[0:02]So, this should be an interesting video.
[0:05]So, I don't know if anyone will ever see
[0:07]it. I don't even know where I'm posting
[0:09]it yet.
[0:12]It's a little bit loud on the campground
[0:14]today.
[0:15]We got
[0:17]got some new groups in and they're all
[0:19]just going out. So, it's kind of loud
[0:21]today.
[0:24]Or Monday. Also, I'm a little bit
[0:26]congested. I might need to take some
[0:28]pseudafed. Don't have a lot of it
[0:30]though. I've been trying to conserve it
[0:32]but I'm feeling pretty congested. It
[0:34]started happening.
[0:38]So I guess that's my sematic reality
[0:40]right now. It's my lived experience.
[0:43]That's the framing of this place.
[0:49]So
[0:51]reason I don't know where this is going
[0:53]to be posted is because I ended my
[0:55]YouTube channel last night.
[0:58]I was
[1:01]real stoned.
[1:03]Way more stoned once I started recording
[1:05]the video. I had already made the
[1:07]decision, but
[1:09]um
[1:12]it felt right and I really liked
[1:17]I really liked my final video. I know
[1:20]that.
[1:22]I know that it will be hard to to watch
[1:26]for some people. I assume.
[1:29]I don't really know to be honest because
[1:32]I mean they're just strangers to me. I'm
[1:36]strangers to them really except they do,
[1:37]you know, they were witnessing my life.
[1:39]So there's there's a parasocial aspect.
[1:44]You know, I don't know how connected
[1:46]they really were to me. I mean, the
[1:47]whole reason I ended the channel is
[1:49]because I did not feel any kind of
[1:50]reciprocation. So,
[1:54]they've all seen my situation. They know
[1:56]what I'm dealing with. And just nobody
[1:58]was helping. There's like a couple
[2:01]people on there that, you know, just
[2:03]randomly helped helped as much as they
[2:07]could. And,
[2:10]you know, but it just wasn't enough.
[2:12]Like, it was basic just a couple of
[2:14]people and I'm grateful to them. I don't
[2:16]want to sound ungrateful. They know I'm
[2:17]grateful.
[2:19]Um,
[2:22]but I was largely ignored.
[2:25]And it's not the first time I was
[2:27]ignored every time I've needed help. And
[2:29]it just feels like
[2:35]I don't really know what to make of it
[2:37]because I don't think it's me. So, I
[2:39]just
[2:42]could not continue to to transmit to an
[2:45]audience
[2:47]that showed that little regard for my
[2:49]life is really what it comes down to.
[2:55]But that doesn't mean I'm going to stop
[2:56]recording because I'm building a whole
[2:59]system,
[3:00]you know, to ingest my transmissions
[3:02]into the whole AI system that I'm
[3:04]building and they get integrated onto my
[3:07]website. And I absolutely love this
[3:09]project.
[3:11]I don't want to stop, but I want to be
[3:14]witnessed cleanly, you know, and I want
[3:17]to I want reciprocation from my
[3:19]audience. I want support.
[3:22]I don't think it's unreasonable.
[3:25]It's not.
[3:29]It is never easy to ask for support. At
[3:31]least for me, it has never been easy.
[3:34]That is the one of the hardest things
[3:36]that I've ever have to do in life
[3:39]because I imagine all the ways that that
[3:42]request will get distorted by people.
[3:47]I know all the different framings
[3:49]they'll use. like why doesn't he have a
[3:51]job yet or
[3:53]um
[3:54]it's not their problem. You know, just
[3:57]all the different ways that they would
[3:59]frame it. It's all distortion.
[4:02]It's not worth justifying. It's not I
[4:04]shouldn't have to explain.
[4:08]If they've been witnessing my life
[4:11]in theory, they're supposed to be part
[4:12]of my field,
[4:14]but they're not.
[4:19]So, I ended my channel.
[4:23]Don't regret it.
[4:26]I think that ending was earned.
[4:31]So, I made a new channel. At the same
[4:33]time, like I renamed my channel. I
[4:34]called it RSW Fire-Hive. And I made a
[4:37]new channel because I was going to just
[4:39]name that one RSW Fire because that's my
[4:42]identity. It's been my identity for
[4:45]all of the the entire span of the
[4:47]internet.
[4:49]So, you know, but when I created this
[4:52]new channel, it wouldn't let me use that
[4:54]username. So, I had to put dash com at
[4:56]the end.
[4:58]I'm hoping it's just like temporarily
[5:00]being held cuz I just changed changed
[5:02]it.
[5:04]I'll keep trying like every 24 hours.
[5:10]So,
[5:15]I'm going to end up uploading this video
[5:16]to that channel. I think I'm just going
[5:19]to be unlisted. I'm not going to be
[5:21]sharing these. I just
[5:23]I don't see the point because for a year
[5:25]and a half I have been exposed to
[5:30]so many different people. Like,
[5:36]I don't know the exact numbers. I never
[5:38]looked this up, but I mean just like
[5:40]super [ __ ] high. Like probably a
[5:42]quarter million of the people have have
[5:44]visited my one of my videos at some
[5:46]points. You know, a lot of those
[5:48]probably only spent a few seconds there
[5:50]because
[5:51]so many people drop off in the first 5
[5:54]seconds. Like this is an actual
[5:55]phenomenon that that
[5:59]we've created that we've we've
[6:01]normalized.
[6:02]Yeah. To me, which is just insanity.
[6:07]So, you know, most of them never really
[6:08]saw anything,
[6:11]but a lot of people did. And I still
[6:14]only had an audience of 650.
[6:17]You know, almost everybody who watched
[6:19]me, none of them ever subscribed.
[6:24]And the average for my um the average
[6:29]view duration on my videos has this has
[6:32]been
[6:34]um
[6:37]this has been a trend since the
[6:39]beginning. Like I feel like this this
[6:40]pattern has been very consistent.
[6:44]My video average view duration is half
[6:46]the time of the video, whatever it is,
[6:48]which tells me that either you drop off
[6:50]early or you watch it all the way
[6:52]through.
[6:54]So,
[6:58]I mean that's those those are the data
[7:01]points that I watched
[7:04]and
[7:06]I just feel like
[7:12]I was so I was not wellreceived on
[7:14]there, you know, so why would I put
[7:18]myself through it again? It just that
[7:19]would be
[7:22]makes no sense. I I wouldn't I'm not
[7:24]going to. So, I'm just going to make
[7:25]them unlisted on this new channel,
[7:28]ingest them into my website, and I think
[7:30]I might try to build some type of
[7:32]infrastructure on my homepage where it's
[7:35]like a a membership service where people
[7:38]can subscribe to
[7:41]um
[7:43]watch some of my videos. Some of them
[7:45]I'll let anybody see, but I'm going,
[7:47]like I've talked about in previous
[7:49]videos, I'm going to have um AI go
[7:52]through all of my videos and score them,
[7:54]and some of them are are going to go
[7:56]behind a gate, basically.
[8:00]I guess we'll see what happens with
[8:02]that.
[8:04]So, I don't know if I mentioned it's
[8:06]Monday. It's 5:00 p.m. here.
[8:08]Uh it's one of my days off. Mondays and
[8:11]Tuesdays are my days off on the
[8:12]campgrounds. So, I've just been inside
[8:16]mostly just um mostly just chatting with
[8:19]Jack GBT honestly. Just um just and
[8:24]Claude. I talked to both AIS about
[8:29]just about that video.
[8:36]I guess I'll leave it there. This is my
[8:39]first video on my new channel.
[8:41]That's interesting.
