[0:03]rainbow so I'm just sitting around the

[0:06]lake here got a view right there I'm on

[0:09]a trail called the eel Lake Trail I

[0:11]think it's also called the North Trail I

[0:15]didn't know about this one until last

[0:16]night it was in my binder I got from

[0:18]orientation the other Trail is only a

[0:21]mile and it's flooded you can't get to

[0:23]it right now I tried

[0:24]yesterday well I learned about this one

[0:26]so I found it and I did a whole bunch of

[0:28]exploring

[0:30]there's a whole bunch

[0:32]of different ways to get to it you can

[0:34]get to it through the Hiker Biker Camp

[0:36]behind a one of the camp sites a couple

[0:39]of ways from the dump station I'm not

[0:43]even sure what the official way is but

[0:46]you know I actually do you get there

[0:48]from the day you are that's how I

[0:50]started but I just followed all the

[0:51]trails that I could

[0:53]find and I recorded that on Guy GPS I

[0:57]hiked that all the way to the end to the

[0:59]boundary of the park and the trail keeps

[1:01]going I could have kept

[1:03]going see how far it goes I'll probably

[1:06]do that one day but it was not enjoyable

[1:09]after a while because there's these

[1:11]little tiny lizards everywhere I didn't

[1:13]notice for the first mile and a half I

[1:14]didn't even notice them but they're just

[1:17]they blend right into the

[1:19]ground and there's a bunch of them and

[1:21]it's like you got to slow way

[1:24]down and pay super close attention or

[1:27]you're going to step on one and I don't

[1:29]want to do that so so it broke my flow

[1:32]my immersion cuz I couldn't go at my

[1:34]natural hiking speed and you know I had

[1:37]to just look down the whole time it's

[1:39]not really how I hike it's not how how I

[1:41]commune with nature but it was the only

[1:44]way to make sure I didn't hurt these

[1:45]little guys um they did tell us about

[1:48]them at orientation they're uh they're

[1:52]poisonous um which isn't a problem

[1:54]unless you eat

[1:56]them because they're not there's

[1:58]poisonous versus

[2:00]tox I'm not sure what the other word is

[2:03]but you know

[2:04]toxic they're not toxic they're just

[2:09]poisonous they look like Little Dragons

[2:13]cute so I probably won't use this Trail

[2:16]much I thought I found the perfect Trail

[2:17]for while I'm here but um it wasn't an

[2:21]enjoyable experience for

[2:24]me so I have to find a different Trail

[2:27]but at least I know about this one now

[2:28]and I'm sure they're not here like year

[2:30]round I'll find out actually but um

[2:33]maybe they're out at certain times of

[2:34]the day or just certain Seasons you

[2:39]know so I'll find that out cuz I would

[2:43]like to explore this more I think the

[2:44]trail just keeps going on and um just

[2:48]keeps going around the lake probably

[2:50]doesn't circle around the whole thing

[2:53]because I know that the other Trail it

[2:56]just kind of stopped at a certain spot

[2:57]and there you could just tell there was

[2:59]there's no going further than

[3:03]that so I'm doing good just um tired

[3:06]today been tired lately it's cuz I'm not

[3:08]getting enough

[3:10]sleep my back hurts and that's cuz of my

[3:12]bad all a lot of my issues are all

[3:14]related to that

[3:17]so I don't know what to do about it

[3:19]though I it's not it's not an easy

[3:22]problem to fix cuz I got to tear out the

[3:24]cabinet and then expand the bed

[3:27]area yeah I don't have the skills for

[3:29]for

[3:31]that or the money to have someone else

[3:33]do it so it's just um something I have

[3:36]to live

[3:39]with I would like to try to get better

[3:42]sleep though cuz I could really use it I

[3:44]don't make it any better because I often

[3:46]have my laptop just sitting on my bed

[3:48]and was taking up half the bed and it's

[3:49]a tiny little thing to begin with

[3:52]so part of it's my fault I guess

[3:58]so it's a nice Friday

[4:01]afternoon I drove all the way to Port

[4:04]Orford got my package you know obviously

[4:07]I already uploaded that

[4:09]video spent a little bit of time at Cape

[4:19]nice I'm feeling pretty good about this

[4:32]issue at this point is am I going to be

[4:35]accepted here exactly who I am because

[4:39]I will not change for anybody so I just

[4:42]I'm expecting friction from

[4:47]that why if there isn't any then great

[4:50]that would be

[4:57]awesome I might try to get a job in Park

[5:01]know that's kind of where my head is

[5:03]this last past couple of days

[5:10]though it's a nice little

[5:17]lake so I'm pretty sure I'm going to

[5:20]hate it here cleaning Yurts that's not a

[5:23]thing that ever sounded fun to

[5:25]me and then I volunteered to deep clean

[5:28]them I don't think I shared on video the

[5:31]list that you have to do oh my God it is

[5:33]just it is just

[5:36]unbelievable it's a lot it's in two

[5:39]phases each phase has dozens of things

[5:42]you have to do and I volunteered for

[5:45]this because of course I did but I'm

[5:47]going to do it Sunday I'll have my

[5:50]training with my boss and things are

[5:52]going well with

[5:54]her

[5:55]and I'm just here for a month I think

[5:58]because I I discovered something I was

[6:01]talking to another

[6:03]volunteer and I mentioned that I wanted

[6:05]to check this park out that's a little

[6:07]bit north of here it's 20 miles away

[6:09]it's called um Honeyman State Park and I

[6:13]just thought it was a big park it made

[6:15]me think of Harris Beach State Park

[6:17]which is right on the coast in Brookings

[6:19]way at the very south of Oregon and I

[6:22]just thought maybe I kind of thought

[6:24]maybe they're

[6:25]similar um because I've kind of gotten a

[6:27]feel for what these different parks are

[6:29]like like this one here is very much

[6:31]like um Humbug Mountain

[6:34]and Cape Blanco it's kind of unique

[6:37]actually cap Blanco's unique but there's

[6:40]kind of like kind of just there's a

[6:43]different vibe to these places and I was

[6:45]thinking you know honeyman's probably a

[6:47]lot like Carris Beach and that's where

[6:48]my heart got woken up I've only was

[6:51]there for 3 days but

[6:54]um so anyways this guy tells me he's

[6:58]like

[7:00]they have ATV they have the dunes there

[7:02]there are Dunes there and he was saying

[7:05]how the host don't like it because if

[7:07]you get assigned to a certain host spot

[7:11]there it's very loud and there's a lot

[7:14]of chaos and there's um like CU people

[7:19]will be trying to go out onto the dunes

[7:20]at like night at 10 11 12 1 2 in the

[7:23]morning whatever and you know you got to

[7:25]deal with that

[7:27]and he didn't like the idea but he he he

[7:30]came to my side he was telling me this

[7:31]and he looked at my Jeep he looked at

[7:33]the tires he goes oh he realized I might

[7:36]like it I'm already lighting up as he's

[7:38]telling me about this and I learned I

[7:40]can take my Jeep out there I'm allowed

[7:42]to drive my Jeep on the dunes and all

[7:44]this other stuff so I go looking to see

[7:46]if there are any jobs there and there's

[7:48]one in February and you would be doing I

[7:52]would be doing the

[7:54]um this one's a nice one because you'll

[7:56]be working in the store and you would be

[8:00]just selling passes to the ATV and um

[8:04]you know whatever else is in the store

[8:06]and so you'd be socializing with the

[8:08]people that come there and this sounds

[8:10]like a rowdy crowd who I bet there's a

[8:13]lot of hot men I bet you anything there

[8:16]is and you you know you could just um

[8:19]that sounds way more fun right so I

[8:22]immediately emailed a guy who's

[8:23]responsible for he wrote me back and I'm

[8:25]going to have an interview with him on

[8:27]Monday and I was like you know what

[8:28]you're only 20 M away I can come right

[8:30]up there and we can beet in person so I

[8:33]think that's what I'm going to end up

[8:34]doing and so I'll be here for January

[8:38]and I will just drudge

[8:40]through the

[8:44]absolute hell of cleaning Yurts every

[8:47]day especially the deep cleaning

[8:49]ones and then in February I might have

[8:52]an actually pretty sweet job but it's

[8:54]only for that one month because they had

[8:56]already filled some of the other months

[8:58]so I asked them though do you have

[8:59]anything else for March and April

[9:01]hopefully not your cleaning

[9:03]because and I explained to him it's not

[9:06]so much the physical labor it's said I

[9:07]don't want to be indoors I like being

[9:09]outside and then just the socializing

[9:12]thing and all that so maybe he has

[9:14]something else maybe

[9:16]there's um you know the welcome reader

[9:18]person or just something else we'll find

[9:22]out um and I was thinking Honeyman that

[9:25]sounds like you know that's a big Park

[9:27]so they their Gates would actually work

[9:30]like they would actually have

[9:32]Gatekeepers like they do at Harris Beach
