[0:00]so let me just apologize for the
[0:03]setting I'm obviously in a bathtub which
[0:06]for me is a luxury I live in an RV
[0:10]so I don't get to take baths very often
[0:13]so when I can I truly enjoy them because
[0:16]they're one of my favorite things in the
[0:18]world and I think I think I went six
[0:22]months without a bath so I'm just I'm
[0:25]just relaxing in
[0:27]here and when I'm just
[0:30]not really focused on anything in
[0:32]particular my mind wanders it goes to
[0:34]interesting places I don't have a lot of
[0:37]control over that CU I I don't exercise
[0:40]control over it I mean I could if I
[0:42]wanted to but I just let myself explore
[0:46]things and in this you know and because
[0:50]there's an Insight I want to share with
[0:51]you this just happens to be where I am
[0:54]at the time
[0:55]so um I wanted to talk about the origins
[0:59]of judgment both self judgment and
[1:02]Judgment of others but I want to start
[1:04]by explaining how I got to this topic
[1:07]because it would probably not you know
[1:10]surprise you it started with me thinking
[1:12]about an interaction I had earlier
[1:15]today I met this woman when I dropped
[1:18]off my RV
[1:20]and I noticed a micro expression in her
[1:24]face when she realized they didn't have
[1:27]teeth um I didn't address it I think
[1:29]think I might in the future because she
[1:32]wasn't judging me but she
[1:35]was self-conscious about it and I'm not
[1:39]so I could have said that to her I said
[1:41]I could have just said something like no
[1:44]worries I don't judge myself for this
[1:47]and I'm dealing with it you
[1:49]know um and that got me thinking about
[1:53]how I had talked about this recently on
[1:55]video how I don't judge myself for this
[1:58]situation and
[2:00]also related to some thoughts that I've
[2:02]had earlier today while I was on my
[2:04]height that went unexpressed where I was
[2:06]actually thinking
[2:08]about
[2:11]how um sorry I lost that thought give me
[2:14]a sec oh I was thinking
[2:18]about the process that led me to losing
[2:21]my teeth because it's a fragmented
[2:24]process that was able to happen because
[2:26]of
[2:27]fragmentation not because of
[2:30]I mean you know Behavior plays a role
[2:32]but I mean underneath of that that's
[2:35]what I'm always looking at I'm always
[2:36]looking for those connections and I
[2:40]understand now that for me losing my
[2:41]teeth was about my fragmented mental
[2:44]state where I was not living in
[2:47]alignment
[2:49]with
[2:52]um there's a bunch of factors here it's
[2:55]really hard to explain holistic
[2:56]cognition so um
[3:00]I didn't value them enough so I didn't
[3:04]take care of
[3:07]them I guess that's the core of it I'll
[3:10]leave it at that but um what I want to
[3:12]talk about is is this topic
[3:17]where I don't judge myself and that's
[3:20]because I am a holistic person
[3:24]I I look at the patter I see myself as a
[3:27]whole person like I think other people
[3:30]judge themselves and other people
[3:32]because they're just looking at facets
[3:34]of them and they're doing that through
[3:37]facets of their cognition like if you're
[3:40]judging yourself I'm going to I'll give
[3:43]an example from my life when I was a
[3:47]teenager I internalized homophobia I
[3:50]didn't accept myself at all I hated
[3:53]myself and that was a reflection of what
[3:55]I saw in the world everybody telling me
[3:58]that being gay was wrong
[4:00]evil gross disgusting you know that's
[4:04]how they made me feel and I didn't
[4:06]accept myself at all I thought there was
[4:08]something wrong with me this created a
[4:10]cognitive dissonance which leads to
[4:14]fragmentation and it wasn't until I came
[4:16]out and I felt I literally felt a weight
[4:20]lift out of my body I didn't even know
[4:22]was there just lift right the out
[4:25]of my
[4:26]body I felt so much lighter that is when
[4:30]I
[4:31]realized the cost of
[4:34]fragmentation so if you're judging
[4:36]yourself or you are judging other people
[4:39]which is not something I do I know that
[4:41]many people who watch my videos think
[4:44]that's what I'm doing it's
[4:46]not when you do that it is because
[4:49]you're looking at it from from different
[4:52]centers in your brain that are not well
[4:54]connected so you're looking maybe you're
[4:57]looking at it from an ethical angle or
[4:59]any more emotional one or just you know
[5:02]just a very superficial one that's
[5:05]really what it comes down to because
[5:07]when you're integrated you are not
[5:09]superficial nothing is
[5:12]superficial and I think
[5:14]that's that's
[5:17]worth I I don't want to say meditating
[5:19]on because I don't believe in crap like
[5:21]that I truly don't um but you know let's
[5:25]just go with the colloquialism that's
[5:27]something worth meditating on
