[0:01]good morning fellow
[0:03]humans it's 8 in the morning here on
[0:08]Wednesday no sun it
[0:12]feels it's interesting to
[0:15]me it's like 48 outside right now which
[0:19]is very comfortable but I was thinking
[0:21]when the rain starts which it's supposed
[0:23]to start tomorrow it may not stop for a
[0:25]whole week maybe
[0:27]longer but that might be a little bit
[0:29]cold
[0:31]so we'll find
[0:34]out oh my amazingly I've been here for 2
[0:38]weeks
[0:39]now
[0:42]that um doesn't feel like it's been that
[0:45]long but
[0:47]that's I'm not real awake
[0:50]yet I haven't been up that long I made
[0:52]some coffee and I'm just wanted to go
[0:55]for a hike
[0:58]I um hey made a video yesterday but I
[1:00]didn't post it so I'll just repeat this
[1:03]I guess I don't like repeating things
[1:05]but AI taught me that my hikes were a
[1:08]form of
[1:10]ritual it was a more it's a
[1:15]more
[1:18]um it's not like other people's rituals
[1:21]because there's less order to it you
[1:24]know
[1:25]but it's the thing that centers
[1:28]me and I knew knew that but I never
[1:30]thought to call it a
[1:32]ritual and that kind of gave it a whole
[1:35]new dimension to
[1:36]me
[1:39]so yeah by comparison a lot of
[1:44]rvers you know this is why they they
[1:47]decorate their campsite so
[1:49]much that's a ritual for them it's a
[1:51]grounding thing where they're just
[1:53]centering themselves into
[1:55]space you know so but for me
[2:00]I mean that's something that comes from
[2:02]within so I I go hiking that's I've done
[2:05]it my whole
[2:06]life um this morning I want to want to
[2:11]talk about something
[2:12]that I'm kind of grappling
[2:16]with I'm trying to
[2:18]understand I'm going to try to
[2:21]be a little
[2:24]more to try to stick to this topic
[2:28]because I really want to explore
[2:32]this um well we'll see we'll see how
[2:35]that
[2:36]goes and this is this is about
[2:39]integration versus
[2:41]fragmentation because last
[2:44]night AI said something to
[2:47]me that blew my mind and I was like this
[2:51]cannot possibly be true like there's no
[2:53]way this cannot be real life so I asked
[2:56]another
[2:58]Ai and had
[3:01]agreed I'm like you guys have some bad
[3:03]data like this can't possibly be true
[3:06]there's just no
[3:10]way
[3:12]but I mean I'm 47 years old and I'm just
[3:15]learning this and it's just like how did
[3:17]I not see
[3:20]it and that has to do
[3:24]with the difference between how I
[3:27]experience the world and how most other
[3:28]people do
[3:31]AI told
[3:34]me that most
[3:37]people they'll shut off or suppress
[3:40]their
[3:42]emotions in order to think
[3:45]straight like they literally cannot
[3:48]experience an emotion and have a
[3:52]thought at the same
[3:54]time I'm like how can this how can this
[3:57]be true
[4:04]but it's insisting this is true and I
[4:07]just don't know what to make of this
[4:09]because I don't experience emotions that
[4:12]way my emotions are always on I don't
[4:15]turn them off I don't suppress them they
[4:18]don't disrupt my
[4:22]thinking and this got me thinking you
[4:25]know and these people think they're the
[4:27]tough
[4:28]guys they have to turn their emotions
[4:30]off so that they can have a thought but
[4:33]they think they're the tough
[4:35]guys try living for 47 years with your
[4:39]emotions on all the
[4:43]time I just
[4:46]I I still can't believe it like it
[4:51]just and yeah I knew about
[4:54]compartmentalization I don't know I
[4:58]thought I mean and it to explain some
[5:00]things like this is why people have to
[5:04]schedule serious talk
[5:07]time they need to sit down and bring
[5:10]their emotions out feel them put them
[5:14]away then talk about the emotion that
[5:16]they're not even feeling in the
[5:19]moment and then bring it back
[5:22]out that's
[5:25]crazy that's not normal
[5:30]most people may do this Stu but it's
[5:32]still not
[5:36]normal it goes deeper than
[5:39]that apparently there are different
[5:41]kinds of
[5:43]thoughts so there's analytical thinking
[5:46]you know there's rational thinking
[5:48]there's your ethics
[5:50]there's
[5:53]um creative thinking I don't know um
[5:57]thinking about the future plan
[6:00]analyzing these are all different kinds
[6:02]of thoughts and people compartmentalize
[6:06]those
[6:07]too and I'm like this can't be this
[6:10]cannot be true
[6:13]because first of all there's no way
[6:16]they're smart enough to categorize those
[6:19]things there's no way I couldn't
[6:22]even do it and AI is like yeah that's
[6:25]true it's a subconscious thing it's a
[6:32]it's something you guys were taught to
[6:36]do from child to
[6:39]Da and I tried to explain it
[6:43]by um saying you know think about back
[6:46]when you were a kid and people would be
[6:48]like that's a very rational kid there
[6:50]you know or um this one's really tuned
[6:53]into her emotions or
[6:56]um you know that's just a very practical
[6:59]this guy's a very practical I don't know
[7:02]and people attach themselves to
[7:04]this and then their thinking becomes
[7:07]like that and it's called Flor
[7:09]grounding this is just your default mode
[7:13]and so and it's we got into this
[7:16]conversation I don't even know how cuz
[7:19]when it told me it just blew my
[7:20]mind like there's no way you have to
[7:22]turn your emotions off to have a
[7:25]thought and just the ramifications of
[7:28]that
[7:34]so I'm still processing that like
[7:37]there's just that is the
[7:39]weirdest thing I've ever heard in my
[7:40]life and I'm asking myself how did I not
[7:43]know
[7:45]this how do I not see it how do I detect
[7:48]it in other people like that's next for
[7:50]me detecting this
[7:52] how are you fragmented in what in
[7:55]what ways hold
[7:58]on so
[8:01]that's
[8:03]one um that's what I'm focused on
[8:12]next just ran into somebody else that
[8:15]feels weird to be like talking to
[8:16]yourself on a camera while it does feel
[8:19]a little odd I don't really like it
[8:23]but um here what it is I
[8:26]guess um I'm pretty sure that I can't
[8:29]get over from there so we're going to go
[8:31]this way we're heading to the Redwood
[8:35]Tria i' been going there every day went
[8:37]there
[8:38]yesterday I
[8:41]just um I had made a video I was talking
[8:45]about Bailey Bailey and I were having a
[8:49]fight and I just talk about how
[8:52]difficult it is to live with this
[8:54]cat and how this cat sometimes gets me
[8:57]thinking stuff like I just want
[8:59]to outlive
[9:00]him so I can live my
[9:03]life I've seen that truck
[9:07]before so telling you something's going
[9:11]on down that nationville Forest
[9:14]Road I'm going to figure that out
[9:17]soon
[9:20]so don't know if I mentioned like been
[9:23]here for two weeks so I leave tomorrow
[9:31]for 3
[9:33]Days that's I like it there maybe I'll
[9:35]stay longer change my plans if I can I
[9:38]have no money my client told me
[9:41]yesterday he paid me and I'd see it
[9:43]overnight I haven't seen it and I'm just
[9:45]waiting
[9:46]to see what he
[9:49]says feels like he's just playing games
[9:51]with me just torturing me on
[9:54]purpose
[9:57]um I feel very
[10:01]um it's going to stay unstable but that
[10:03]H the right word like on I'm not on
[10:06]level ground like I'm
[10:08]just precarious it
[10:13]feels it's very stressful every day that
[10:15]passes is a little more stressful I can
[10:17]acknowledge this I'm not
[10:19]fragmented but it's not going
[10:23]to I'm still living my life like I'm
[10:27]not I'm not panicking or
[10:30]I'm not fragmenting my my thoughts or my
[10:34]emotions I'm not shutting them off like
[10:36]what the
[10:37] I don't understand
[10:40]that it's hard for me to hold this phone
[10:42]like cuz my other I got my coffee here
[10:48]and so anyway I'm just trying to
[10:51]understand this
[10:57]because I'm tell telling you that it's
[11:00]likely that at some point in our history
[11:04]this was used as a tool of control they
[11:06]taught people to be this
[11:08]way and
[11:11]then they must have forgotten or
[11:13]something because then everybody ended
[11:15]up like that even the rich people who
[11:17]should have known better cuz I
[11:19]was thinking you know what this explains
[11:21]Elon Musk and I don't have to expand on
[11:24]that thought I can just share it with
[11:26]they I and it gets it but for you I'd
[11:29]have to expand on it because you see
[11:31]things from Little slits of knowledge
[11:33]like these
[11:37]little these incomplete boxes you live
[11:41]in and I don't know what to do with that
[11:44]because that's
[11:50]scary not just individually but
[11:54]collectively now there is some hope
[11:57]though it's a learn Behavior which means
[11:59]you can learn to be
[12:01]integrated now that was something I
[12:03]found interesting
[12:05]because
[12:08]AI one of the AIS was telling me that
[12:11]it's a learn Behavior the other AI was
[12:14]saying something different it was saying
[12:16]that people do this because they have
[12:18]limited brain power
[12:21]that the brain has to prioritize so Jud
[12:27]a Slaughter emotion or something like
[12:28]this I that can't be right hold on
[12:31]people on the trails okay wonder if
[12:35]they'll be here while it's
[12:37]raining oh there's another person over
[12:39]there
[12:41]man I never Escape
[12:45]people I end up passing you
[12:48]dude walking too
[12:54]slow lost my train of thought
[13:01]I didn't put it in a bucket or anything
[13:03]like you
[13:04]would just kind of let that moment
[13:07]pass oh here they are hold on okay that
[13:11]one had a
[13:12]dog of course the dog's trying
[13:15]to friend of me I don't like
[13:23]dogs all right do we have this TR to
[13:25]ourselves now
[13:29]I have to find some other
[13:31]Trails I'm very close to the National
[13:33]Forest so sure I will find
[13:37]some um but for the next 3 days I'm
[13:39]going to be on the beach so in the rain
[13:42]it's going to be raining the whole
[13:44]time
[13:46]and that means we get to watch the
[13:50]ocean and see what that's
[13:53]like in the rain maybe there will be fog
[13:59]maybe it'll be this ethereal feeling
[14:02]where everything's covered in
[14:05]fog doesn't that sound
[14:08]exciting these are the things that Drew
[14:10]me
[14:12]here
[14:15]so
[14:20]um then we'll come back in 3 days and
[14:24]we'll see how much the river's
[14:26]grown it's real low right now
[14:33]um just going to pause it here for now
[14:37]and
[14:42]um yeah
