[0:00]Hi there.
[0:02]So, I have been hiking four miles. I
[0:05]don't even know, seven, eight miles.
[0:06]This is one of the longest trails I
[0:08]take. And I probably got another mile to
[0:11]go, I guess. I didn't realize I was in
[0:13]the back of the dunes. I was in the
[0:15]forest, but now I'm in the dunes again.
[0:18]We're out about this stretch. I just
[0:20]thought I'd get on this camera real
[0:21]fast,
[0:23]talk about something I've been thinking
[0:24]about. So, I've been thinking about my
[0:25]autonomy software u my platform
[0:29]and I've decided I'm going to make a new
[0:32]repository for the front end which will
[0:34]be in React. I'm going to
[0:37]uh migrate my current homepage to that
[0:40]project eventually. Um, but I'm going to
[0:44]start by making this new repository. And
[0:47]I'm going to work on the Atlas feature
[0:50]and the gallery feature, which will
[0:51]allow people to see maps
[0:54]um on their phones or on a website that
[0:57]shows places I've hiked,
[1:00]um, photos that I've taken
[1:03]or I've, you know, recorded
[1:04]transmissions. like this one just shows
[1:07]up on the on the map as a little pin.
[1:10]And
[1:13]um because it's built on the autonomy
[1:15]platform, there will be AI features. It
[1:17]will look at the photos themselves
[1:20]and it'll be able to describe them,
[1:23]create metadata and content for those.
[1:25]You can take those and you can um
[1:28]cluster them with other types of what
[1:30]they're called signals. other types of
[1:32]I'm going to stop. Um,
[1:35]okay.
[1:38]So,
[1:39]I can't get on this camera and try to
[1:41]talk about my work and
[1:45]um try to make it
[1:48]so that new people understand what I'm
[1:50]talking about every time I do it. So, I
[1:52]don't want to be explaining what a
[1:53]signal is every single time I make a
[1:54]video is what I'm trying to say.
[1:57]So, we're just going to assume that
[2:00]if you're paying attention, it's because
[2:02]you already have a foundation for what
[2:04]it is I'm working on. You're interested.
[2:07]You don't need me to explain more than
[2:08]I'm explaining. And that if you do, I
[2:11]mean, I guess you could just reach out
[2:12]to me. You could contact me on my
[2:13]homepage. Don't comment on my channel,
[2:16]but you're welcome to contact me
[2:18]directly.
[2:19]So, anyways, I'm just going to settle
[2:23]that moving forward. That's the new
[2:25]policy.
[2:27]So, um, photos are going to be a signal
[2:30]type
[2:32]and since they're part of the signal
[2:34]table, uh, they can be, um, they can be
[2:37]used with all the reflection technology
[2:39]I created and you can cluster that. So,
[2:42]the synthesis features what I'm talking
[2:43]about now, you can cluster those and
[2:46]create all kinds of like um, let me try
[2:48]to explain this. Um,
[2:52]so it started with creating
[2:54]transmissions, right, for um, my videos.
[2:58]You get a transcript, AI would process
[3:00]that and it would reflect on it. It
[3:02]create metadata and content and the
[3:04]mirror function and all of that.
[3:06]Um, it will, uh, create the descriptions
[3:09]for my YouTube videos. It updates all
[3:11]the metadata for that. All this is
[3:13]automated. Um, and then you can take
[3:15]that and you can cluster the
[3:17]transmissions together and reflect on
[3:19]those as a grouping and get a higher
[3:22]level analysis, pattern recognition
[3:24]analysis of it. So, if you go to the
[3:27]synthesis feature on my homepage, you'll
[3:28]see examples of this. It takes periods
[3:30]of time in my life. I've already done
[3:32]this um from the past two years. It can
[3:35]look at different time periods in my
[3:36]life. Those get clustered together and
[3:39]it creates these pages all about it. Is
[3:40]this already working? Go look at I'm
[3:42]very proud of that. That's basically
[3:44]where I stopped because then I got to
[3:45]work on a different project for a little
[3:46]while, but I'm basically done with it
[3:47]now. So um I've been thinking about the
[3:49]autonomy platform.
[3:52]Um
[3:54]so what I'm thinking here is um
[3:59]transmissions are one type of or kind of
[4:03]how do I explain this? This is a little
[4:04]bit hard to hard to describe. So AI
[4:07]reflects on my transcripts, me talking
[4:10]right now to you through this camera. Um
[4:13]most of the time I'm not really talking
[4:14]to anyone you know I'm just um
[4:16]reflecting myself you know uh in the
[4:19]moment is stream of consciousness it's
[4:21]um
[4:25]anyways my thinking is is that is so one
[4:28]of the things that the AI does one of
[4:30]the reflection types is um
[4:36]is epistemic basically structural I call
[4:38]it the structural reflection type. So,
[4:41]um,
[4:42]where was I going with this? So, the
[4:44]photos, okay, that's a different type of
[4:47]signal. Like you're out exploring and
[4:49]you see something that beautiful or
[4:51]interesting to you. You take a picture
[4:52]of it. You let the AI look at that and
[4:54]reflect on that in context. So, let's
[4:56]say I made a transmission um, like I am
[4:59]right now and I also took some pictures.
[5:01]Cluster those together and then you have
[5:02]a a moment that's defined by more than
[5:05]it's multimodal is what it is. That's
[5:06]what I'm describing. So, so that's what
[5:09]I'm going to be working on. Um,
[5:14]probably over the next couple of days.
[5:17]I'm ready to um see what that looks
[5:20]like. And then the the Atlas feature,
[5:22]you know, that's going to have I just
[5:25]want to see that map so bad, man. I want
[5:28]to see the route from me taking, you
[5:30]know, from Kentucky to Oregon and then
[5:32]up the coast from Brookings all the way
[5:34]to Newport, you know? I am very very
[5:36]curious to just see that on map. Be able
[5:38]to go to a page and see my journey
[5:40]reflected that way. It's going to be
[5:42]amazing. Um there's a branching trail
[5:44]here. I had to make sure I was going the
[5:45]right way.
[5:47]So, and then you know everything I've
[5:49]done on the coast since has been over a
[5:50]year. All kinds of photos, you know, and
[5:54]videos and um
[5:57]from there we'll expand into other
[5:58]things. But that's where we are now and
[6:01]I'm ready to do the next part of it. So
[6:04]that's what I wanted to share.
