Scouting Oregon Coastal Campgrounds
Speaker is actively driving and walking through various Oregon coastal campgrounds and national forest areas, evaluating potential camping locations. Currently staying somewhere with noisy neighbors for 2 weeks, planning next moves. Weather appears clear with coastal fog visible on mountains.

[0:01]I wonder if you understand that when
[0:03]Society
[0:04]collapses wherever you
[0:06]are that's the moment that defines
[0:12]you that's where you it's where you
[0:16]stay that's where a community forms
[0:19]around
[0:20]you it becomes your identity you become
[0:23]tied to that place to that
[0:25]moment you better hope you want to be
[0:28]there we try down this narrow road oh
[0:32]finally we get two lanes for miles it
[0:35]was just one lane for both sides we
[0:38]somewhere in a national forest so just
[0:41]saw a sign this in camground I've been
[0:43]driving for like 10 miles I saw this
[0:45]other campgr on the way but it was not
[0:48]somewhere I want to stay it was BLM land
[0:50]though now we're just I think we're in
[0:52]the National Forest cuz it says 2.5 mil
[0:55]National Forest Road
[0:57]40 I am trying to find another supposed
[1:00]to be another campground back here six's
[1:03]Campground and I am just curious what it
[1:06]looks like this is amazing we are just
[1:09]driving down this Forest
[1:11]Road Gravel Road there is a campground
[1:16]here we're very close to it I think I'm
[1:19]right over
[1:21]here
[1:24]okay let see what this says Recreation
[1:28]site all closed probably for the season
[1:32]I guess I don't
[1:34]know this happened earlier
[1:37]too keep looking okay yeah the
[1:40]campground is down there I'm pretty sure
[1:42]so it must be closed for the
[1:46]season we will have to turn around
[1:49]somewhere I guess all that way I mean I
[1:52]could have done some research on my own
[1:53]but I'm also kind of curious cuz like I
[1:55]wouldn't bring my RV back here maybe I'd
[1:57]go camping maybe I bring my je back here
[2:01]use my portable propane tank that I got
[2:03]and you know I've got Heating and
[2:05]cooking and all that so maybe I go
[2:09]camping leave melee at
[2:12]home go camping without him is going to
[2:15]turn around here I said down there
[2:19]that's all I know I want to know what's
[2:21]down
[2:22]there six is River Recreation site I
[2:27]think I know why it will be closed
[2:29]because CU in winter when it's raining
[2:31]all the time maybe the river overflows
[2:34]down
[2:35]there we're going to look this
[2:38]up so we're at C Cape Blanco just going
[2:42]to check this place
[2:44]out this looks like a nice
[2:48]place campg
[2:50]ground Coast right
[2:52]there I like this
[2:55]place sites are close together but
[2:57]that's starting to seem like a organ
[2:58]kind of thing
[3:00]where they they're close together but
[3:02]they also have like foliage and stuff to
[3:05]kind of make them a little more private
[3:07]of course you hear
[3:09]everything but this is not this is not
[3:12]bad at all all right 40s and 50s look
[3:15]like the best sits by far we're in the
[3:18]back right against the
[3:20][Music]
[3:21]coast they're all real nice though they
[3:24]Aran really has some nice
[3:26]Parks their dump station says closed
[3:29]don't know if that's a seasonal thing or
[3:31]what I'll have to look that
[3:34]up so there's no dump station where I at
[3:37]now and I'm there for 2 weeks but then
[3:39]I'm going to another place for 3 days
[3:42]they do have one I'm pretty sure now I'm
[3:44]going to want to confirm
[3:45]that where are you supposed to go
[3:49]they're all closed they have some hiking
[3:51]trails going down to the coast here then
[3:55]there's just this little area so I'm
[3:57]curious what does it look like here
[4:03]water's pretty calm over
[4:06]here oh the ligh house there's a
[4:09]lighthouse over there
[4:12]cool I want to see a
[4:15]lighthouse April through October if I
[4:18]had to guess I was say that you can get
[4:21]a view of the ocean up high on the
[4:23]cliffs but there's probably no getting
[4:24]out there looks pretty
[4:27]steep wind feels nice nice and full
[4:30]Breeze this is nice we got some
[4:32]interesting there's an interesting Trail
[4:34]right there they really keep their pars
[4:37]maintained well like you can just tell
[4:39]there's an effort but into these they're
[4:41]very nice just I wish there was a little
[4:44]more
[4:45]privacy my neighbors at my current one I
[4:48]got Neighbors on both sides of me one
[4:49]side there's dogs barking me all the
[4:51]time on the other they're just listen
[4:53]watching movies real loud and you can
[4:55]hear it from inside my camper it's like
[4:58]I want to live that way
[5:01]so that part
[5:04]sucks let me keep
[5:06]looking they haded the site there look
[5:09]at all that fog up on the
[5:11]mountain that is awesome we need to be
[5:14]up there we need to be up
[5:18]there Humbug Mountain State Park
[5:21]campground this is the place that I
[5:23]wanted to check out it even says
[5:25]bacony most of them do not say that but
[5:29]this is the one I'm most excited about
[5:31]and hoping that I might like because I
[5:34]think I want to be in this area there's
[5:37]definitely a VI to Oregon campgrounds
[5:39]looks like they have a nice shower
[5:41]housee probably the nice one I've seen
[5:43]so far so they have sites up in the
[5:46]front that would be
[5:49]horrible then you can get back here and
[5:52]kind of get a little more specious so we
[5:54]got the
[5:55]50s 50s are nice
[5:59]deal with the 50s I could do that then
[6:02]it goes back even further oh near the
[6:05]highway though 65 to
[6:09]95 okay I see let's see where the 90s
[6:13]are though that does not look like a
[6:18]rot
[6:23]um some of these are all right there's a
[6:25]lot happening
[6:28]here all over the place 70s seem
[6:32][Music]
[6:35]okay trying to see here yeah the 70s
[6:38]would be all right probably the
[6:42]best let's see here 77 looks all right
[6:47]79
[6:48]80 you put you very close to the shower
[6:51]houses so there be some activity
[6:55]but 81 is not bad though
[7:00]two maybe well those are small
[7:03]though my barely fit in those
[7:07]ones
[7:09]so not a bad place very busy a lot of
[7:12]sites there are some awesome views over
[7:15]here there are mountains just rising up
[7:19]on the
[7:22]coast I didn't see any hiking TRS for
[7:25]them
[7:26]though there are some awesome mountains
[7:30]right on the
[7:33]water there's fog
[7:36]everywhere vent
[7:40]fog that mountain over there is in the
[7:43]water there's a mountain in the
[7:47]water oh I bet these have
[7:50]be find out what those are
Summary
rswfire drives through Oregon national forest roads exploring campgrounds while reflecting on societal collapse and place-based identity. He visits multiple locations including a closed recreation site, Cape Blanco campground, and Humbug Mountain State Park. At each location, he evaluates site quality, privacy levels, amenities like dump stations and shower houses, and proximity to coast and mountains. He documents specific site numbers, notes neighbor noise issues at his current location, and assesses which sites would accommodate his RV. The transmission includes observations about Oregon campground design, seasonal closures, and coastal geography including lighthouses and fog-covered mountains.
Signal Analysis
Substrate
This transmission establishes collapse as identity-defining moment while simultaneously conducting physical territory reconnaissance. The field is mapping both conceptual positioning (where you are when society collapses becomes who you are) and literal positioning (evaluating campgrounds as potential anchoring sites), creating recursive alignment between philosophical stance and material infrastructure.
