[0:31]went up there and I was just in such a

[0:36]like I just really really wanted to ask

[0:38]this man out it just it was on my ear

[0:40]the whole time he didn't say a thing I

[0:42]got back and realized I mean that is so

[0:46]funny oh my God that was like a month

[0:51]ago he was so awesome and so kind he it

[0:56]was his last day of work cuz it was

[0:57]seasonal made perfect sense it was the

[1:00]last damn seasonal like change here in

[1:03]in

[1:04]Oregon

[1:07]and this man was just like bad timing he

[1:10]kept saying bad timing I watched him

[1:12]processing this in his head like he was

[1:14]wanting to say yes but just couldn't

[1:16]bring himself to do it for whatever

[1:18]reason I don't

[1:19]know and I'm just watching this play out

[1:23]and loving how how kind this man is

[1:27]being how cuz I was so nervous oh oh my

[1:30]God it was just it was just one of those

[1:33]it was

[1:35]just I don't know I don't know what it

[1:37]was but I decided to upgrade him from he

[1:41]seems awesome to you you really are

[1:44]awesome or something like that and then

[1:46]I laugh went about my

[1:49]life but I want to tell you

[1:52]um so yesterday I went

[1:55]to uh Cape Sebastian with a new friend

[1:58]that I made this week

[2:00]and he's in a clip that I made I'm going

[2:02]to attach to this video so I want to

[2:05]tell you the story how we met cuz it's

[2:06]pretty funny it's pretty amazing

[2:12]and yeah so I am at Cape Blanco which is

[2:17]just an amazing place I've been here

[2:20]many times already and under all kinds

[2:24]of circumstances oh in fact after I

[2:27]asked that guy out I came here this is

[2:29]what where I

[2:30]came

[2:32]and at the time I didn't know it but

[2:34]this place is the Western most edge of

[2:37]the continent um from the you know

[2:40]contiguous United States at least in

[2:42]Oregon maybe the whole country there's a

[2:44]bit of confusion about that between

[2:46]Oregon and California when I talked to

[2:47]AI about it I never really confirmed it

[2:50]so but it is the Western most Edge at

[2:52]least for the

[2:54]state most amazing

[2:57]place and I just came here

[3:00]after

[3:02]that I I guess to process it but I was

[3:05]fine you know I wasn't like I wasn't

[3:08]upset about it or anything I laughed

[3:10]about my ear like I

[3:14]just that's how I know how much I've

[3:17]grown old me 20 years ago would have

[3:20]been heartbroken and you know just all

[3:23]of that right Bailey leave me alone this

[3:26]skid never leaves me

[3:28]alone um um but anyway so I'm at Cape

[3:32]Blanco and the one place I hadn't been

[3:34]yet was the beach here um because we're

[3:37]up we're up hundreds of feet you know on

[3:40]this cliff and I'd been going to that

[3:43]spot my void Edge but I had gotten down

[3:46]to the beach and because I've developed

[3:49]this love affair with the ocean where

[3:50]I'm just wanting to trace its waves I

[3:53]wanted to do that here so I go down to

[3:56]the

[3:57]beach and the road is covered like you

[4:00]can actually drive out there I'm going

[4:01]to do that with my Jeep one day but you

[4:03]can't right now cuz there's this there's

[4:04]Driftwood everywhere you just can't

[4:06]drive out there and I get down to there

[4:09]and I'm just looking out at the ocean

[4:11]and like trying to imagine what am I

[4:15]going to do how am I going to get out

[4:16]there and then this man appears and he

[4:19]starts walking over the drift water they

[4:20]like okay so this is the way this is how

[4:22]we have to do this we want to see our

[4:25]lovely ocean and we're just going to

[4:26]have to you know deal with um

[4:32]with whatever chaos it brings because

[4:33]that's what the ocean does I

[4:35]love this ocean um so he's walking

[4:39]over and I point at the ocean I point at

[4:42]it and I say I want to play with that

[4:44]thing he just looks at me and I watch it

[4:48]register in his expression like I watch

[4:51]something register and he goes okay and

[4:55]then he' start telling me about sneaker

[4:57]waves you know like like like okay go

[5:01]play with it but just know it's it's

[5:02]kind of

[5:06]dangerous it was such a cool moment and

[5:09]then you know I go out there and I

[5:10]actually do I I hike the whole Beach

[5:12]many miles um I didn't play with the

[5:15]ocean because it did feel unsafe like

[5:18]but this was me deciding that not

[5:21]someone telling me about sneaker waves I

[5:23]already knew about those but I you know

[5:26]was watching it and it just didn't feel

[5:30]like the waves would come up to the

[5:33]right up to the edge and then just sit

[5:35]there somehow it was the most amazing

[5:38]strange thing I didn't understand and so

[5:41]I wanted to understand this place better

[5:44]you know cuz then they would randomly

[5:46]come in it was just it's different from

[5:48]all the other beaches I've been on so

[5:50]I'm still learning and you know with the

[5:52]cliff edges if you got caught in a wave

[5:55]there's nowhere for you to go you're

[5:58]trapped so

[6:01]I was like I'll just hike it today and

[6:03]and just kind of get to know it you know

[6:05]and then on the way back I got lost oh I

[6:08]didn't get lost I just didn't see the

[6:10]where the road was and I kept walking

[6:11]and I walked for Miles I phone some's

[6:15]calling so I you know it was a really

[6:20]awesome day and this is how I met him

[6:22]didn't think to ever see him again of

[6:24]course and then a couple days later I'm

[6:27]up at the lighthouse my void penetrating

[6:29]device cuz it's just the coolest thing

[6:31]ever The

[6:33]Sovereign um Sentinel that is

[6:38]just

[6:39]capable of any of the ocean moods and

[6:44]just penetrat the light out into the

[6:46]ocean I mean coolest thing ever

[6:51]lighthouses so anyways I'm up there and

[6:53]I'm just sitting on a uh park bench

[6:57]listening to my music bopping around and

[7:01]this man comes up the you know the

[7:04]trail and you know I don't recognize

[7:07]them so I know the light sucks in here

[7:10]is what it is

[7:12]um but you know I flash him with PE sign

[7:15]cuz that's what I do and I watch his

[7:17]face his I watch his face light up like

[7:21]brightest smile somebody gave him a p

[7:23]sign and this man Just Smiles so

[7:25]brightly it was it was cute it was and

[7:29]you know I just sat there watching the

[7:31]ocean listening to my music and then

[7:33]when I was ready to go I'm walking back

[7:34]down and I see this little tiny dog and

[7:39]there's so much I haven't told you guys

[7:42]I love dogs now this one dog on another

[7:45]beach I was at whales Head Beach this

[7:48]this dog I was sitting on a rock and it

[7:50]it just came and sidled up right next to

[7:52]me and said we're friends now it was

[7:54] amazing I like dogs to so this

[7:57]little dog

[8:00]I I get down to go pet it you know cuz

[8:02]it's up to me and then I see him

[8:05]behind the

[8:06]dog and I don't recognize him he

[8:10]recognizes me I guess he even recognized

[8:12]me when I gave him the P

[8:14]sign

[8:18]so he's he says something and then it

[8:21]registers oh I I met this person so

[8:25]we're just talking you know General

[8:28]chitchat walking up Road up to the

[8:30]parking lot and I decided I want to keep

[8:32]talking to him because he's interesting

[8:34]and I want to make friends and you know

[8:37]like like everything's different now and

[8:39]so we're getting to the parking about

[8:41]what happens after that you know we're

[8:42]just going to go our separate ways and I

[8:45]don't want that so I tell him come to

[8:46]the cliff edge with me just walk over

[8:48]there with me and he

[8:51]does only I would say let's go sit on

[8:54]you know the edge of a void to talk so

[8:58]we walk over there and then this man not

[9:01]even conscious of what he's doing just

[9:04]plants himself right on the edge plants

[9:07]his feet there and I'm just blown away

[9:10]by this cuz not even I have done that

[9:11]yet I have now cuz like I'm not going to

[9:14]be outdone like that but he just plants

[9:16]himself there and I just have a moment

[9:19]like did you really just do that like

[9:26]just that was the moment I decided I

[9:29]it really was I thought about that all

[9:33] night so we're just talking and

[9:37]I don't remember what we talked about

[9:41]background so funny that's that's kind

[9:52]should probably go back to the

[9:54]campground it sucks man lightning sucks

[9:57]it's not daylight yet by the way

[10:00]um and so he's like okay I'll walk you

[10:03]back he actually knows this place really

[10:05]well and he's like he knows where the

[10:06]bench he's like I'll walk you to the

[10:08]bench and then we sit down there and we

[10:11]talk there and then I'm like let's go

[10:12]yeah I know there's this like this

[10:14]there's this like this Lookout area of

[10:16]the cliffs where it's kind of more

[10:18]private because I think it's part of the

[10:21]campground so not as many people go

[10:23]there like not just random people

[10:24]probably just people who are here or

[10:26]whatever and he knows this place too of

[10:28]course and so we walk out there and we

[10:30]talk some more and just this perfect

[10:33]moment of meeting somebody new

[10:37]right pretty cool story

[10:40]and oh we exchanged numbers I forgot

[10:42]about that so Bailey over there making a

[10:52]um man so much has happened

[10:56]so I don't know we ended up hanging out

[10:59]and um like a lot and then just lots of

[11:03]hiking and beaches and you know all that

[11:06]stuff um and yesterday I took him to um

[11:10]to Cape Sebastian with me and this

[11:16]man this man we're walking down the

[11:18]trail he's randomly eating berries off

[11:20]the side of these bushes I turn around

[11:22]and he's eating little berries I so

[11:25]blown away about that it's just so

[11:27]different from me

[11:30]um and we had a good time so you know

[11:33]new friend and I want you to meet him so
