working on, giving them access.
[5:59]So, um things that are done. So in
[6:03]autonomy realms
[6:05]you can add your signals. So videos,
[6:07]documents,
[6:09]not photos yet. I need to work on that.
[6:12]Documents and videos and you can view
[6:14]them on the front end. So your your your
[6:17]realm address. So whatever user
[6:20]autonomyroms.com, whatever that is, you
[6:22]can view your signals there publicly or
[6:24]you can set them private or you can set
[6:26]them to Sanctum access. And you can even
[6:28]set up a Sanctum account. So, um if you
[6:31]have a Stripe account, you just you just
[6:34]connect that basically to Autonomy
[6:36]Realms and then um you have your own um
[6:40]subscription service built right into
[6:42]Autonomy Realms um that that doesn't
[6:45]even touch me like I'm not a middle
[6:46]person or anything. You just um
[6:48]everything's done directly through
[6:49]Stripe. So, if you need, you know, if
[6:52]somebody signs up to view your sanctum
[6:55]level, um, signals,
[6:59]uh, whatever they're paying you, I mean,
[7:01]that's all yours. I don't see any of
[7:03]that. I don't have anything to do with
[7:04]it. Um,
[7:07]so anyways, that's the front end. I got
[7:09]a lot of work to do there. But if you
[7:10]look at mine, like, so if you go to
[7:12]autonomy.com
[7:14]and you just, you know, there's a link
[7:15]there that says see an example realm,
[7:17]it'll take you to mine, rswire. autonomy
[7:20]realms.com. You can look at my
[7:22]transmissions. There's over 800 of them.
[7:24]The pages look pretty nice. I'm pretty
[7:27]um I think it's it's okay. It's decent.
[7:30]Um I like I said yesterday, integrated.
[7:34]Um we're going to take quite a bit of a
[7:36]hike today. So, I don't know if we'll go
[7:38]to the ocean all the way. Um
[7:41]because basically I'm doing a loop. So
[7:43]once I go down here, I'll get to a fork
[7:45]where I can go back to the campgrounds
[7:47]and that um you know, we got a couple
[7:50]miles of that and then and then, you
[7:52]know, I got to walk back to the truck
[7:53]and then do my rounds. The ocean is that
[7:56]way. Maybe we'll go see it. We'll see.
[7:59]Um actually, we can get down from here.
[8:03]Um just lost my train of thought, I
[8:05]think. So, Autonomy Realms.
[8:07]Um,
[8:10]so there is still a lot of work to do.
[8:12]Like I don't want to market it yet
[8:13]because there is a lot I still need to
[8:15]do. So, um,
[8:18]this is what I got me on the camera in
[8:20]the first place. So, I'm going to share
[8:21]this with AI obviously and it's going to
[8:23]kind of be like a progress update. So, I
[8:26]need to
[8:28]make it easier for people like let's say
[8:31]that they have YouTube channels like I
[8:33]do. They need to be able to add their
[8:35]videos
[8:36]um so they can upload them, put them in
[8:38]a bucket and then have a process that
[8:42]will will upload them to YouTube also.
[8:45]Because the way I'm doing it right now
[8:47]is I upload to YouTube. Um I let that
[8:50]upload to YouTube first. That's the
[8:51]first step. And then I wait for YouTube
[8:53]to generate a transcript. Then I fetch
[8:56]the transcript. Then I process the data.
[9:00]Then I update the YouTube description to
[9:02]make it public if I want it to be a
[9:03]public video. That's the process right
[9:05]now. And it's backwards. So from
[9:07]Autonomy Realms, you should be able to
[9:09]go into the admin and say add new signal
[9:11]and then like like upload video. And
[9:14]then you get like a a modal, a pop-up
[9:18]modal that gives you a form for
[9:21]uploading.
[9:23]Um I think I'm on the right trail. Why
[9:25]do I feel like I'm going the wrong way?
[9:27]Anyways, so you'll upload a form. You'll
[9:30]get an upload form. Um you'll upload
[9:32]your video. It'll go into a bucket and
[9:34]then some kind of process. It's going to
[9:35]have to um use the YouTube API obviously
[9:38]and then um just upload that to YouTube.
[9:42]And then getting the transcript. You can
[9:43]either get that from YouTube or you can
[9:45]use a service like Whisper. Um I don't
[9:47]know if Whisper is part of Amazon Web
[9:49]Services or is that something else. I
[9:51]just AI keeps mentioning Whisper, but I
[9:54]know that you can do it through AWS
[9:55]also. So, we might, you know, there'll
[9:57]be different ways of getting
[9:58]transcripts.
[10:01]Um, and you need that because that's
[10:03]what the AI uses in order to process um
[10:06]all the data. So,
[10:08]so that's what I got to do. Make it
[10:10]easier to
[10:13]um for that part. And then I need to
[10:16]look at the document stuff. I want to
[10:17]make sure that that's good. So like if
[10:19]you if you upload a markdown file, you
[10:22]know, it it will render that for you on
[10:24]the front end nicely. Um but there's got
[10:27]to be different types. So plain text and
[10:29]um you know, I was thinking obviously
[10:31]like PDFs and things like that, you
[10:33]should be able to upload those too.
[10:34]Those should go into a bucket
[10:37]and so all of that. So that it's
[10:39]basically where I am now. Like the
[10:41]infrastructure is done. It's ready and
[10:43]now it's just a matter of building
[10:44]features into it. So, I'm really excited
[10:47]about this because I think that this is
[10:49]going to turn into something amazing.
[10:52]I've been using it in different ways for
[10:54]2 years.
[10:56]Um, but it's so hard to explain cuz it
[10:58]can do so many things. I have so many
[11:01]ideas for it. Um, I'm doing good. So, I
[11:04]just today talked to uh my Jeep um bank,
[11:09]you know, the bank for my Jeep and they
[11:11]they pushed my past due um payments to
[11:14]the end of my loan. So, my Jeep is
[11:16]current now. I do not have to worry for
[11:18]90 days. Uh, that Jeep, I don't have to
[11:20]worry about it for 90 days. I'm so
[11:22]grateful for that. That was the only
[11:24]real big thing that I was worried about
[11:26]because everything else I can manage
[11:29]some ways like like food. I don't have a
[11:32]lot of food, but somehow I manage. And
[11:35]um internet. The only other thing and if
[11:37]my internet was to go down, I could just
[11:39]go see a friend at a different
[11:40]campground, use his internet when I
[11:42]needed to work locally, you know, all
[11:45]that uh my my infrastructure online.
[11:49]That's through Hner. It's very cheap.
[11:51]I'm only paying like 15 bucks a month.
[11:53]That's it. I will, as the service grows,
[11:56]want to, you know, increase like the
[11:58]server sizes and things like that. Um,
[12:01]but, you know, at that point, it would
[12:03]justify it. So, I felt like I need a
[12:06]breathing room because it's like, look,
[12:08]I need to focus on this project because
[12:11]I've been trying to for the past year
[12:14]and I have worked on it here and there,
[12:16]even off-rid homeless in an RV,
[12:20]you know, and um
[12:23]but you know, so many parts of life are
[12:25]getting in the way and it's like
[12:28]um yeah, so that's where we are now. Um,
[12:32]need to make a little bit of money cuz I
[12:33]need to fund my AI account, you know, so
[12:36]that I can process data cuz I only got
[12:39]it's only got a balance of $6 right now.
[12:41]But, um, that's really the only thing
[12:43]it's like like I don't have to worry
[12:45]now. Everything's good. I feel solid.
[12:48]So, um, they failed at the state parks.
[12:52]They failed
[12:54]all because some lowly supervisor felt
[12:56]incompetent around me, you know. Um, I
[13:00]don't know what her problem was. She
[13:02]just she was just I I truly don't
[13:05]understand cuz I liked her. I thought
[13:07]she was cool, you know, but she was just
[13:11]vindictive
[13:14]and
[13:17]deeply unprofessional.
[13:21]I mean, there's just
[13:24]Yeah, whatever. I don't know why I'm
[13:26]processing this today. I'm I'm fine, by
[13:28]the way. Um, so I can't remember. I
[13:32]think I went back here. Yes, Carter
[13:34]Lake. There's going to be We're not
[13:35]going to be able to make it to the ocean
[13:36]from here. Um, there's a spot back here
[13:38]where it's flooded. There's no way to
[13:40]get through. I forgot about that. If I
[13:42]was somewhere else, we could have gone
[13:43]to the ocean, but we're going to get
[13:44]stopped.
[13:46]Um, but, you know, we're just making a
[13:47]loop, so it doesn't matter.
[13:50]Um, I do look forward to being here for
[13:52]the summer. I think Carter Lake might be
[13:53]a fun place to host and um I'll get to
[13:56]spend a lot of time on the ocean
[13:59]taking this trail here and
[14:01]so you know I'm looking forward to that.
[14:05]Um I do like the job I have now. So, you
[14:08]know, it requires a lot of trust on the
[14:10]part of the Forest Service and um
[14:15]um you know, I mean, cool perk. You get
[14:17]to drive a Forest Service truck, right?
[14:19]Um but, you know, I don't really
[14:22]I mean, I don't know. It's just not
[14:25]something I want to do long term. So, I
[14:28]am planning,
[14:30]you know, this is we're going to pivot
[14:32]this year. Like, last year was hard. Um,
[14:35]state parks didn't make it easier for
[14:37]me. They made it a lot harder
[14:40]and
[14:42]I got through it. That's why I'm talking
[14:44]about it is because I'm damn [ __ ]
[14:45]proud of myself. Look what I [ __ ]
[14:48]built despite them.
[14:50]It's a big [ __ ] deal. That's why I'm
[14:53]talking about it today.
[14:56]So,
[14:58]going to leave it there. I have
[15:01]um, you know, a couple miles to go. I'm
[15:03]not going to just keep talking just to
[15:04]talk.
