[0:01]Hi.
[0:08]So, I'm on the beach. Obviously,
[0:12]been walking this beach for a couple
[0:13]miles now.
[0:17]Started at Wax Myrtle. I just started
[0:18]heading south. I went past Carter Lake,
[0:22]past a spot on Gaia GPS. It says there's
[0:24]a trail there I've never seen and I
[0:26]didn't see it this time. Curious if
[0:29]there's something back there. I'm going
[0:30]to look another time. Maybe on the way
[0:32]back.
[0:34]Just heading south. I'm almost attacking
[0:35]it creek. That's as far as I'm probably
[0:37]going to be able to make it.
[0:40]Creek will be in the way.
[0:45]I hadn't walked this path yet, so
[0:48]wanted to. I'm recording it for my GPS
[0:51]tracking become part of my Atlas feature
[0:54]when I do that.
[0:56]Those nice warm days, so I didn't need
[0:59]this coat. I had a feeling I wouldn't
[1:03]thick coat. I do this to myself quite
[1:05]often
[1:07]without having to carry this thing.
[1:10]That was a better day to have it than
[1:11]not though, right?
[1:13]Yeah, it's beautiful day. Super sunny.
[1:15]Last day in November. Super sunny and
[1:18]warm and ocean is looking beautiful.
[1:23]Yeah.
[1:31]still nicotine free.
[1:33]I have not had any [ __ ] nicotine
[1:37]since the day I quit. Whenever that was
[1:40]cuz I'm not tracking days or weeks. I
[1:42]don't even know. I think it's close to a
[1:44]month. That's all I know.
[1:49]It feels good. Really [ __ ] good.
[1:54]Feels
[1:56]feels saddled. It feels like a thing.
[1:58]That's
[2:00]This is going to stick.
[2:04]Next. I got to get rid of this [ __ ]
[2:06]Mound you. This is the last dependency.
[2:09]That's what I'm calling them. That
[2:10]framing seems to really help. You know,
[2:12]nicotine was a dependency.
[2:15]Had a bunch of other dependencies in my
[2:17]life. You know that I gave all of those
[2:18]up. I moved out of my house and um
[2:23]matters what's dependent on you
[2:26]cuz that
[2:29]you know that those are variables you
[2:30]have to track and they influence the
[2:33]shape of your life and what you can do
[2:35]and
[2:38]nicotine was a dependency.
[2:40]took a lot from me over 32 years.
[2:45]And this Mountain Dew destroyed my
[2:47]teeth. You know, when we die, I was
[2:50]talking to AI about this the other day.
[2:52]When we die, you know, I asked, "How
[2:54]long until like,
[2:57]you know, like you return to the earth
[2:59]completely, like you're just dust or
[3:01]whatever."
[3:03]Your teeth last the longest.
[3:07]And I destroyed those in less than half
[3:08]a lifetime.
[3:11]because of these modern dependencies,
[3:13]this [ __ ] pop and nicotine,
[3:17]you know, and our modern diets and
[3:19]lifestyles and we're just born into this
[3:22][ __ ] [ __ ]
[3:25]We have to find our way out of it.
[3:29]Most of us don't even don't even realize
[3:32]it.
[3:36]I did though.
[3:39]I did something about it and I'm I'm
[3:42]shedding every dependency that I have
[3:44]pretty much getting there.
[3:48]It's one of the things I've been
[3:49]tracking on my channel with 850 videos.
[3:53]Many of them talk about these things
[3:57]and you know the software I'm building
[3:59]autonomy will be able to track that
[4:01]those patterns.
[4:04]I could do all kinds of things with
[4:05]that. make pages about it, different
[4:07]patterns it attracts. Just kind of like
[4:09]a pattern mapping system.
[4:13]You can watch when I first mentioned
[4:15]nicotine because I would have been
[4:16]smoking at the time. So mentioned
[4:18]smoking and it's the last time I [ __ ]
[4:21]when I quit
[4:23]and I process those patterns,
[4:28]create content and data about it.
[4:32]It's going to be interesting what we can
[4:34]do with AI.
[4:37]But man, I've been navigating
[4:41]so much.
[4:46]It's been hard cuz I've been living on
[4:47]the edge of
[4:50]financial ruin. Basically, I'm weeks
[4:53]away from my jeeping um repossessed.
[4:57]It's like I'll hit the mark where where
[4:59]there's I'll hit that boundary if I
[5:02]don't come up with 500 bucks
[5:05]by then. And I'm hopeful that I will.
[5:07]I've resubscribed to Upwork. I think I'm
[5:10]even going to get on guru.com and give
[5:11]it another go cuz I built up a very good
[5:14]reputation on that platform, but it's
[5:16]dead.
[5:18]Nobody uses it.
[5:21]But at the same time, those are a little
[5:24]bit like excuses because
[5:26]um it's important. I'm not prioritizing
[5:29]it enough. I Okay, so it's dead, right?
[5:33]Doesn't mean it, you know, there aren't
[5:35]jobs on there or people who are, you
[5:38]know, maybe very rarely like a lot less
[5:41]common than than when I was using it
[5:43]regularly. But
[5:46]if it matters to me,
[5:48]I'll monitor it. I'll keep tracking it
[5:50]every day and apply to what I can until
[5:52]I find something
[5:55]to prioritize it.
[5:57]Tried other things because
[6:01]other other methods just felt way more
[6:03]aligned with what I'm trying to create,
[6:06]but I couldn't get people to come along
[6:08]with me. So,
[6:10]that is what it is.
[6:14]So, I'm just um I can't believe I'm not
[6:16]there yet. Been walking for miles, man.
[6:19]I feel like I should hit this creek by
[6:21]now. Oh, look at that. We got ourselves
[6:23]a map marker right in front of us. 113.
[6:28]I wonder if this is the one that I was
[6:30]looking at on the map. I can't look at
[6:33]it now while being on camera. Um, I will
[6:35]check that.
[6:38]Huh. Cuz I got to if I I got to take
[6:40]that trail. I've never been on it. I
[6:43]know where it goes. It goes somewhere to
[6:44]the 101.
[6:46]Then I'll know where on the one that one
[6:47]actually is. I think it's back to here.
[6:53]I'm gonna sl my coat drag on the sand
[6:56]cuz man, okay, whatever. I have been
[6:59]hiking and walking so much
[7:04]since I quit vaping that
[7:07]man, my I'm definitely in shape. I am so
[7:10]fit for my [ __ ] age, for any age.
[7:14]And but also sore. My legs are like,
[7:17]"God, man, please stop." Like, my right
[7:19]leg starting to go numb. Like, that's
[7:22]happened a few times now. I'll
[7:23]acknowledge it. I'm hiking a little too
[7:25]much. Whatever. I'm going to keep doing
[7:27]it cuz it's keeping me from from
[7:29]smoking, you know, vaping, nicotine, and
[7:32]um all that.
[7:35]It's so beautiful out. Look at that sun.
[7:38]Whoa. Can you see it? Yeah.
[7:42]Sun.
[7:46]Yeah, I got to make some money. It's
[7:47][ __ ] important. I got to pay for my
[7:49]Jeep. I want to get a Bluetooth speaker
[7:50]so I can bring that with me because it's
[7:52]the sound I'm listening to music all the
[7:53]time and sounds shitty on my phone.
[7:57]I need a carpet for my RV because I just
[7:59][ __ ] hate
[8:01]I hate those cold [ __ ] floors. And I
[8:05]need a proper mattress cuz I'm tired of
[8:07]sleeping on a goddamn air mattress,
[8:10]you know? Like I need to make [ __ ]
[8:12]money. I just [ __ ] do. And
[8:17]so I did my rounds and um
[8:22]this is my weekend now. So I'm done for
[8:24]the next two days.
[8:27]Our water went out of the corridor. So I
[8:29]couldn't shower or anything like no
[8:32]water. We've just got some issues with
[8:33]that. We're working through them
[8:36]with the whole corridor. It's out all
[8:37]the campgrounds. Everything.
[8:40]So pretty, man. Where is this creek? I
[8:44]didn't bring I didn't bring my backpack.
[8:45]I didn't bring enough like um enough
[8:49]things to drink. I only got this one
[8:51]pop. It's like half a bottle now. It's
[8:54]like, okay, well, once I got the half a
[8:56]bottle, I was like, you know,
[8:59]don't drink it till you start heading
[9:00]back, you know, cuz then that's halfway
[9:02]or whatever.
[9:04]So, anyways, I just thought I would get
[9:06]on this camera while I was out here and
[9:08]just talk for a minute. I didn't really
[9:10]have a plan about what else I was going
[9:11]to talk about or anything.
[9:15]So, I have to finish migrating my site
[9:18]because
[9:19]um the AWS one's going to get shut off
[9:22]at any time. Um it's really close. I've
[9:24]been getting emails about it. So, I'm
[9:26]being really lazy and stupid for just
[9:28]not finishing the transition. Um
[9:32]I'll take care of that today.
[9:35]So, my website might go down. I don't
[9:36]know. Um, but if it does, it'll just be
[9:39]temporary until I do a couple of things.
[9:44]I've done most of it. It's, you know,
[9:46]I'll finish it. Couple hours work. Then
[9:49]there's a whole bunch of stuff I want to
[9:51]do on that and I got to look for work.
[9:52]And
[9:56]aside from walking to this beach, I'm
[9:58]going to be focused on that cuz I got to
[10:00]make money some [ __ ] how. Just do.
[10:03]I'm at a point where
[10:12]Well, this feels like it. This is feels
[10:14]like
[10:19]I cannot afford to go any lower than I
[10:21]have. This is it. This is rock bottom.
[10:23]Let's put it that way. If I go any
[10:26]further than this, I'm risking
[10:29]critical infrastructure. My Jeep is
[10:31]critical infrastructure.
[10:34]I cannot lose that.
[10:37]So
[10:40]that's where my mind is right now.
