[0:00]It's beautiful day today. Let me show
[0:02]you the ocean.
[0:26]Just finished my rounds a little while
[0:27]ago.
[0:29]decided to just go for a walk to the to
[0:32]the beach, to the ocean. And there's a
[0:34]little tiny sandal here. That is
[0:36]adorable.
[0:38]I used to have sandals like that.
[0:42]Somebody lost their sandal. That sucks.
[0:49]So, I have a lot to talk about today.
[0:52]Be patient with me, please.
[0:59]Guess we'll talk walk towards the river
[1:01]first.
[1:04]Maybe I'll walk the other way towards
[1:05]the ATVs.
[1:11]Definitely very pretty out here. Very
[1:13]beautiful.
[1:17]Clouds just sitting up there
[1:21]for a blue horizon.
[1:25]Nice sun.
[1:29]ocean doing its thing.
[1:32]So magical to me.
[1:39]So as I was saying, I finished my rods
[1:42]for the day. For those of you who don't
[1:44]know, I know that I have uh some new
[1:46]subscribers who are probably interested
[1:49]in my autonomy project that I'm open
[1:52]sourcing. Probably don't know me. Um,
[1:55]probably don't know that I used to have
[1:56]a different YouTube channel for a couple
[1:59]of years. That's why I don't have many
[2:02]viewers cuz I started a new channel. I
[2:04]just didn't feel like my audience was
[2:06]aligned with me.
[2:08]It wasn't really their fault, I guess.
[2:10]Just
[2:12]just the way the algorithm works.
[2:16]So, I started a new channel.
[2:25]Just kind of seeing what's going on.
[2:27]Ramy,
[2:32]the waves are awesome today.
[2:41]So, I don't have a lot of viewers,
[2:46]which means very limited options for
[2:48]support.
[2:49]didn't get a lot of that before, but
[2:52]trying to build an aligned community
[2:54]this time. I don't expect everybody to
[2:57]understand me or my life choices,
[3:01]but if you feel me, if you want to be
[3:03]part of my journey, I do require you to
[3:06]show up.
[3:09]I think that is just the most basic
[3:12]part of any relationship.
[3:15]You can't just consume my life and watch
[3:17]me in passing and treat that as if it's
[3:20]okay.
[3:22]I think it's unethical.
[3:26]So,
[3:29]so I'm going to give you a little bit of
[3:30]an update here.
[3:33]Oh, it might get a little bit wet. Let
[3:34]me move out the way here. Oh [ __ ] Okay,
[3:37]we better go.
[3:41]I love tracing these waves when I'm not
[3:43]paying attention.
[3:45]Normally, I'd have my music going and
[3:47]I'd just be by myself and tracing the
[3:50]waves and just tracing the tide. It's
[3:52]the most
[3:56]I fell in love with the ocean when I
[3:58]started doing that.
[4:00]Before it, I just looked at it and I was
[4:02]like, what are people like so fascinated
[4:04]with? It's just water.
[4:06]When I started tracing the tides,
[4:12]seeing the patterns like in the water
[4:14]when the sun
[4:17]reflects off of it
[4:20]like right now
[4:25]it does something. I don't know. Love
[4:28]this thing.
[4:34]I'm not trying to stop here. I just um I
[4:37]don't really know
[4:39]what to say, I guess.
[4:43]So,
[4:46]let me see how to how to explain all of
[4:48]this.
[4:52]Two years ago, I made a choice to leave
[4:55]my house and leave everything behind.
[4:56]And that's exactly what I did.
[4:59]Had a very good job. I've been a
[5:00]programmer all my life. I started in the
[5:02]sixth grade freelancer all of my life.
[5:07]I reached the point where I was making
[5:09]$180,000 a year.
[5:12]But that life felt empty,
[5:17]misaligned. I was dying inside.
[5:21]So I did something about it. I made a
[5:22]choice.
[5:24]I moved into an RV. I adapted to that
[5:27]lifestyle. And then I moved across the
[5:29]country by myself.
[5:31]very proud of what I've done
[5:34]and I could never have imagined.
[5:39]This place
[5:43]I feel like it claimed me. I claimed it
[5:45]back. Feel like I belong here.
[5:50]And I had challenges here. I tried
[5:52]volunteering with the Oregon State Parks
[5:54]and they threw me out after after two
[5:56]months.
[5:58]Not because I did anything wrong, but
[6:00]because I saw
[6:02]I saw their dysfunction and I I set
[6:04]boundaries with people. I didn't let
[6:07]them I didn't let them abuse me.
[6:10]And that was apparently just completely
[6:12]unacceptable to them cuz then they
[6:14]really abused me for two more months.
[6:16]Then threw me out my last week.
[6:19]I documented the entire thing on my
[6:21]website.
[6:23]It is undeniable. Even the director had
[6:26]to respond to that.
[6:29]They're right now um
[6:32]violating Oregon law because I submitted
[6:35]a public records request
[6:37]and they haven't acknowledged it
[6:43]because I know what those documents
[6:45]would show.
[6:47]And that really messed me up because I
[6:49]was already struggling.
[6:52]I hadn't worked in a while and I'd been
[6:54]trying to figure out how to how to make
[6:57]um revenue while
[7:00]living in an RV and volunteering
[7:03]and they destabilized my life when they
[7:05]did that. I spent weeks off grid
[7:08]navigating absolute procarity trying to
[7:12]restabilize my life so I could keep
[7:14]building.
[7:16]I ended up volunteering for the Forest
[7:18]Service right next door to them.
[7:22]I didn't hide it. I told I told my
[7:25]supervisor, my my crew, all of them
[7:28]everything that had happened to me.
[7:31]Um so that so the state parks couldn't
[7:33]weaponize it against me.
[7:36]And I've been with them for over 6
[7:38]months. I volunteered on two different
[7:40]campgrounds. They promoted me to
[7:42]caretaker. It's a completely different
[7:44]kind of job.
[7:46]I drive one of their trucks. I go on a
[7:48]route of cleaning bathrooms and trash.
[7:51]and see areas, things like that.
[7:55]I enjoy it. It's It's aligned with the
[7:58]life I'm trying to build. I can't
[8:00]explain all of it in one video.
[8:06]And a lot of it I can't share publicly,
[8:08]which is why I created Sanctum. So, if
[8:10]you really want to get to know me, you
[8:12]have to subscribe to that on my website
[8:16]because a lot of the more personal
[8:18]content is behind that now.
[8:24]So I did I restabilized my life
[8:27]the best that I could
[8:30]and I kept building. So I built the
[8:32]archive, the Huntingman archive about
[8:34]Oregon State Parks, what they did to me.
[8:36]I built Autonomy,
[8:39]I built Sanctum, I built my website, all
[8:41]of it while navigating
[8:44]no job, no money. And I tried many
[8:47]different ways of just like freelancing
[8:49]or getting a job in town and nothing
[8:52]nothing worked. I couldn't find anything
[8:57]and I'm struggling.
[8:59]So I decided I would open source
[9:01]autonomy because that's a business
[9:02]strategy that lets people deploy it for
[9:05]free
[9:07]and
[9:09]some of those you know some of those
[9:11]people want to work with me. there will
[9:13]be some some money involved and um I
[9:16]don't need a lot because my life is is
[9:18]very very basic now
[9:22]minimal minimalist
[9:25]so I think that that is a way for me
[9:29]to line the last piece of my life
[9:31]economics
[9:33]but I need time my internet's about to
[9:36]get shut off the only internet I have is
[9:38]starling because it's the only thing
[9:39]that works here I live in a national
[9:41]forest
[9:42]Nothing else works.
[9:45]Uh my phone
[9:48]and I have to pay that soon. I have to
[9:49]pay that every 3 months as Mint Mobile.
[9:52]Uh I have to pay my server bills. I need
[9:54]funds to process stuff with artificial
[9:57]intelligence. You know, the AI cost with
[10:00]their APIs.
[10:04]I don't need a lot. My life is my life
[10:06]is structured to not need a lot because
[10:08]I think that we're entering a future
[10:10]where
[10:12]you need to navigate life differently.
[10:16]I could use some support.
[10:20]I will leave some links in the
[10:21]description. If you can help, please go
[10:22]to my contribute page or sign up for
[10:25]Sanctum
[10:28]or both cuz Sanctum that's not fun right
[10:31]away. I have a refund policy. You can
[10:34]try it for a week. I'll refund it if you
[10:35]don't like it for whatever reason.
[10:38]Um,
[10:41]but I got to get these bills paid and I
[10:42]don't know.
[10:45]I've sold everything that I can.
[10:47]I've done everything I can.
[10:51]I'm very close. I feel very close to
[10:54]stabilizing this part of my life. I need
[10:57]a bridge. You could be that.
