[0:00]Good morning, YouTube. Can you ma manage
[0:03]a strange angle there with weird
[0:04]lighting and all that? Probably not
[0:06]great audio. Just stick with me while I
[0:09]make some coffee. I got to run the water
[0:11]here for a minute.
[0:14]Um,
[0:18]so it's a Tuesday, one of my days off.
[0:22]It's early. I think it's almost 9 now,
[0:25]though. So, it's not too early, but it's
[0:26]pretty early. This is the latest I've
[0:29]been sleeping lately. Ever since I moved
[0:31]to the work center,
[0:33]sleeping a lot better. It was very hard
[0:35]to um sleep right next to the 101. The
[0:39]road noise is just remarkably loud
[0:43]and it starts early 5 6 in the morning.
[0:47]So, I've been real happy about that.
[0:49]I've noticed the last couple of nights.
[0:53]Um I wanted to talk about what I've been
[0:56]working on. So,
[1:00]so I woke up and I looked to see how
[1:01]much I'd process and what it cost. I
[1:04]spent about $35
[1:06]to process half of my catalog, half my
[1:08]videos. So,
[1:11]um, it goes to like page 18 of my
[1:13]transmissions. There's 24 videos on each
[1:16]page. Uh, some of them are private, some
[1:19]of them are public. It depends on um how
[1:23]the AI decides to categorize them. And
[1:26]my website will even show you. It's got
[1:29]a little lock icon and a different
[1:31]colored background for for the private
[1:34]ones.
[1:35]Um some of them didn't get processed yet
[1:38]because the transcripts I don't have the
[1:40]transcripts for them. I ran out of um my
[1:42]quota on my YouTube a on the YouTube
[1:44]API.
[1:45]Um, oops.
[1:48]Guess that didn't work so well. Oh well.
[1:52]Um, let me just put this here.
[1:56]So, just bear with me. This isn't about
[1:58]me being on camera. I'm just talking to
[2:00]you. Uh, let me grab some coffee here.
[2:05]So, anyways, it's pretty obvious. If you
[2:07]go to my website, you'll see. Um, I'm
[2:09]really, really happy with the results.
[2:11]I've been reading through what the AI
[2:13]has been writing and what it's been
[2:17]generating for my transmissions and it's
[2:20]done about half of them for $35. It's
[2:23]not too bad. I'm going to stop there. Um
[2:27]it got all the way to my it got it went
[2:30]through an entire year. It went through
[2:31]all of 2025. So the entire time that
[2:33]I've been volunteering
[2:35]um all the way through my journey from
[2:39]Kentucky to Oregon. So, a full month of
[2:41]that. I really look forward to reading
[2:43]through those videos. I want to see what
[2:45]it says about me being on top of the
[2:46]mountain in Nevada or traveling through
[2:49]Kansas or what I experienced in Wyoming.
[2:52]Like, there's so many things that uh
[2:54]that will be really fun to read about.
[2:57]And
[2:58]um that was one of the one of the Yeah.
[3:01]So,
[3:02]and then um it basically ends in
[3:07]Kentucky at the last the second to last
[3:09]place that I stayed at. But the first
[3:11]place that I was at, it was Baron River
[3:13]Lake. That's where it ended. Um
[3:18]where I started my RV life. So, um still
[3:22]a lot of neat little synchronicities. It
[3:24]stopped on the video where I got stuck
[3:26]between um a mother deer and her kids
[3:31]some fonds on a trail and I had to just
[3:34]sit there for like an hour. Thought that
[3:36]was interesting, too.
[3:39]So, processed a bunch of stuff.
[3:44]All right, I'm about done here.
[3:52]It just got me thinking, you know, what
[3:55]my next steps are going to be. Wake up
[3:57]every day and I think about, should I
[3:58]look on Upwork? Should I go into town,
[4:00]try to find a job even though I don't
[4:03]have insurance on my Jeep?
[4:06]Um,
[4:07]should I build the Sanctum service? Will
[4:09]people subscribe? All of that. That's
[4:11]that's an ongoing loop in my head. Yeah,
[4:13]has been for a while.
[4:18]So, I discuss it with AI and
[4:22]um
[4:24]I'm going to going to keep building what
[4:26]I'm building. I can't spend too much
[4:28]time on it because worst case scenario,
[4:30]I really do need to find something.
[4:34]I just um
[4:36]really don't have a lot of good options.
[4:38]So, but I know what I'm building and I
[4:40]know what I can do with it and I know
[4:42]that I can offer it to others,
[4:44]especially other creators like YouTubers
[4:46]and podcasters. Not calling myself a
[4:48]creator, I'm a programmer, but you know,
[4:52]um,
[4:56]put together some offering pages, the
[4:58]sanctum service. If I do all of that, if
[5:00]I can get that done, let's say, let's
[5:02]say I just give myself a week to do
[5:04]this, I think it might change
[5:05]everything. So, so that's what I'm going
[5:08]to do. I think it's important because
[5:10]here's another thing. If I do do it,
[5:13]um, and it's even if it doesn't work
[5:16]out, it will be done. It will be there
[5:19]just like I built my website through
[5:22]absolute [ __ ] procarity. Um, you
[5:24]know, this year. And I've been really
[5:28]proud of that because I've always it's,
[5:30]you know, even while I I paused and went
[5:33]and did other things, it was still
[5:35]there. you know, my honeyman archive is
[5:38]there. It's still there being an
[5:39]accountability mechanism.
[5:41]My transmissions were on there. You
[5:43]could always see them even if you um
[5:46]even though you couldn't see them on
[5:47]YouTube because they're unlisted, you
[5:49]know, they're they're still there. Like
[5:50]all my stuff is there and that matters a
[5:52]lot. So, if I built a sanctum service,
[5:55]it's there, you know? So, even if it
[5:57]grows super [ __ ] slow, maybe one
[5:59]person subscribes every couple of months
[6:01]or whatever, it's still there, you know?
[6:04]It's a start. I like I'm building I'm
[6:06]building um I'm building upward
[6:09]momentum. So, I'm going to do that.
[6:13]Um
[6:15]I feel good about this choice. I just
[6:17]want to share that with you.
[6:20]Um I'm going to change some things. So,
[6:23]because
[6:26]um because I got this technology working
[6:29]out, you know, I'm going to change the
[6:32]way that I post to YouTube. I'm going to
[6:34]start putting real titles there again
[6:36]and real descriptions and keywords and
[6:38]all that so that it's just more
[6:39]discoverable. The reason I was using
[6:41]ulits and and listing my videos the way
[6:44]I was is because I was encrypting my
[6:45]channel basically. I wanted to keep
[6:47]talking on it cuz I knew what I was
[6:48]doing um would eventually lead to what I
[6:51]just built. Um but I didn't want to deal
[6:53]with all the noise that I would have got
[6:55]if you know just random people
[6:57]discovering my channel and stuff like
[6:58]that. But we're in a different we're at
[7:00]a different stage now. So, I'll process
[7:03]them with AI and then I'll have, you
[7:05]know, I can use the data that AI creates
[7:07]to create the titles and descriptions
[7:10]and all that make might make my channel
[7:12]discoverable again. And we'll see what
[7:14]where that goes. Um, I might even allow
[7:17]comments, but I will never read them. If
[7:19]I do, I will never read the comments on
[7:21]YouTube if I allow them. So, if I turn
[7:23]them on, it won't be for me. It'll just
[7:24]be because I'm manipulating the platform
[7:26]like everybody [ __ ] else does, right?
[7:29]So,
[7:30]um,
[7:33]yeah, we're at a new, this is a new day,
[7:35]new new era for us cuz I'm going to
[7:42]start showing what the [ __ ] I've been
[7:44]building and start offering it to
[7:46]others. So,
[7:50]um, it's pretty neat because I know
[7:52]that, um, as soon as, you know, I end
[7:55]this and I upload it, it gets turned
[7:57]into a transcript and then I can process
[8:00]it with AI and it will actually go
[8:01]through this video and make make
[8:03]timestamps that I can put, you know, I
[8:05]can put that in the description, too, so
[8:07]that it has chapters on YouTube like
[8:08]automatically. I don't have to go
[8:10]through and figure out the timestamps
[8:12]and, you know, these the subtitles and
[8:14]all that. It just does it all
[8:15]automatically.
[8:16]So,
[8:19]um,
[8:20]yeah, maybe we see what see where that
[8:22]goes.
