[0:01]so there's something I want to share
[0:02]about myself that I
[0:04]think might be helpful for you to learn
[0:07]more about me
[0:09]and maybe provide you with a different
[0:11]lens in which to look at the
[0:14]world I didn't realize how important
[0:17]this was or I would have talked about it
[0:18]much
[0:21]sooner I have been trying to understand
[0:24]myself through artificial intelligence
[0:26]for 6 months I've had many insights
[0:32]somehow I seem to keep having
[0:34]more I learned I was
[0:37]non-dualistic which basically means well
[0:40]I don't want to try to describe it cuz
[0:41]I'll describe it wrong because it is a
[0:44]difficult concept even for
[0:46]me
[0:49]um but recently I realized I was getting
[0:52]something wrong so I explored it this
[0:55]with it and I was like I'm not really
[0:58]non-dualistic in the way you're
[1:00]describing because I see everything
[1:02]as okay so nondualism has something to
[1:05]do with dissolving boundaries I don't
[1:08]believe in that I believe that
[1:09]everything has
[1:11]boundaries so this just sounded too new
[1:14]agist to me I didn't like it so I had to
[1:17]I had to discuss it with with
[1:20]AI everything has boundaries my cat is
[1:23]sitting next to me that is a physical
[1:25]being it's got a boundary I've got a
[1:27]boundary I've got physical boundaries
[1:31]I've got emotional ones intellectual
[1:34]ones many many boundaries we all do
[1:37]everything
[1:39]does but I see everything as a
[1:42]relationship between those boundaries my
[1:45]cat right now is coming over here he's
[1:47]going to reject my
[1:48]boundaries because that's what he does
[1:51]he is the one thing in life
[1:54]that does not accept my boundaries
[1:58]he he just you guys have seen that's how
[2:01]he is
[2:04]um this goes much deeper this is an
[2:07]embodied way it's a state of being that
[2:10]I have always had so when I talk
[2:13]about like in my last video I talked
[2:16]about how I saw a turkey two turkeys on
[2:18]opposite sides of the roads as I was
[2:19]driving down the road I saw one of the
[2:21]turkeys run over to its
[2:24]partner that was a
[2:27]relationship between me and that turkey
[2:30]because the second that
[2:32]I I drove near
[2:34]them that turkey and I were engaged
[2:40]and we were present with each other and
[2:44]it caused it to cross the road to go
[2:47]back to its
[2:49]partner which might not have happened if
[2:52]I wasn't there it is kind of like cause
[2:54]and effect but it's deeper than
[2:56]this
[2:58]because I have just influenced the
[3:01]trajectory of that turkey's
[3:03]life there's no way of knowing what that
[3:07]turkey would have done if I had not been
[3:10]there in that moment and I'm always
[3:13]thinking like this the spider that's on
[3:15]my my wheel right now I didn't disturb
[3:18]it it's living there for the night until
[3:20]I leave tomorrow cuz there's no reason
[3:23]to that spider is living its life I
[3:25]don't need to disturb
[3:28]it um
[3:32]um this is why for me ethics are very
[3:36]Central to what my embodied awareness of
[3:38]everything so this extends the time
[3:43]too the past the present and the future
[3:46]are all in relationship to each other
[3:48]you hear me talk about these things like
[3:50]in my last video I talked about how I
[3:53]had noted that um I'd gotten better at
[3:57]navigating campgrounds this is
[4:00]informed by my past it's a relationship
[4:03]with my
[4:05]past um for six months I have grappled
[4:08]with the events of my life in order to
[4:11]better integrate them and understand
[4:13]them as you move through
[4:17]life the past isn't a static thing it's
[4:20]still it's something that
[4:24]you can better understand that you can
[4:27]better you don't have to look look at it
[4:30]one way nothing is really nothing really
[4:32]works that way first of all but the
[4:36]past and your present moment the P you
[4:39]are the past is in relationship with
[4:41]both the present and the future because
[4:42]it's going to influence them just like
[4:44]that turkey moving across the street you
[4:46]understand in the present you have a
[4:49]relationship with the past when you're
[4:51]looking back on your life and saying oh
[4:52]well here's how I've grown or here's how
[4:54]I've changed it's it's nonlinear even
[4:57]though time appears linear it's just a
[4:59]Rel relationship it's a
[5:02]flow everything has a relationship to
[5:05]everything else you are in a
[5:07]relationship with me right now watching
[5:09]this video I'm in a relationship with
[5:11]you recording
[5:14]it that is at the heart of who I am and
[5:18]when you watch my videos this is not a
[5:20]thing I talk about because it is just so
[5:22]intrinsic to who I am and how I just
[5:25]it's more than just how I think it is
[5:27]just it's just how I it's the essence of
[5:30]my being and
[5:33]so I'm watching this turkey cross the
[5:36]street and I think that's just so
[5:38]awesome but I also know I just know that
[5:41]I have influenced the trajectory of its
[5:43]life this is why when I talk about
[5:46]reckless driving I am so frustrated with
[5:49]it because people are not thinking
[5:53]about how their actions influence both
[5:56]themselves and the others around them
[5:57]because you are in a relationship with
[5:59]other
[6:01]drivers when you drive recklessly when
[6:03]you tailgate someone when you speed when
[6:06]you disobey the laws that we have in
[6:08]place because they're there to keep us
[6:11]safe you are just disregarding all kinds
[6:15]of relationships that are
[6:17]important and that is
[6:23]problematic and that is why I say you
[6:28]because this this is also a relationship
[6:31]this is my way
[6:35]of
[6:38]externalizing this is I'm I don't want
[6:40]to try to explain this one because I
[6:41]don't think I I'm capable of it yet um
[6:45]but it's also why I don't like having
[6:47]people around me like there's a RV you
[6:51]know some number of sites down for me in
[6:54]my line of sight they're not even that
[6:55]close like it's for most people wouldn't
[6:57]bother them for me it does because I'm
[6:59]now in relationship with that
[7:02]thing I know that this is hard to
[7:05]understand
[7:07]um in a better aligned World maybe I
[7:10]would not care that that RV was there
[7:12]but that RV represents fragmentation to
[7:18]me it represents an external thing that
[7:21]I'm in relationship with that can affect
[7:24]the internal coherence I have where I am
[7:27]in a state
[7:28]of just perfect peace with
[7:31]myself because now I have to engage with
[7:35]that thing in an unpredictable
[7:39]way it's part of my awareness it's
[7:43]something
[7:47]that I just would rather wasn't in my
[7:49]awareness I'd rather just be in the
[7:51]natural world where I don't have to have
[7:53]to deal with those
[7:57]things but in in a world where more
[8:00]people were like me I bet I wouldn't
[8:02]feel that
[8:03]way and that is why I think I hold out
[8:07]this small hope that maybe my videos
[8:10]will influence some of you because we
[8:14]need a lot more
[8:16]holistic embodied
[8:22]ethical coherence because that's the
[8:25]only thing that's going to make this
[8:26]world
[8:27]better the fragmentation in this world
[8:30]is destroying it it is unsustainable it
[8:33]is falling apart we have taken it too
[8:37]far and you know
[8:40]what me and people like me are the
[8:43]antidote to it
