[0:01]Good
[0:03]morning. It's It's 6 something, I think.
[0:07]Yeah, it's 6:00 in the
[0:09]morning.
[0:10]So, my batteries are still on, which is
[0:14]really surprising to me. So, I got this
[0:17]light over here working, but I thought
[0:20]about this last night. I I think I was
[0:22]sleeping like
[0:25]um like in a dream or something. I had
[0:27]this thought
[0:30]So, I have two house batteries and then
[0:33]I have my starter battery. They're
[0:35]separate. There's the starter battery is
[0:37]near the um the driver door and the
[0:41]house batteries are are under the stops
[0:44]in the back. I'm going to turn my heat
[0:47]on. It's pretty cold this
[0:51]morning. Might as well. I
[0:54]still Okay. Hey,
[0:57]so when I'm driving my
[1:00]RV, it will charge those house
[1:05]batteries. And it just occurred to me
[1:07]that if it does
[1:09]that, is it possible that the house
[1:12]batteries are drawing power from the
[1:14]starter battery right now to keep them
[1:17]running, to keep them
[1:18]going? Cuz I would not want that. But I
[1:21]just want the house batteries to die cuz
[1:24]um you know I could survive that but I
[1:27]can't survive a vehicle that doesn't
[1:29]start. So um I need to find out about
[1:33]that today and
[1:35]um you know just need to find out. So
[1:42]um so I want to acknowledge some um
[1:45]donations I received. So,
[1:49]um, I received $20 from someone
[1:52]yesterday. Thank you for that. I really
[1:54]appreciate it. I'm sorry I don't have
[1:56]your name in front of me, but I wouldn't
[1:57]have read it anyways because I'm kind of
[1:59]weird like that. I My hair looks
[2:02]terrible. Oh,
[2:04]man.
[2:06]Um,
[2:10]I you know, I would want permission
[2:12]before I said somebody's name. I
[2:14]wouldn't want to just say their name on
[2:16]on publicly like that. So, um I know
[2:20]that lots of
[2:21]people, you know, they they would just
[2:24]share somebody's first name or whatever.
[2:26]I just
[2:30]um and I did do that the first time
[2:32]someone sent me money. So,
[2:35]um I guess I'm not even consistent about
[2:38]this myself, but I'm
[2:43]um I don't know. It's it's an edge for
[2:45]me. I've always I'm always unsure about
[2:48]that one. And then um so someone sent me
[2:51]$20 yesterday and then someone sent me
[2:53]$20 this morning. And the person who
[2:55]sent me $20 this morning had already
[2:57]sent me $20 a couple of days
[3:00]ago, which told me that this person
[3:06]um well, they're very kind obviously and
[3:11]they're thinking about me and that
[3:13]that's very moving and I appreciate
[3:16]that. Um, their name I wouldn't have
[3:19]even been able to pronounce. So, um, you
[3:23]know, it's I'm not sure. I think it's
[3:26]Italian or something. I have no
[3:28]idea. Um, I've never talked to either of
[3:32]these two and
[3:35]um, just thank you. I This means a lot.
[3:39]It really means a lot. So, um, let me
[3:43]just point out. So, I think the second
[3:46]person was it was a little over $20. I
[3:49]think they're sending me the exact
[3:50]amount I need to book a uh my campground
[3:53]one night at a time. So, you know,
[3:56]that's
[3:58]um so but I just want to know because of
[4:01]fees I don't get that exact amount. So,
[4:05]um when this person had sent me that
[4:08]money the other day, they'd sent me $20
[4:11]and something something like that. Um, I
[4:14]kept it in my PayPal account. I didn't
[4:16]want to transfer it to my bank because I
[4:17]was afraid that if it was in my bank
[4:19]account and just sitting there, some
[4:20]random charge come along and take my
[4:23]money from me. So, that is, you know,
[4:27]that
[4:29]is a situation that when you're really
[4:32]poor, you know, when you're really
[4:34]desperate,
[4:36]you're, you know, most people would not
[4:38]even think about this, but this is how I
[4:40]have to think. It's like if I put my
[4:42]money in my bank account, well, I have
[4:44]it when I need it.
[4:46]That's, you know, so, um, I'm going to
[4:50]transfer it today, though. So, I should
[4:53]and I should be able to use that to,
[4:58]um, I don't know if it'll get me three
[5:00]nights. It'll definitely get me two. Um,
[5:03]there's also a fee. I thought of this is
[5:05]another thing. So, every time you book,
[5:07]and I didn't know the National Forest
[5:09]are the same way the state parks are,
[5:10]but the national forest does this, too.
[5:13]Whenever you book your stay
[5:16]online, your campgrounds, they charge an
[5:19]extra fee, a booking fee. It's like
[5:22]seven or eight. And so, if I had booked
[5:25]my um my stay one day at a time, that
[5:30]just increases the cost of, you know,
[5:32]the spot. So, it's like I think it's
[5:35]20 I think it's $23 a night. So, if
[5:40]I had taken the money I got the other
[5:42]day and use that to book the this place
[5:45]for one more night, I'd really be paying
[5:47]$30 a night. And it's like I can't
[5:50]afford that right now cuz that that's a
[5:53]real cost that adds up. So, I'm a little
[5:58]um frustrated about that. Don't, you
[6:02]know, um, on a state campground, you
[6:06]could avoid that by just paying cash and
[6:08]seeing, um, a ranger directly and
[6:10]getting them to do the booking for you.
[6:12]But here in the national forest, I've
[6:14]not seen a single ranger the entire time
[6:16]I've been here. So,
[6:19]um, you know, I have no idea if there's
[6:22]a similar situation you could navigate
[6:24]here. I' I've never seen one. So,
[6:30]um I think that that gets me enough time
[6:33]to my birthday, which is Friday. So,
[6:35]April 11th is my birthday. I'm very
[6:37]excited for this. Oh, and then the last
[6:40]thing. So, I really need to
[6:43]shower.
[6:45]Um and you know, I have no water or
[6:47]power here. I technically have a little
[6:49]bit of power. I don't have power that
[6:50]you know that uses plugs. I can use my
[6:52]lights. I can turn the heat on. That's
[6:54]it for now. But that's that's not going
[6:57]to last much longer. Anyways,
[7:00]um I need the showers and there's a
[7:03]place in town it says um laundry and
[7:06]showers. It's directly across from the
[7:07]Taco Bell. I saw it when I went to get
[7:09]Taco Bell the other day. I made a video
[7:12]about this and
[7:14]um just need to go check that place out
[7:17]and find out what it costs because you
[7:19]know it's going to cost something. And I
[7:22]was told from a friend that that's a
[7:23]chain that they're actually um in a few
[7:27]different places along the coast in
[7:28]different cities, which that sounds
[7:30]nice. And maybe that means they have
[7:33]some kind of like a monthly service or,
[7:36]you know, I'll go find out about that
[7:38]today. So, um that's another thing. And
[7:41]then um my power bank this thing it's
[7:47]down
[7:49]to oh it's only at 50% but it's saying
[7:52]remaining time is one day. I guess I
[7:54]don't have to do it today. I thought I
[7:56]did. Um and I got this one. This is the
[8:00]this is my mobile one I take with me on
[8:03]the beach and stuff like that. Um at
[8:05]some point I'm going to have to charge
[8:06]these using my invert. And I thought I
[8:08]was going to have to do that today.
[8:11]Um, they haven't hooked that up to my
[8:13]Jeep. That's it's a complicated, you
[8:15]know, thing to do. And,
[8:17]um, so it's raining today and I was
[8:20]thinking, you know, putting the inverter
[8:22]would be out in the rain. I really
[8:24]wouldn't want that. And I can't even
[8:27]take my awning out because if the power
[8:29]dies while the awning's out, I never get
[8:31]the awning back in. So,
[8:34]um, this is what I'm navigating right
[8:36]now. I'm just sharing my morning and
[8:40]um going to navigate a new day.
[8:44]The last thing I'm going to say is I got
[8:46]some um I'm getting starting to get
[8:49]comments from people who are giving
[8:51]prescriptive advice, who are framing my
[8:54]life um inaccurately, who are not
[8:56]witnessing me accurately, who
[9:01]um who
[9:06]are this is something I'm going to talk
[9:08]about one day because this is this is
[9:11]what really gets to me is that People
[9:14]have forgotten how to witness another
[9:16]human being. They are too
[9:18][Music]
[9:21]busy framing
[9:23]them through projection and um doing
[9:28]this hierarchical suffering
[9:31]um
[9:35]um you know I want to get I want to get
[9:37]this right but this is something
[9:41]that it's a problem not for me for
[9:46]for those who engage in this kind of
[9:49]behavior.
[9:50]And you know, I
[9:53]just I'm not going to ignore it. I'm
[9:55]going to I'm going to be direct about
[9:57]it. Um I don't want your prescriptive
[10:00]advice. I'm not interested in it. It's
[10:02]not even helpful. Um, if you're framing
[10:07]my life or projecting,
[10:12]um, like this person was talking about
[10:14]all the systems in my RV that make my
[10:16]life better than a van lifer and that's
[10:18] First of all, um, I
[10:21]don't like that hierarchical nonsense.
[10:23]Um, you don't compare suffering and my
[10:26]systems don't work if I don't have
[10:27]power. So, um, it's just like this is
[10:31]the kind of flattening of experience
[10:34]that people do all the time. And, you
[10:37]know, I'm not going to tolerate it. So,
[10:40]um, I'm going to demand respect from my
[10:44]audience. Anyway, uh, I'm just going to
[10:46]leave it there for now. I It's 6:00 in
[10:49]the morning and I'm just about to get my
[10:51]day
[10:53]started. It's only 9:00 in the morning.
[10:56]It's already
[10:57]wonderful sun up
[10:59]here. Very warm. Don't even need my
[11:02]coat.
[11:09][Music]
[11:22][Music]
[11:27][Music]
[11:40]They are looking awesome out
[11:42]there. We're going to get way better
[11:44]video of this someday, but they're a bit
[11:46]too far off. And this part of the ocean
[11:49]doesn't look very easy to
[11:51]trace. So, I'm going to turn
[11:54]around. But they're so cool to watch out
[11:56]there. They're just out there just
[11:58]basically chilling right on the sand,
[12:00]right on the beach, just having a good
[12:03]time, taking it
[12:05]casual, and they just I don't know. They
[12:08]were down here at first, so I guess
[12:09]they're just slowly making their way up
[12:11]that beach.
[12:13]There we are tracing the ocean.
[12:18]This beautiful ocean. I love it
[12:21]so
[12:22]much.
[12:24]This makes my life so
[12:27]fulfilling. There are no
[12:29]words, just presence with that thing.
