[0:00]I'm working on the fountain.
[0:02]Someone sent their space up in there. Of
[0:07]course. You want to share? Trying to
[0:09]distract my brain. Those are pretty. Are
[0:12]they real or no? No, they're not real.
[0:16]They're nice looking.
[0:18]I've never been in here, John. So, do
[0:21]these turn on? Yeah, they're lights.
[0:25]Nice. I like the stent structure. It
[0:28]does.
[0:29]Wow. So, do they all go down like this?
[0:32]These covers? Oh, yeah. I have covers
[0:35]all the way around, including the doors.
[0:38]Okay. I don't use them, but they come
[0:40]with came with all
[0:46]those hide all the
[0:52]acrylic. Come on, guys. Very nice,
[0:56]John.
[0:57]You know what I like most about
[1:00]John? At first, he misunderstood me when
[1:03]I met him, but somehow he figured me out
[1:06]and he never tried to change me after
[1:08]that. He just witnessed me. He became my
[1:11]friend.
[1:13]And he rolls with everything. This man
[1:16]joking around with me now saying I can
[1:18]never sit still. He's doing this last
[1:20]night.
[1:22]And you know that's only a friend could.
[1:25]This man doesn't try to change me. He
[1:28]lost me record by
[1:34]YouTube. He's a rare
[1:36]soul. We're going to go out to the
[1:38]beach. He's going to just sit and chill
[1:40]on the beach while I go walking down it
[1:42]tracing the waves. So I heading back to
[1:45]my RV here. Just going to grab a new pop
[1:48]so that I have something to take with
[1:50]me.
[1:52]and then we'll be
[1:54]out. That's a nice sight right
[1:57]there. It's a beautiful spot, too.
[2:00]Definitely like to come back to this
[2:02]one.
[2:03]So,
[2:06]yeah, it's a good day. Every day is a
[2:09]good day, though, to me. I truly believe
[2:11]that. I don't Doesn't matter what's
[2:14]going on, it's always a good
[2:15]day. Okay, let's head out of here.
[2:19]So, I found the shower
[2:21]house. Need to get down there. That's
[2:23]about to become a luxury for
[2:26]me. Um, they're individual showers,
[2:28]which makes them perfect. I don't like
[2:31]the shared shower facilities. As a gay
[2:32]man, I've never felt safe in them.
[2:35]Nobody wants to get naked around other
[2:37]men, especially straight men who can
[2:40]react very badly to gay
[2:42]men. So, I really hate the campgrounds
[2:46]that have shared facilities.
[2:49]But some of the
[2:50]parks, they've been upgrading their
[2:53]infrastructure and I think it's this
[2:55]way. Um, they've been upgrading their
[2:58]infrastructure. Way nicer shower houses.
[3:01]They're quite nice. So, I just got to
[3:04]get my shower back together. I want to
[3:05]get all my stuff together. Reintegrate
[3:08]cuz I've been showering in my RV for
[3:10]months as a volunteer. I had full
[3:12]hookups. Made a lot easier. Can't do
[3:14]that now. So, uh, reintegrate the
[3:17]process of showering at the shower
[3:18]houses and still taking good care of
[3:20]myself, putting moisturizers on and
[3:22]stuff like that. Um, things that make my
[3:25]eyes look less puffy and get rid of
[3:27]those wrinkles around the
[3:30]eyes. It's okay though. I'm still
[3:34]beautiful, as I always
[3:36]say.
[3:38]Um, something else I was going to
[3:40]mention, forgot
[3:42]now. Let's see.
[3:49]No, that thought's gone. I'll be back.
[3:52]So, John's having a very good day. He's
[3:54]getting pins and patches and bags and
[3:57]all kinds of stuff. He's talking about
[3:59]that. Then he goes, "Sorry, I know how
[4:01]much you really wanted to be here cuz
[4:03]he's the sweetest man ever." I said,
[4:05]"Don't worry. I can hold both
[4:06]realities." He says, "I figured you
[4:08]could." Cuz that's how that's how much
[4:09]we know each other. It's wonderful.
[4:12]We're going out to the beach
[4:16]now. I'll just record for a little
[4:19]while. I want my memories.
[4:29]I thought I figured
[4:37]one side of my awning's like that. I
[4:39]need I was just thinking I need WD40 for
[4:41]that.
[4:42]or the silicon.
[4:46]We'll be heading out in a moment.
[4:48]Probably going to buy the silicon spray.
[4:50]It's a little more expensive, but it's
[4:51]supposedly better. There firewood's
[4:53]behind this, right? Yeah. Okay. Hope so.
[4:59]Yeah.
[5:02]It's a very nice site. This is
[5:06]You know, they they really take care of
[5:08]their volunteers here cuz this is a nice
[5:10]site. I mean, well, this is new. All
[5:11]this got new from that damn storm damage
[5:14]last year that shut him down.
[5:16]Well, plus everything you told, you
[5:18]know. Well, yeah. They're making a real
[5:21]strong effort to make us happy, and
[5:24]that's important to hear. Yes.
[5:32]And never got to meet him in person, but
[5:34]I knew he was a good person.
[5:37]And maybe I'll run into them on the
[5:39]campground and I'll say, "I told you
[5:41]there was an inevitability." Even though
[5:43]I'm not going to be here.
[5:46]The insects are starting to What is
[5:48]that? That is so weird.
[5:51]Whatever that is. This white specks. Oh,
[5:54]it came off.
[5:56]Look with the light. With the light
[5:58]fibers. Yeah, the fibers on
[6:01]I really hate these. They're so ugly
[6:03]looking. I don't like being seen with
[6:05]them. They're a really nice couple here.
[6:07]You're the youngest people. Okay.
[6:11]Um, you know, when I walk around these
[6:13]campgrounds now, John, you know, I see a
[6:16]ranger or volunteer and they're waving
[6:18]to me or whatever. I'm thinking, do they
[6:20]know me? Have they seen my videos? What
[6:22]do they think? All of that because how
[6:25]could I
[6:27]not? But it's okay. Just going to be
[6:30]myself. Let people form their own
[6:31]opinions.
[6:35]I'll show us the view out here. It's a
[6:38]nice
[6:39]campground. Making a walk to the beach
[6:41]now. We're going to the trash first.
[6:43]Well, it's on our way. Okay.
[6:46]Did you go down to see that trailer I
[6:49]was talking about? Oh, I never made it
[6:50]out of the my RV. So, it should still be
[6:52]here. Okay. Unless they were checking
[6:54]out at one. I um when I saw it, holy
[6:58]crap. Of all trailers to be there,
[6:59]that's the one I told you that your Jeep
[7:01]would pull. Oh, okay. I remember that
[7:02]day. So, hope they're there then.
[7:06]Unfortunately, even though you'll see
[7:08]how small it is. It's my Jeep or a Jeep
[7:10]truck. No, your Jeep. Okay. Yeah.
[7:12]Basically, it that's what it's You'll
[7:14]see it. It's a little
[7:16]CRV pulling it. Meant for Remember, I'm
[7:20]going your pace, so don't let me don't
[7:21]let me lead. Yeah. So, yeah, they're
[7:24]meant for small compact vehicles.
[7:27]They're actually They look small from
[7:29]the outside, but inside the space is
[7:31]amazing. because it's got a
[7:34]V-shaped dinette booth with a table
[7:37]V-shaped and then that drops and that
[7:40]makes a queen-siz bed at night and it
[7:42]has a bathroom, a kitchen. Oh, that
[7:44]would be nice. Something modular like
[7:46]that. Nice. And it's windows all around
[7:48]you. Okay. Just amazing. Cool. It sounds
[7:51]nice. Absolutely fell in love. I went
[7:52]and was at Tugman last year and this
[7:56]lesbian couple had it. You know, that
[7:58]right there is not a bad pop-up camper
[8:00]because most of it's solid. Yeah, it's
[8:02]solid except for the front and the back.
[8:04]That's what unfolds. So, you can leave
[8:07]it closed. Yeah. And drop the dinette
[8:09]down. So, if you're in bad conditions,
[8:11]you don't want a tent. That would be
[8:13]nice. What do you think they're um
[8:15]called? Still a pop-up camp. It's just a
[8:18]hybrid. It's just going to fall under
[8:21]trying to keep other people off this
[8:22]camera here. So, I'm tilting it when I
[8:25]Yeah. fall under compact trailers.
[8:27]Humans detected. Mhm.
[8:31]Hello. More room. It's rough.
[8:35]You can go on the rough surface.
[8:38]Yeah. But I think the I call it the
[8:41]snail. It has some other name. I think
[8:42]it's snail in some other language.
[8:45]Spanish or something like that. But the
[8:46]popup camper talking about Okay. Okay.
[8:49]It is a popup, but it's acrylic. Oh. And
[8:53]solid. So there's no tenting, right? So
[8:56]stability is really it's just very safe
[8:59]on a vehicle to take. Okay. Your safety.
[9:04]You're so kind. I mean, as a camper, you
[9:07]go to a remote area, you want to be able
[9:09]to lock your door, just take Well, plus
[9:11]my stuff, you know. Yeah, exactly.
[9:14]Somebody wants to get in a popup tent or
[9:16]pop out tent. Yeah, that's pretty easy.
[9:18]Yeah. Two seconds, they're in. Yeah.
[9:26]I kind of like that truck one there. I
[9:28]saw this one earlier cuz it looks like
[9:30]they go up like really high. Almost like
[9:33]it's two stories in a way. It's designed
[9:35]to give you when it's down very little
[9:39]wind resistance. Uhhuh. But then once
[9:42]once it's up, you got full headroom,
[9:44]right? But again, you have to get the
[9:47]new thermal ones. It's probably one of
[9:49]the ones because the material needs to
[9:52]be able to handle cold. Do you know what
[9:55]this is? I couldn't figure out what that
[9:56]is up there. Those weird looking white
[9:58]ball things. Oh, that's vents. Vents.
[10:01]Pulling air just to pull air out of the
[10:05]building. Very commercial.
[10:08]Saw that yesterday. These trees are were
[10:11]supposed to be taken down, but I guess
[10:12]they big trees stopped acorns.
[10:19]I just love some of the root systems on
[10:21]these over here by the creek. This is a
[10:24]nice spot. I saw this yesterday. Thought
[10:26]the same thing. This is a nice Oh,
[10:28]there's a creek right there. Yeah. It'
[10:31]be a nice place to camp, too. I was
[10:32]looking at, you know, it' be tent
[10:34]camping or dry camping, but near the
[10:36]ocean really well. Yeah. Yeah. Your
[10:38]motor. Yeah. You could squeeze the Jeep
[10:40]in them side by side. Yeah. Like I said,
[10:44]I'm hoping these people haven't left yet
[10:46]cuz you'll I think you'd really like Oh,
[10:48]so they're up at the front of the park.
[10:49]That's why you said if you go to the
[10:51]beach. Gotcha. Yeah.
[10:54]Yeah. I notice that's where all the
[10:57]people congregate. It's up there. Well,
[11:00]it makes sense cuz they want one, you
[11:01]hearing the roar of the ocean. Yeah. And
[11:03]then second, you've got really easy walk
[11:07]to the ocean cuz like here where I am
[11:10]and you are, we're way way
[11:13]back. This is another nice couple that's
[11:16]coming up too. Yeah. Damn it. See if I
[11:18]left. Okay. Well, if you know what it's
[11:20]called, I'll Google it. Like I said,
[11:22]it's like I'm sorry, Alto or something
[11:25]like that. Okay. you I'll look at it see
[11:28]if I can find it online cuz it is like I
[11:31]said when I saw it last year it's about
[11:33]a even though it's a small trailer it's
[11:35]about 15,000 okay it's not cheap but
[11:39]for your purpose it's good quality and
[11:41]you know you would sell your motor home
[11:43]and be able to pay cash for it keep a
[11:45]Jeep be you know a perfect combination
[11:48]for you
[11:50]huh yeah they left it yeah you're right
[11:53]I could do that couldn't I even though I
[11:55]have even though it's Binance if I sell
[11:56]out for more than it's finest. Yeah,
[11:58]exactly. And it's really, you
[12:01]know, simple. It has everything you
[12:03]would need in it. That's a cool looking
[12:07]um I'll pause
[12:10]this. Your motor home's right there,
[12:12]man. It's exactly like
[12:14]yours. You see it? It's even got the
[12:17]blue
[12:19]light. There's another one here
[12:22]like another popup style. Yeah.
[12:27]But again, it just means you have
[12:28]corrugated
[12:30]roof. No, it's a it's that material. Oh,
[12:34]I see it now. Yeah. See, this is a
[12:37]smaller version. The spaceship spaceship
[12:39]material. So, I think this is the same
[12:41]vehicle. I love this one. I love that
[12:43]one. I did. It's more you because it's
[12:45]it's a smaller design.
[12:47]Oh, they got pretty nice.
[12:57]Yeah. So, we had to drive all the way
[12:59]down here. All our supplies for the year
[13:01]are in the woodshed. It's
[13:03]like going down the list of things
[13:06]going, maybe you might want to think of
[13:08]this, maybe you want to think about
[13:09]that. And they liked it because again
[13:12]they're stumbling along still within the
[13:15]management because their whole team
[13:17]almost well they have a lot of longtime
[13:20]ranges here but their major ones are all
[13:22]within the last year to 3 years. So
[13:26]they're still learning.
[13:29]This is a nice feature for a park. The
[13:31]ice ice machines. That's nice. Put some
[13:34]maps in there and stuff. Yeah. like down
[13:37]at um it's what they do at
[13:40]um oh man I can't ever remember names
[13:45]that place in um in Brookings
[13:49]can't remember the name of it those
[13:52]places there Harris Beach Harris
[13:54]Beach that it's nice
[13:56]park where that man flirted with
[14:00]me I'll never forget it that was a
[14:04]moment
[14:06]This is one thing I always loved about
[14:07]Oregon State Parks is how they recycle
[14:09]so many different kinds of things. Yeah,
[14:12]we have everything. All the different I
[14:14]don't see a propane one. No, that's one
[14:16]thing they don't seem to have. I was
[14:18]going to ask him that. I forgot. Yeah,
[14:20]every park's different.
[14:23]Yeah. Yeah. It depends on I found out
[14:25]with when we were at Tugman that Randy
[14:28]said it's a county warning ordinance.
[14:33]Okay. that um Oh, so they're required to
[14:36]do it. Some Well, no. What happens is
[14:38]some counties won't allow it. Oh, okay.
[14:41]See,
[14:42]so they can't do it, but they would
[14:45]rather what? They get thrown in the
[14:46]trash. I don't know cuz it's like one of
[14:49]those in the trash and you compress it
[14:50]down. Yep. Boom. That's what a guest
[14:53]said to me when I was at Huntingman
[14:54]because they were asking me about it and
[14:56]that's what they said to me and I didn't
[14:57]know that was a thing and I was like,
[14:59]"Wow." Yeah. You mean so every time I've
[15:01]been compacting this thing, there's a
[15:03]chance that was in there. Yeah.
[15:08]I was going to Google that and see if
[15:09]there were any videos. I didn't I didn't
[15:13]Yeah. You know, because because people
[15:16]do it. Yeah. A lot of people are like
[15:18]you that like the video. So the odds are
[15:21]it's over there. I like this bridge.
[15:24]Yeah. You know that cement piece? It
[15:26]looks like a you know almost like a
[15:28]scene. The oval shape. It looked like
[15:30]one piece. I couldn't see any lines.
[15:33]Well, what's cool is on the new stickers
[15:35]that they've, you know, done for all the
[15:36]parks and all the new signs. This is our
[15:40]sign. Ours. That's what's on ours now.
[15:42]It's this bridge. Oh, okay. Cool. That's
[15:45]the other thing the woman wanted to
[15:46]know. How long does it take to build it?
[15:48]Blah blah blah blah blah blah. Like,
[15:50]shut up, please. I want it so bad. Shut
[15:53]up.
[15:56]Thought I was being nice. Of course you
[15:58]were. There were a whole bunch of people
[16:00]coming in this morning while we were in
[16:02]the doing the orientation. They just car
[16:05]after car pulling in. There are
[16:07]volunteers everywhere just doing all
[16:09]kinds of things. See, there's one over
[16:10]there. I mean, they're just just
[16:11]everywhere. They're everywhere. I guess
[16:14]this will be the day use area. Yeah.
[16:19]Yeah.
[16:25]I don't see a
[16:27]Oh, I thought that was It's just a bike.
[16:29]Okay, never mind. It's a bike. I thought
[16:31]it was um thought it was a a golf cart.
[16:38]Hello.
[16:43]Hello. Yeah.
[16:52]Now, I know there there's a big
[16:54]difference between a summer beach and a
[16:56]winter beach. The summer beach is going
[16:58]to have a big sand going way out. A big
[17:01]why? They'll have a big sandy beach
[17:03]going way out. Okay. I love when a river
[17:06]goes into the ocean. Me, too. They're
[17:08]making love to each other. Yep. That's
[17:11]what I call it. They're all a lot. You
[17:14]know, they're melting together. Yep.
[17:18]It's awesome.
[17:21]See, that's your rock. I wonder how we
[17:23]get over there. I haven't been on that
[17:25]side. I mean, I guess you can walk over
[17:27]that, but I don't want to get wet. Yes.
[17:29]Yes, you can. Me?
[17:33]Oh, right.
[17:34]Right. Um,
[17:37]there must be a way though. Well, you go
[17:39]through. Yeah. Well, no.
[17:43]Yeah, over there. That's what I was
[17:44]thinking. Maybe there's a way over
[17:45]there. Well, the path is washed away,
[17:47]but yeah, you still can
[17:50]go down. Oh, there's a lot of driftwood,
[17:53]too, to get around. Yeah, the path's
[17:55]totally gone. This is all good. But
[17:58]normally your beach like this. There's
[18:01]the ocean way out there before. There
[18:04]she is.
[18:06]Look how that spreads out. So,
[18:09]yeah. Let me make sure I got, you know,
[18:12]I'm not even looking at my camera here.
[18:16]A little
[18:19]puppies. Bend this down cuz there's
[18:21]people all over at the start. Careful,
[18:23]buddy.
[18:25]Be careful with that lake of yours.
[18:32]Um, this feels very
[18:34]rocky. Where's the beach
[18:36]at? Wait a minute. Is this high tide?
[18:42]I don't think so because yesterday it
[18:45]did not look like this, John.
[18:48]Yesterday the ocean was out further.
[18:53]Right now, let me pause. There's a lot
[18:55]of people around. Okay. Well, we didn't
[18:57]pick the perfect time because it feels
[18:59]like the ocean is,
[19:03]you know, I see them. I don't
[19:07]care. Don't care.
[19:10]Whoa, here comes the ocean. Ocean, I
[19:14]love
[19:14]you. Oh, man. And you're going to tell
[19:17]me this ain't high tide. We're checking
[19:18]the app, John.
[19:21]It's damn close. You're up on the rocks,
[19:25]man. I can't trace the waves like
[19:28]this. We came at the wrong time. It's
[19:31]hours before we can be out
[19:35]here. I don't want to just sit still.
[19:39]Oh my god, this is the worst time to be
[19:42]here, John.
[19:48]I'm going to check my app. Can't trace
[19:51]the wave till later. It's literally not
[19:53]possible right now. I guess I'll look at
[19:56]it for a while. I mean, there's a small
[19:58]stretch of land up there. I might go
[20:00]check it
[20:01]out, but this isn't how I experience the
[20:04]ocean.
[20:06]So, you know, this is on me. I don't
[20:09]ever check the
[20:10]app. Be careful, man. This
[20:13]is That's how about over there where the
[20:16]sand is at. That's all wrong. Well, you
[20:19]know, that's what I mean. I can't walk
[20:21]to this. Okay.
[20:25]Sorry, we just came at the wrong time.
[20:28]But I just want to get away from
[20:31]Yeah, I understand.
[20:33]Um,
[20:36]still she's out there. It's nice sign.
[20:40]But, you know, if the if the um the tide
[20:43]is like this now, it's probably a couple
[20:45]hours before it calms
[20:48]down. I can't trace this. So, that kind
[20:52]of defeats what I had
[20:53]planned. But, I I might still try. I
[20:56]might walk down there. There's a little
[20:58]bit of Let me check the app actually
[20:59]because um if this isn't high tide that
[21:02]means it's going to come up even
[21:04]higher. So yeah, I don't want to get
[21:06]stuck out there. I'm going to check the
[21:07]app. Say bye
[21:10]darn the house and filled in the car
[21:13]park with the water where their cars
[21:15]were. It was just couldn't believe it.
[21:18]Now that house is gone burned down in
[21:20]those Oh yeah, you told me about that
[21:21]one. So sad. No, it wasn't my house.
[21:24]It's just sad to think. Is that the one
[21:26]where you were house boy? Yeah. Yep.
[21:29]Okay. Yep. I was
[21:34]I love that story, John. Yeah.
[21:37]I was never a house boy. I bet I could
[21:39]have been one, though. Yeah.
[21:42]I was such a twink back then. Total
[21:45][ __ ] twink. I was like 130 lb. I'll
[21:48]show you some pictures someday. Yeah, I
[21:50]was 150, but
[21:53]Okay. Well, still. Yeah.
[21:55]I mean, I guess technically I kind of am
[21:57]out cuz I'm 150 lbs again. Yeah. But
[22:01]very much
[22:02]older, though. Very athletic. So, you
[22:05]know, I was very toned and that's what
[22:07]he liked. Okay. I just wish I would have
[22:10]He would, you know, he very rarely came
[22:12]out of the house. Yeah. So, I enjoyed
[22:14]when he
[22:15]did very attractive man and a lot of fun
[22:18]if
[22:19]they waiting for these waves to come
[22:22]back in under the rocks.
[22:27]It's so cool to look out there and just
[22:29]see it building up. Like it's just it's
[22:32]ferocious. Well, way out there where
[22:34]those waves are getting really big and
[22:35]breaking, that's because there's rocks
[22:37]out there under the water. Okay. There's
[22:39]a reef. That's what causes it to go up
[22:41]and break. Do you ever get to see that
[22:43]any time of year or like you were
[22:46]saying, the beach changes in different
[22:48]seasons? Mhm. I know there's negative
[22:50]tides, but it probably doesn't go out
[22:51]that far.
[22:55]You know what a negative tide is, right?
[22:56]Yeah. Okay. No, but yeah, it's just it's
[22:59]when the beach, you know, when the ocean
[23:01]pulls back and you can see underneath
[23:02]it. Yeah.
[23:05]It's all part of the king tide. They
[23:07]call it king tide up here. Oh, they
[23:09]refer to it as king tide because it gets
[23:11]really high, but people don't a lot of
[23:14]people don't realize it also means it
[23:16]gets the very lowest as well. I didn't
[23:18]know that. So that Okay, cuz I saw the
[23:20]negative tide when it was around king
[23:21]tie time. So, so it's only Okay. It's
[23:24]not all year round then. No, when we
[23:26]have a king tide, we have a negative
[23:28]tide. Okay, cool. I didn't know that. I
[23:30]love learning this stuff. That pictures
[23:32]the pictures I took of the those waves
[23:35]shooting rocks. Yeah. Those rocks I was
[23:38]on never they're they're always
[23:40]underwater. Still a negative. Oh man.
[23:44]So, there's so much to experience still.
[23:46]Yeah. Slippery though because it's all
[23:48]things that you don't even expect to
[23:50]see. Algae. Yeah. But it's beautiful to
[23:53]go out, but I had to be really careful
[23:56]that I didn't trip. But it was worth
[23:58]going
[24:02]out. I love the way the waves
[24:06]just come in all different directions
[24:08]and then they're intersect with each
[24:10]other and all these patterns it makes.
[24:13]My mind just goes crazy over this stuff
[24:15]just looking at it.
[24:17]It's just fascinating when it does that.
[24:19]when the um I don't know how to describe
[24:21]this, but the wave doesn't really come
[24:23]in, but it's like um um churning. It's
[24:26]churning. That is so cool. I mean, look
[24:30]at this. This is literally the sea shell
[24:32]of something that's probably a million
[24:33]or 3 4 million years old. Yeah, that's
[24:36]what fascinates me. These are all broken
[24:38]seashells. So, this was sediment on the
[24:41]bottom of the ocean. All you Yeah, we
[24:44]clearly see the shells. Yeah, that one
[24:45]you can, but it's very tiny. So, this
[24:48]just
[24:49]formed turned into a rock and now it's
[24:52]it's smoothed out from the ocean. But I
[24:54]just fascinates me to so like you know I
[24:58]find it interesting. It just doesn't
[24:59]capture my attention I guess cuz the
[25:02]longer I do find it interesting. The
[25:03]longer they're in rock. Yeah. Under
[25:06]under rock that's when the shell turns
[25:08]to rock or stone. Right now these are
[25:11]actual sea shells still even though it
[25:12]might be several million years old
[25:14]they're still the calcium is still in
[25:16]them. Okay. This is just showing how
[25:19]many were on this section of It hasn't
[25:21]petrified yet. Is that what you're
[25:22]saying? No. Yeah. Okay. These it'll
[25:24]never petrify because this bro broke
[25:27]off. This was still on underneath a
[25:30]bunch of other rocks. Then it will
[25:31]petrify. Okay. So, yeah, these are very
[25:34]what they're called very young rocks.
[25:35]Got some kids playing with crates over
[25:38]here. You know, I did that as a kid.
[25:41]They always make them rainbow colored. I
[25:43]turn them into rainbows. It's kind of
[25:45]funny.
[25:49]And that's the beauty of Hawaii. Rainbow
[25:51]is a symbol.
[25:55]Really? Yep. You don't buy anything with
[25:58]a rainbow on it cuz it's in there. It's
[25:59]a state symbol. I mean, we got clouds
[26:02]out there, but I looked at the weather
[26:04]report. We should have a good day the
[26:05]whole time. Yeah.
[26:08]Oh, it's already a better day than
[26:09]yesterday. Yeah, it is.
[26:12]It looks pretty. These clouds do.
[26:18]You know what I think I want to do one
[26:20]day? I want to take a a ship across the
[26:23]ocean. Best one
[26:26]to Hawaii, maybe? Hawaii. Okay. There's
[26:28]only one ship that goes from Southern
[26:31]California to Hawaii. A friend of mine
[26:33]goes on it every year. She just got back
[26:35]from it about Do you know what it's
[26:37]called? It's one of the Princess
[26:38]cruises. Okay. Okay. I can Google that.
[26:41]It's a 10-day cruise because 10 days.
[26:43]Okay. takes three days there and back or
[26:45]just Well, yeah. You leave San Pedro,
[26:48]you're at sea for three days, then it
[26:51]cruises around the islands. So, you
[26:53]goshore on three islands. Yeah, three
[26:56]islands. Okay. And then 3 days back. So,
[26:58]it's a total of a 10-day cruise. I can't
[27:01]wait to go on. I really want to go on.
[27:03]It's not cheap, but you can get a room
[27:06]with just a port window, which is fine
[27:08]cuz I ain't going to stay in my room.
[27:10]Yeah. I I go on deck. I go Absolutely.
[27:13]But well, if things work out, you know,
[27:15]and I do start making good money again,
[27:17]you and I are definitely doing that.
[27:18]Yeah, it's an experience.
[27:21]I don't want to go out on deck at night,
[27:22]just look at the stars. There's nothing
[27:25]I I took three cruises and I went on
[27:29]one. The first one I went on was out
[27:32]when I got
[27:33]offshore, there was 1,600 people on the
[27:36]ship and there were probably four people
[27:39]on deck at night. And you sat in the
[27:42]lounger and the sky was glowing with
[27:45]stars in the Milky Way. Yeah. Shooting
[27:48]the star. It you could see the planets
[27:50]with your own bare eyes. The satellites
[27:52]now. Yeah. Satellites going by.
[27:56]When I went on the one that went along
[27:58]with the color. Wow. That was really
[28:00]turnurning. Like that was Yeah. Well, it
[28:02]turns because this wave is coming in and
[28:05]then one forward is coming down. Oh,
[28:07]okay. Okay. I wonder why it did this.
[28:09]Okay. I knew it had something to do with
[28:11]more than one way, but I didn't figure
[28:13]that part out. If you didn't grow up at
[28:14]the beach, you probably may or may not
[28:16]have heard of rip tides. I mean, I don't
[28:18]need the words. I don't know what it
[28:20]means. What a what that's what a riptide
[28:22]is is the shape of the beach causes a
[28:26]all these waves are coming in underneath
[28:28]these waves are water going out. Okay.
[28:31]Oh, that's awesome. It Well, not if
[28:33]you're in it. Well, it's still awesome.
[28:35]It'll pull you out to
[28:36]see the ground. Okay. Cuz there's
[28:38]nothing you you have to know to swim
[28:42]side to side. If you try to swim towards
[28:45]the beach, that makes sense. Nothing
[28:46]would ever happen. That makes sense.
[28:48]You're just slowly curving yourself
[28:49]almost like a body of um you know, like
[28:51]a celestial object. Yeah. So if you were
[28:54]ever in the ocean, okay, I'll do that. I
[28:57]understand. Pulling you out. Swim one
[29:00]side or the other. Yeah, I get it. And
[29:01]you'll feel the change like a curve.
[29:03]Yeah. It's a
[29:05]strong South Jetty Beach where we were
[29:07]at, you probably wouldn't have noticed
[29:09]it, but there were waves coming in
[29:10]different angles. That's because of the
[29:12]currents under Oh, yeah. I noticed I
[29:13]noticed that strong riptides. I just
[29:15]don't understand um the physics behind
[29:19]it all yet. And the steeper the the
[29:22]beach is, the stronger the current going
[29:25]out. If it's real shallow going out, it
[29:28]gets doesn't get very interesting. All
[29:31]then you have a is it because it builds
[29:33]up velocity or something or okay force
[29:35]of physics. Okay. And like I said water
[29:38]passes under the in heavy waves. Then
[29:41]you have um a side current. So you could
[29:44]go in the water here and an hour later
[29:47]you're way down there if you're not
[29:48]paying attention. I think I'm
[29:52]detected. Got to say hi to this man.
[29:54]Okay. I'm going to pause this though cuz
[29:56]I don't want to put my camera.
[29:59]Well, I'll just move it down.
[30:04]here. So, there's a lot that goes on at
[30:06]the beach.
[30:17]Hello. Oh, I hope he's careful out
[30:19]there, you know, cuz it is high
[30:21]tide. Well, we can't worry about
[30:23]everybody, right? He can't do that. He's
[30:25]a sovereign being. That's his own
[30:27]choices.
[30:35]So, a lot of skipping stones on this
[30:39]beach. My shoulder's hurting too much
[30:41]for me to do it.
[30:46]But, man, it's really rushing in. I love
[30:49]that. That's my favorite when it does
[30:51]that. And then they have to run if
[30:52]you're tracing the waves, you know, cuz
[30:54]like, oh, I didn't expect that. The
[30:56]waves come in patterns, right? Well,
[30:58]yeah, but they're, you know, seven every
[31:00]seventh wave is the biggest wave. What?
[31:03]Are you sure? Count them. Swear to God.
[31:05]Are you sure? Surfer. Trust me, I was a
[31:07]server. You Well, I got to check on
[31:09]that. Okay. When you see servers sitting
[31:10]out, I need to confirm that. All right.
[31:12]When you see servers sitting out there
[31:13]on their boards, it's always wave goes
[31:15]over. Wave. Yes. The wave goes over.
[31:17]Wave goes over. All of a sudden, you're
[31:19]going to see them all get the board
[31:20]because they're counting the waves. No
[31:23]way. I I never even thought to count
[31:25]them. It has to do with the tide coming
[31:27]in. That's all it is. It has it's a tide
[31:31]pattern. No matter what time of year or
[31:33]time of day or doesn't matter all all
[31:35]day, all all year long. Oh my god. So
[31:38]there's just sacred geometry in that
[31:40]over here. You can actually see see that
[31:42]white water way out there. See the rocks
[31:44]showing right now? No rocks? No. Way out
[31:48]there. The furthest white water you can
[31:49]see out there. I don't way out there.
[31:52]All the white disappeared. There it is
[31:53]again. See the black
[31:56]I can see it in the camera. I can't see
[31:57]it in my with my eyes.
[32:00][Music]
[32:02]Oh, I see it way out there. Yeah, way
[32:04]out there. That's a reef that goes Oh,
[32:06]okay. I see it now. Connects all the way
[32:08]on the beach where the white where the
[32:09]white water is, right? Okay. It's cuz
[32:11]it's literally a reef. Yeah. Yeah.
[32:14]See, when you're in Hawaii, you can
[32:16]actually swim out to the reefs and watch
[32:17]the big sharks swimming along on the
[32:19]other side of the reef. It's so cool.
[32:25]I can snorkel for hours. Do you know if
[32:27]I can walk down to that lighthouse? Not
[32:29]now, but No, I didn't. I'll check them
[32:32]out. Okay. Literally, this is the first
[32:33]time I've been on this beach. Okay. I
[32:36]drove on the highway. Yeah. I came to
[32:38]visit my friend. Uhhuh. So, that's all
[32:41]I've ever done. When I came here and I
[32:43]scouted it, I walked down that beach
[32:44]probably two or three miles. Yeah. And
[32:46]then came back and it was the sunniest,
[32:48]warmest day. It was perfect weather.
[32:50]Yeah. I defin you can go a distance but
[32:52]not too far because I mean I think you
[32:56]might be able to at least it looked like
[32:57]it on guy GPS. This will all end here
[32:59]just up there and straight down. There's
[33:01]no way you there. Yeah, over there it
[33:03]doesn't. And that I'd say the same thing
[33:05]down there cuz it's it gets real skinny
[33:06]at a certain spot but then it looked
[33:08]like you could get around it but I need
[33:10]to check low tide. Okay. Okay, that
[33:12]makes sense. Yeah, cuz if there's a lot
[33:15]of rock, it doesn't it never gets a sand
[33:17]beach or a negative tide, but that's
[33:20]only one time a year. Now, I know more
[33:22]than once. Well, you know, a couple
[33:23]times, but still the same time of year.
[33:25]December, January, that kind of thing. I
[33:27]understand that.
[33:29]Um, yeah, most people don't know that
[33:31]though. I get it. Thanks for telling me.
[33:33]Oh, yeah. They think there's only one
[33:34]king, but there is. Moon alignment.
[33:37]Yeah. Closest the moon is to alignment.
[33:41]Yeah. when you Oh, so that's a cool guy.
[33:45]Seagull.
[33:47]Yeah. Yeah. Literally look like a
[33:49]seagull.
[33:51]You know, I think about this ocean is
[33:53]the engine of the earth cuz it just
[33:56]Oh, you can't. Oh, there's pelicans out
[33:58]there. There's three of them. I know.
[34:01]Yeah, I see them. I see them. I love
[34:04]That's nice. I don't know. Let me try to
[34:06]zoom in. I don't know if I can.
[34:08]I think they just got his face.
[34:11]Yeah, I can't see him on my camera, but
[34:12]they might be on there sometimes. Oh, I
[34:14]zoomed in. It zoomed in. Yeah, they're
[34:16]staying real low to the water.
[34:22]Well, that storm front's moving this
[34:23]way, tell you. Yeah, it is. It's coming
[34:26]in. Oh, it's spreading, too. It just
[34:28]covered the whole sky. Yeah, it wasn't
[34:29]like that a couple minutes ago. I love
[34:32]that. God, I love that. Oh, okay. God, I
[34:34]love that. There's two layers. Look
[34:36]straight up. Look at the direction the
[34:38]clouds going that way. They're going at
[34:40]an angle now. Wait, you're right.
[34:45]Oh, I can barely look at that. That's
[34:46]why the clouds suddenly came over
[34:48]because it's they're not coming this
[34:49]way. Shifting that. It's amazing and all
[34:52]that.
[34:54]You don't really want to mess with that
[34:56]foam. It's a bacteria bacteria.
[35:00]It can't hurt. It doesn't really hurt
[35:02]you, but it kills fish. And it could
[35:05]make an animal very sick like a dog.
[35:08]People let their dogs just bite it cuz
[35:10]the dogs want to chase it.
[35:12]It is. And warmer time of the year when
[35:16]the water gets a little warmer. It gets
[35:18]it can get Well, you know, the ocean's a
[35:20]mix of everything. And I I already knew
[35:22]that. So I'm not It get about this thick
[35:25]and dark brown. It's Oh, yeah. And then
[35:28]big huge monster. Oh, that was so
[35:30]awesome. So awesome. So those little
[35:32]ones right there, just a vision. Wait a
[35:34]minute. I'm going to start counting.
[35:35]Maybe that was number seven. I haven't
[35:37]been paying attention. So I don't know
[35:40]how to count these. So they don't
[35:41]exactly come in as just one weight. You
[35:43]would you count all those little ones as
[35:45]one? Well, you have to you have to look
[35:47]a little beyond because when they get
[35:49]close, they're breaking out. Oh, yeah.
[35:50]Yeah. Okay. Just a little beyond is
[35:52]where you start counting. Awesome. I
[35:54]love this wisdom. Yeah. is what happen
[35:57]is that tide going out makes a wave form
[36:00]when it's not really an incoming wave.
[36:02]So yeah, it's the wind driven incoming
[36:04]tide and wind driven. So yeah, just a
[36:06]little further out there. Okay, makes
[36:08]sense.
[36:12]So what makes it cause these waves
[36:14]though like out there? Because there
[36:15]isn't these wse waves are too. Oh man,
[36:19]that's amazing. Most waves are caused by
[36:22]the wind. Okay. And even if it wasn't
[36:24]windy right now, if the waves are coming
[36:26]from something 300 miles away, currents,
[36:29]currents under the water, maybe. Well,
[36:31]currents will cause the waves to get a
[36:33]little bigger. Okay, but
[36:35]basically the two things that create the
[36:37]waves are wind and coming tides. Okay,
[36:43]you got water being pushed across the
[36:45]globe. Oh, that man walking way down
[36:46]there.
[36:48]He's like me and have that leather
[36:51]jacket.
[36:53]I mean, literally, these waves here were
[36:55]probably formed a thousand miles out to
[36:59]sea. That's what fascinates me about
[37:01]waves. They literally, and that's why I
[37:04]told you those glass balls from Japan
[37:07]are so coveted because, let's face it,
[37:08]they pull up on this beach, they shatter
[37:11]when they come up on the beach. So, to
[37:13]actually find them that make it to the
[37:15]our shore is hard to find. And it's only
[37:19]on the sandy beaches and only after a
[37:23]storm. And that's when all the what they
[37:25]call the beachers all head out right
[37:27]after a
[37:29]storm. I don't want to experience as
[37:31]much as why I came while I'm here, you
[37:33]know. But I'll still be like, you know,
[37:35]national forest, they're going to be I
[37:37]got to look them up. I don't know. Yeah,
[37:39]I assume you'll find on the Oregon
[37:42]coast. Not many inland. You'll find more
[37:45]of the national bars. I got to be near
[37:48]the ocean though. Yeah.
[37:52]Half of the new camp hosts today have
[37:54]never been to the beach. They've lived
[37:56]Wow. Really? In interior Oregon. They've
[37:58]never been They all live along the Le
[38:01]Pine and all those places in the high
[38:03]desert. Well, they're in for a treat.
[38:05]Oh, yeah. They were They just have That
[38:07]couple I was talking to telling where
[38:08]the laundry room was. Yeah. They came
[38:11]from
[38:12]um Lone Pine. I know. Line. Okay. I've
[38:16]heard of that one. Everybody seems to
[38:17]mention that one. High desert. It's
[38:19]beautiful. It's on the edge of desert
[38:21]plateau and mountains. Maybe I'll try to
[38:24]visit that one when I'm heading back to
[38:26]Kentucky if it can figure out if it's on
[38:28]the road. In the summer, it'll be a
[38:29]warmer time to be there, which is great.
[38:32]That's okay. I am, you know, I'm from a
[38:34]a climate that's very hot. Yeah, I have
[38:37]gotten used to not going to be humid
[38:39]like when it's hot. That's what's nice.
[38:42]It is a dry air.
[38:44]So, we're definitely getting close to
[38:45]high tide. Maybe another 30 minutes.
[38:47]Lady just got a She was sitting flying
[38:51]the kite. She didn't expect that. Okay.
[38:55]Well, do the ocean just said hello to
[38:56]you.
[39:01]Look at those bright orange shoes. I
[39:04]know. They look like those things you
[39:05]wear. Gloss or what do they call those
[39:07]things? Slip on things. You were wearing
[39:10]black ones. Oh, I'm like, what are you
[39:13]talking about? Mine I definitely don't
[39:14]have any. Yeah. Crocs. Crocs.
[39:18]Crocs. Crocs. Yeah. Those are just so I
[39:21]can get in and out of my RV without
[39:22]having to
[39:24]cuz my floor is always dirty cuz I don't
[39:26]take my shoes off.
[39:29]That's why I take my shoes off. I know.
[39:31]I wish I did. Like I keep trying to
[39:33]convince myself. Every home I've ever
[39:35]had, I've done that. Shifting. If it's
[39:37]cold floor, I shift into those slippers.
[39:39]And you let me walk into your place
[39:40]without doing that. I told you that I
[39:42]would take my shoes off. Now I'm going
[39:44]to That's your choice. I'm going to
[39:47]Don't force people to do that kind of
[39:48]stuff. I'm sorry. I I asked and you were
[39:50]like, "It's okay. Just walk on." Okay.
[39:52]Well, now I know. I didn't know till
[39:55]now. Now I know. Growing up, we live,
[39:58]you know, had a community where some of
[40:00]the places we lived in Orange
[40:02]County. I'm just going to turn this.
[40:05]There were several Japanese families and
[40:06]they all took the shoes off. So my
[40:08]parents got in the habit of doing it
[40:09]because we were four kids. They kept the
[40:11]house clean. Yeah. Okay. He's not coming
[40:14]over again. And I as soon as I get home,
[40:17]my shoes come off. If it's warmer, my
[40:19]socks, everything comes
[40:21]off. This time of year, I just put my
[40:24]slippers
[40:27]on. Yeah. Look at that. I like the
[40:31]seagull. It looks nice. It does look
[40:34]like a seagull. Wow.
[40:36]Where is it? Wonder how many seagulls
[40:39]have come running come flying over to
[40:43]it. Really
[40:45]cool. Where is There it is. It looks
[40:49]just like one. Well, your first glance
[40:50]you sele
[40:54]Okay, I got it on camera. A lot of rain
[40:57]out there. Look, you can see it. Oh,
[40:58]yeah. I love that. Rain there. And you
[41:00]mentioned that to me. That's how I
[41:01]learned that's what that is. I didn't
[41:03]know that. It's over here. Um
[41:07]You know, I didn't know that's what that
[41:09]was. I do now. So, you that's comes
[41:13]that's part of learning when you're
[41:15]sailing. You learn what to avoid if you
[41:18]know what's coming.
[41:20]Yeah. That would tell you right there.
[41:21]It's a heavy downpour and dark as that
[41:24]is. How far would you say I were able to
[41:26]see like in miles?
[41:29]Uh horizon's probably a good 20 30 miles
[41:32]out there. Maybe 40. It's hard to tell
[41:35]from here. I'd say probably.
[41:38]Man, I love this ocean. 30 to 40 m.
[41:46]What's really cool is if you get a
[41:48]lightning storm, but we don't get those
[41:50]until summer. Yeah, I haven't seen
[41:52]anything like that. Out on the water.
[41:53]Oh, so cool. Oh my god, I would love
[41:56]that. Yeah, so cool.
[41:59]I thought I was chasing storms this
[42:01]winter, but that sounds way better. Go
[42:04]to Florida in the summer. go nuts. Yeah,
[42:07]I don't like Florida. Yeah, I want to be
[42:09]here. Also, it's the wrong ocean.
[42:12]Technically, it's the same ocean, but um
[42:14]it's different. Yeah, technically it is
[42:16]the same ocean. We only have one ocean.
[42:18]No. Yes, it's one body of water. This is
[42:21]the Pacific Ocean. I know. That's what
[42:22]they tell us. The Atlantic. Yeah, but
[42:24]it's the same ocean. There's no dividing
[42:26]line. There's no true dividing line.
[42:28]Curves to keep the water separate. It's
[42:30]the same water though. Water. It's one
[42:32]body of water. We can disagree on this
[42:34]one. It's okay. The Earth is covered
[42:37]with water, but the reason there's
[42:39]different ocean names is because there's
[42:42]currents that keep the water in. Well,
[42:44]historical
[42:46]reasons. Um, but it's okay. We can
[42:48]disagree on this one. It's called
[42:49]physics. Okay. I don't agree with this.
[42:51]It's okay, though.
[42:58]It's really getting beautiful the way
[43:00]the water's starting to come off the
[43:02]sand.
[43:14]You know what? And the 101's right
[43:16]behind
[43:19]us. The 101's right behind us. Just, you
[43:23]know, carving the coast, hugging the
[43:26]coast.
[43:32]Don't get mad. My foot's No, my foot.
[43:35]Okay. You just got so quiet after that.
[43:37]It's like I just view it differently,
[43:38]you know? Okay. Oh, I'm sorry. You
[43:41]feeling okay? It's
[43:44]We can go whenever you want to. Okay.
[43:46]Not happy, right? But look how big it is
[43:47]compared to this one. Oh, yeah. I can
[43:49]tell. You're right. It's really swollen
[43:51]up. Well, it's happening. It's cutting
[43:53]off my circulation. My leg's going numb.
[43:56]I won't have a choice but to leave it
[43:58]pretty soon. Okay. Yeah, cuz you know
[44:00]it's high tide. There's, you know, Oh,
[44:02]it's coming in. It's going to be wobbly.
[44:05]So, I can It's going to take hours
[44:07]before I can come out here. So, I'm
[44:09]definitely going to do that today. As
[44:11]long as it don't start raining. Yeah.
[44:12]Well, now you know that don't cross that
[44:16]bridge. Stay on the other side of that
[44:17]bridge. Yeah. Don't follow.
[44:20]Well, that's too short of a path,
[44:22]though. I want to be over here. No, you
[44:24]that piece goes quite goes around. Yeah,
[44:26]but not far enough for me.
[44:29]I want to go that way. I want to go see
[44:30]if I can get to the lighthouse.
[44:33]Yeah, it's a low tide. You should be
[44:34]able to get quite a ways to see how far
[44:36]down he is. Man, he really did go down
[44:38]there. I like this
[44:41]man. But I don't know. There's somebody
[44:43]next to him, so I don't know if it's the
[44:45]same person. I don't see another person.
[44:48]I'm almost sure of it. It's only one
[44:50]person. It's still him.
[44:53]Hold on. You know what? You're right.
[44:56]Why am I seeing double? Why the [ __ ] am
[44:57]I seeing double?
[45:00]My left eye was showing double. Oh my
[45:02]god.
[45:05]Yeah, that's one person. All right. Oh
[45:06]my god. It might be my contact. Well,
[45:09]I'm not wearing contacts. Oh, okay.
[45:11]That's weird.
[45:13]Holy crap. If I just look through my
[45:15]left eye, I see a second person there.
[45:18]Wow. It's like a shadow. Yeah. We were
[45:20]lucky. Our family genetically was
[45:22]blessed with perfect eyesight. That is
[45:24]wild.
[45:27]Wow. Oh my god. That is wild.
[45:31]I have 100% depth per reception. And I
[45:35]can shoot I can shoot uh Oh yeah. You
[45:38]know squirrel at 300 yards. Yeah. You
[45:40]know, only one eye does that does depth
[45:42]perception. I don't remember which one,
[45:43]but I learned this because of a a
[45:45]journalist who lost one of her eyes and
[45:46]she lost that ability. So, I don't know.
[45:49]Maybe that's a, you know, maybe that's
[45:51]why one of my eyes can see it and one
[45:53]can't.
[45:57]No, any time I was learning to shoot a
[46:00]rifle when I was very young. I get too
[46:03]on the voice guns. I can I can shoot
[46:06]just anything I aim at. It may take me
[46:09]two shots because I have to adjust for
[46:11]distance and wind. I could have been a
[46:13]sniper. Listen to you. It's the only
[46:16]thing my dad I say he was proud of, but
[46:19]he never told me he was proud of me. He
[46:22]was he raged his when he was a cop for a
[46:26]while every you know we'd go to the
[46:28]shooting range they have to practice so
[46:32]they brought their sons along and then
[46:35]we had to compete with each other and I
[46:37]beat everybody I could be I could shoot
[46:40]a clay pigeon every time and then no how
[46:44]far back you put me I could shoot a
[46:46]target dead on that's the only got a
[46:49]helicopter Yep.
[46:54]So, what are they doing?
[47:02]You think they can see us clearly? Yeah.
[47:04]Can they see me recording
[47:07]now? Seems to find a bit.
[47:12]Cool,
[47:13]man. I like the cars. Usually, you know
[47:17]that one movie? I think it's one of my
[47:18]favorite movies where um is it I can't
[47:21]remember what actor it is. Might be
[47:22]Robert Patson, but he goes out to um out
[47:25]to sea to try to save some a boat oil
[47:27]tanker and he has to go past a um you
[47:32]told me about these things. It's really
[47:33]dangerous. Yeah. One of the bars. Oh,
[47:35]that's Hatter's bar
[47:38]probably moving. Yeah, there's a big bar
[47:41]out. And then there's a point where um
[47:44]they're trying to get back and there's
[47:45]no light so all the cars line up and
[47:47]they just put their headlights on. It's
[47:49]a true story. Yeah, it's a really good
[47:52]story. I can't remember the name of it.
[47:54]It's not that old. It's only like maybe
[47:55]10 years old. Y can be pretty scary at
[47:57]night, but I used to do it. I had a
[47:59]small little The finest hours. Yeah,
[48:02]that little SBO you saw me a picture
[48:04]where I was sitting my legs just stretch
[48:06]out. That little tiny SO. I used to go
[48:08]out to sea in that thing with a friend.
[48:10]We go all the way up to Malibu and turn
[48:12]around, come back, and we spend about an
[48:14]hour to two hours in the total dark.
[48:17]Just flashlights.
[48:21]You know, I don't normally just sit here
[48:22]and watch the ocean. Yeah, I know. You
[48:23]never sit still in the sun. Never. It is
[48:26]a different experience.
[48:29]Well, it's engaging your brain, so
[48:31]you're still getting the same benefit.
[48:33]There's still movement. It's called AR
[48:35]would call it movements.
[48:37]Um, but yeah, I don't just sit here.
[48:40]This is But yeah, I'm just saying that
[48:42]because everybody else sits down
[48:43]watching the ocean and when I did that,
[48:45]I was like so bored. So bored. It wasn't
[48:48]until I started tracing the waves that I
[48:50]caught
[48:51]m. But you know, it's nice when you have
[48:53]a friend with you. I look out there, all
[48:56]of a sudden it's almost flat. Okay, so
[48:58]the next big wave count is number one.
[49:01]Okay, I'm going to count them. So that's
[49:04]number one out there. It's just forming
[49:07]and starting to break way up there. That
[49:09]would be number one.
[49:12]That's a lot of counting. Yeah, it it
[49:14]takes a lot of concentration. It really
[49:16]does. Really pay attention to the waves.
[49:24]Not sure if you ask AI, is it true every
[49:30]now? weather AI tells you. I grew up
[49:32]surfing. Yeah. I don't care what your AI
[49:35]tells you, but I'm sure it's smart
[49:36]enough to know that.
[49:39]Surfers don't know it. Yeah. And that's
[49:41]cuz we were on the water literally all
[49:43]day long. I think it's coming back.
[49:48]You're going to get caught in high tide,
[49:49]man. No, but I literally spend all day
[49:53]at the beach. Yeah. either out on the
[49:56]surfboard surfing or coming in sitting
[49:58]on the beach for a little bit, rest,
[50:01]have lunch, go back
[50:05]out. It's the start of life on our
[50:09]It's a wonderful light. Yep. Before
[50:11]before someone came out with these those
[50:14]hooks that you put on your bike.
[50:15]Initially, we had we carried our
[50:17]surfboard in our arm.
[50:19]I don't know how we used to do that cuz
[50:21]our boards were bigger back then
[50:24]and we didn't wear wet suits. Those
[50:26]didn't start wet suits didn't really
[50:28]start until the
[50:31]70s. We can have back in a lot. Yeah.
[50:34]Okay.
[50:37]Oh, my thigh hurts for some reason. I
[50:39]don't know why. Wait till you get up.
[50:42]If you need to use me for support, I'm
[50:44]right here.
