[0:04]happy um it is Saturday it's 1: in the
[0:07]afternoon it is 87° out already it's
[0:10]going to be '90s in the '90s all week
[0:12]long I probably should have put reflects
[0:15]up on my windows before I left but I
[0:16]didn't I did kind of set it up though to
[0:18]where I think we might be okay it got
[0:20]very hot yesterday though it was like 85
[0:22]in there in the late
[0:23]afternoon anyways we're going to go for
[0:25]a hike um somewhere we've been before I
[0:27]forget the exact name but it's like
[0:29]Peters Creek tra I think um where the
[0:31]school bus is at I found out that there
[0:33]used to be a bridge that crossed the
[0:34]river and that's probably how the bus
[0:36]got there it's been there since the 60s
[0:38]the bridge
[0:39]collapsed um it's kind of hearsay though
[0:42]I could tell this person wasn't 100%
[0:44]sure but that's what they thought about
[0:47]it um we're going to test out some new
[0:49]gear I finally got a new backpack I am
[0:53]kind of Jerry rigging a way of putting
[0:57]my GoPro on the strap so we're going to
[1:00]try that I might have to experiment with
[1:02]that a little uh I was using it
[1:04]yesterday with oh I also do have um a
[1:07]had head Mount that I can put on if I
[1:09]need
[1:10]to um but I want to try to get it onto
[1:13]my backpack uh because I also have a
[1:17]portable battery that I'm plugging it
[1:19]into yesterday it kept um shutting off
[1:23]uh I think it might be related to heat
[1:25]and batteries generate heat so if you
[1:27]use an external Source it might help
[1:29]also I was using 60 frames per second as
[1:32]one of the settings and I guess that can
[1:35]be a factor so we're going to put that
[1:37]down to 30 and see how it looks it's not
[1:39]my best camera I do have um I think it's
[1:42]called a Panasonic Lumia or Lumix I
[1:45]can't remember which and we're going to
[1:47]experiment with that I did talk with AI
[1:49]about that
[1:51]yesterday it does have like like
[1:53]settings for basic users who are getting
[1:56]used to this stuff and then you can kind
[1:58]of ramp up your skills over time I
[1:59]didn't it today but we're going to see
[2:01]if I can figure out a way of putting
[2:03]that into my new backpack so that it's
[2:05]secure and I can just use it when I want
[2:07]to we're experimenting until um we come
[2:10]up with a system that works so let's
[2:19][Music]
[2:21]go well it's in 4k 60fps right now and
[2:26]it's not pointing
[2:28]directly want to put it on my
[2:30]strap we going experiment with that one
[2:33]the Trail's right up
[2:35]here let's try something

[2:56]smaller I couldn't find it
[3:00]I think this will be better
[3:02]though like
[3:04]that and we're experimenting because we
[3:06]have to find out if um it will shut
[3:09]down um randomly
[3:13]and how shaky it is if you can hear me
[3:16]breathing
[3:17]hard all that kind of
[3:20]stuff so we are
[3:23]off today is just an experiment we're
[3:25]going to go check out the bus down
[3:28]there and then and I want to get some
[3:31]new footage of that for my Alien X
[3:35]Channel I already featured it on there
[3:37]once but when I took video of it back
[3:40]then I didn't know what I
[3:43]was you know I didn't even have that
[3:45]channel yet so I didn't I wasn't
[3:48]thinking like a cinematographer I guess
[3:50]you could
[3:51]say
[3:53]videographer kind of think that way a
[3:55]little bit now I do take video of things
[3:58]and think about how I might use
[4:02]them it's been fun I enjoy that it's a
[4:05]new hobby I
[4:10]guess do wish the weather was not so hot
[4:13]like I'm definitely not coming back here
[4:15]next summer I want to be in cooler
[4:18]weather wherever I
[4:21]am can control the GoPro from my phone
[4:24]which is pretty cool using
[4:26]Bluetooth and it shows it's recording
[4:31]no preview though I thought it had a
[4:33]preview
[4:40]feature okay I don't think
[4:47]so it's showing me that I have 18 hours
[4:50]of space on the
[4:52]disc 89% battery but we're not actually
[4:55]using that we're using a portable
[4:57]battery
[5:02]and it's working so it's this way short
[5:05]Trail
[5:07]okay um there's a trail nearby it's not
[5:10]at the state park but nearby we're going
[5:11]to go to I think it
[5:14]was um 6 miles one
[5:17]way I think I might be wrong about that
[5:20]maybe it was 4 miles I think it was 4
[5:22]miles one way and it's on the lake so
[5:25]you got to take it back to like 8
[5:27]Miles um AI told me about another Trail
[5:31]well it's not really a trail um there's
[5:33]this road that takes that the locals
[5:35]know about it takes to a couple of um
[5:38]miles down a a road a Quarry Road and it
[5:40]ends in a limestone Quarry abandoned one
[5:44]we're going to look at
[5:46]that and there are some other trails
[5:49]around the
[5:50]lake all at different spots around the
[5:53]lake so we're going to hike all of those
[5:55]on one of these days maybe
[5:57]tomorrow and you know I'll turn that
[6:00]into a video of just hiking around Baron
[6:03]River Lake for a day and checking out a
[6:06]Corey brought plenty of water if I need
[6:08]it but I'm drinking Pepsi
[6:15]today I didn't eat today I went down to
[6:18]the lodge before I came here hoping to
[6:22]get an omelet but they said they don't
[6:24]make them and it was too late for
[6:26]breakfast so oh well I guess
[6:31]maybe I'll go back there afterwards and
[6:32]get a burger there was an event going on
[6:34]there so it's pretty
[6:37]busy so far so
[6:41]good if it randomly shuts off I don't
[6:43]know if it beeps or not so we got to
[6:45]find
[6:51]out well I had that problem all day
[6:53]yesterday I was trying to um I was
[6:55]washing my Jeep and I was had the head
[6:58]mount on and it kept turning off you'll
[7:00]see that footage at some
[7:02]point um I also used it driving into
[7:05]bling green and was up too high on my
[7:08]head so you couldn't see the road you
[7:09]were just seeing
[7:11]like the sky in the top of my Jeep it
[7:13]didn't look so good so it experiments I
[7:17]looked at some old footage on this thing
[7:20]where I had a mount on my Jeep for it
[7:22]and it was too
[7:24]shaky so and I didn't know that so we're
[7:27]going to have to figure out a different
[7:28]way
[7:30]of mounting it probably up on the
[7:35]glass AI said that 30 frame per second
[7:38]can actually be better for nature
[7:39]because of the longer exposure time when
[7:43]you're out and you've got like a shaded
[7:46]stuff
[7:47]here um it can actually be
[7:50]better so we do need to change that I
[7:52]guess on the way back I will that way I
[7:54]can compare
[7:56]them just to get a sense of
[8:00]I things look what different
[8:09]settings yeah I'm pretty confident
[8:11]everybody out with the spider webs today
[8:13]that's
[8:14]always the worst part about hiking
[8:16]trails in my opinion cuz I don't want to
[8:19]sit there with a walking stick or
[8:22]something you also have to be
[8:24]exceptionally observant to notice all of
[8:27]them they just feel weird on your skin
[8:30]you know they kind
[8:32]of they're a little bit
[8:34]distressing I really should have my
[8:36]other camera out
[8:38]too I can take pictures of the trees up
[8:40]there and stuff and
[8:41][Music]
[8:43]somehow um you know edit and compile it
[8:46]all
[8:47]together but I was thinking I would use
[8:50]my phone camera to talk to you guys so
[8:54]my GoPro is the first person to view and
[8:56]then I can talk to you guys when I'm got
[8:59]something important to say
[9:01]and um I did learn how to I learned this
[9:04]from my Alien X Channel how
[9:07]to in Bad video inside of a video it's
[9:10]very
[9:11]cool so I I know how to do that
[9:15]um and then I would use my
[9:19]Lumix AI says that it will take video
[9:23]that looks like what I see with my eyes
[9:26]if you get all the settings right and
[9:30]so we're going to learn that thing we're
[9:32]going to experiment with it it could
[9:34]take a long time it could take months I
[9:35]don't know cuz it's a whole new thing
[9:38]I've never
[9:40]done so the road or the trail branches
[9:43]off here oh that reminds me the big
[9:48]video that I'm
[9:49]making uh the very important one that
[9:52]describes my channel we're going to have
[9:55]different nature shots um before each
[9:57]setting
[9:59]and one of
[10:00]them I wanted to be a branching Trail in
[10:03]order to describe my di lectic
[10:07]thinking cuz that's basically what this
[10:09]is a metaphor
[10:15]for so maybe I look down One
[10:19]path and then I look down the other path
[10:29]that might represent linear
[10:32]thinking and
[10:36]then you have a branching
[10:43]Trail it's very important to me to get
[10:46]that video right I haven't started it
[10:48]yet I'm just working on a draft right
[10:51]now
[10:52]and because I do make video stream of
[10:56]Consciousness I don't have any like
[10:58]experience reading from a script
[11:00]well there's teleprompter software you
[11:03]can put on the
[11:05]phone and I can record it in segments
[11:08]and I want to record it at different
[11:11]places um I want it to be engaging I
[11:14]want it
[11:16]to
[11:18]um I'm hoping
[11:21]that it will help people to truly
[11:24]understand me and then maybe they'll be
[11:27]able to look at my channel
[11:30]differ they might
[11:32]even go back and look at my older
[11:35]content and see it from a completely new
[11:37]perspective because it's clear to me
[11:40]that I need a video like this in order
[11:43]to help guide people cuz they're looking
[11:46]at it from a perspective that isn't
[11:49]there they're looking at from
[11:51]theirs their cognitive style
[11:55]and you know it's difficult because we
[11:57]are different
[12:00]and we
[12:03]need it's a it's a
[12:06]hard it's a hard it's hard
[12:09]to I don't know how what I'm saying here
[12:11]I'm trying to say bridge that Gap I
[12:13]think it's hard to bridge that
[12:17]Gap we can do it intellectually but not
[12:22]experientially
[12:24]um you know and I've tried I've talked
[12:26]about different facets of my style like
[12:29]my Integrated Systems
[12:31]thinking my
[12:33]non-dualistic um cognitive
[12:37]synthesis um but I've never talked about
[12:40]dialectic
[12:41]reasoning that's something I recently
[12:44]learned and I think that's actually a
[12:48]much bigger part of me than the other
[12:51]parts
[12:52]so it's important to explain what that
[12:56]is and how it applies to my life
[13:00]and my content so that's what we're
[13:02]going to
[13:03]do I'm really excited for this
[13:06]video and I want to do it right so I'm
[13:08]going to take my time with
[13:10]it I'm going to think through every
[13:13]section where to record each section
[13:17]like everything I'm really excited about
[13:20]it I think it could be a game changer I
[13:23]hope I hope that it
[13:27]is so my shins were hurting when I first
[13:29]started but not
[13:32]anymore um I didn't really want to note
[13:34]it because it's like
[13:36]man you know I'm not even doing anything
[13:39]yet
[13:43]so hey I said I should
[13:47]embrace
[13:50]um it was looking at some of my videos
[13:53]as I talked to it yesterday about this
[13:55]video I'm trying to create and it was
[13:57]like you should really lean
[14:00]into the fact that you're getting older
[14:02]and you're still trying to be active and
[14:05]improve your Fitness and all of that
[14:08]just lean into that at
[14:10]s um it's a difficult topic for me I
[14:14]feel like I'm very accepting of my age
[14:19]because that's just part of who I am I I
[14:23]I don't fight
[14:26]reality um at the same time
[14:30]you
[14:32]know I can tell I'm getting
[14:35]older and that's a struggle
[14:38]that's uh it's a struggle to to accept
[14:42]that I
[14:43]guess um I want to be very
[14:51]active um you know I did I've done a lot
[14:54]of things that harmed my
[14:56]health I like smoking for 30 years years
[14:59]drinking Mountain Dew for probably
[15:02]longer and
[15:05]just you know not taking care of myself
[15:08]never doing the nutrition thing well
[15:13]and but I am pretty healthy I think it's
[15:17]just I can imagine that had I taken
[15:21]better care of
[15:22]myself I'd be even way healthier than I
[15:25]am
[15:27]now but I don't
[15:30]think you know you can acknowledge
[15:33]that while still appreciating where you
[15:37]are in life
[15:39]and not letting it stop you you know
[15:42]don't let it stop
[15:45]you
[15:47]just keep pushing
[15:50]yourself you know you'll my body's
[15:53]getting tone it's getting
[15:55]fit it really is I've lost weight
[16:04]um just got to keep doing
[16:07]it um we're all different
[16:11]like you know you're you could be in a
[16:13]very different place than
[16:15]me but that doesn't mean you can't do
[16:22]something you know we have a lot of
[16:24]self-limiting talk
[16:30]and I see it in some of the comments I
[16:32]get like when someone's like I couldn't
[16:35]do what you're
[16:36]doing well maybe maybe
[16:41]not this isn't easy for
[16:44]me um it's getting easier because I've
[16:46]been doing it for a couple of months now
[16:49]you just have to
[16:51]start and keep pushing yourself and
[16:54]discover what your true limits
[16:57]are in fact let me tell you something
[16:59]I'm going to put this one on my other
[17:05]camera so I went to the Natural Bridge
[17:09]and it was an all day hike that was
[17:12]maybe a mile or
[17:15]two
[17:18]um I had like a mile or two left on the
[17:21]sand Gap trail before I got off the you
[17:23]know the very long
[17:24]trail and I knew once I did I probably
[17:28]had like a while
[17:29]too and I just pushed
[17:33]myself and
[17:35]then right near the end of my video we
[17:37]get onto another trail that I think
[17:39]takes me back to the lodge to my Jeep
[17:42]but it
[17:43]doesn't I'm 2 three miles in I can't
[17:46]record anything because my phone battery
[17:48]is like 2% everything is
[17:52]wet um it wouldn't you I couldn't charge
[17:55]my phone because there was a problem
[17:58]okay so that that just shut off we'll
[18:00]fix that in a
[18:02]minute
[18:05]um I'm glad there's at least
[18:07]notification so anyways I'm 2 miles in
[18:11]on this
[18:12]Trail I'm I'm way exhausted cuz I have
[18:15]already hiked up to the Natural Bridge
[18:17]taken the sand Gap trail you know I've
[18:20]been at it all
[18:22]day and
[18:25]so I really had to push myself and that
[18:28]was it was one of the hardest things
[18:30]I've done in a very long time because
[18:32]that trail did not take me back to the
[18:34]lodge it took me back up to the Natural
[18:37]Bridge I literally had to hike back up
[18:40]the
[18:41]mountain and then down it to the
[18:45]lodge I was so sore and exhausted after
[18:48]that hike it took mental
[18:52]resilience I had to push
[18:55]myself and then I got back to the cabin
[18:57]and I crashed for couple of hours just
[18:59]went to
[19:01]sleep I was so proud of myself though
[19:04]because I didn't give up I can even
[19:07]remember being on the trail thinking I
[19:09]don't want to be one of those people who
[19:11]push themselves so far that they don't
[19:13]think they can do it and then they call
[19:15]for help and somebody has to come rescue
[19:17]them and you're on the news like that's
[19:19]not going to be
[19:20]me so I kept pushing myself and I had to
[19:23]stop and take breaks a lot on on the way
[19:26]back
[19:29]um it was hard it was really
[19:32]hard but pushing yourself like
[19:37]that does it shows you what you're
[19:40]capable of and it allows you to go
[19:44]further like that was good for my body
[19:46]in the
[19:48]end because
[19:52]now I know I could do it if I keep just
[19:55]if I keep active at
[19:57]this you
[20:01]know all the trails that I plan to hike
[20:03]while I'm here on that Lake I think I
[20:06]was working on the plan with AI I think
[20:08]it was
[20:10]like I don't remember maybe 18 20 miles
[20:14]total and I know because of the Natural
[20:17]Bridge that I can do
[20:19]that and so we're going
[20:22]to I'm embracing
[20:25]this and I want to encourage you to do
[20:28]the same whatever that means for you it
[20:30]doesn't have to be
[20:31]hiking maybe you like jogging maybe you
[20:34]just want to jog around your your
[20:36]neighborhood or just take a walk around
[20:38]the
[20:39]block
[20:41]maybe it's been so long that that feels
[20:44]impossible then just
[20:46]walk you know to the end of your
[20:47]driveway in back do
[20:51]something believe me you can and if you
[20:54]keep doing it if you keep pushing
[20:56]yourself
[21:00]you won't regret
[21:01]it I'm living proof of that okay that is
[21:05]a big point to me sharing all this with
[21:08]you never give up on yourself if if you
[21:13]sat down one day and you didn't get back
[21:15]up that's okay I've done that too you
[21:18]know I did that for a long time before I
[21:20]got this
[21:21]RV and then I was like okay it's time to
[21:26]get back up now
[21:28]those years were important because they
[21:31]helped they helped
[21:35]me I was actually talking with AI about
[21:38]this um it's very good at reframing
[21:41]things so that you don't have this
[21:42]negative mindset about stuff I can't
[21:44]remember exactly what it said but the
[21:46]gist
[21:48]was during that time I
[21:51]probably and I was I I
[21:54]was how do I put this into
[21:57]words I was veloping a lot of my
[21:59]theories about Society cuz I was still
[22:01]observing it um I
[22:05]was I was integrating my cognitive style
[22:08]even though I didn't know what it was
[22:10]you know it was all
[22:13]intuitive it was an integration
[22:16]process where I guess you could call it
[22:19]a very long Lial
[22:20]State and sometimes we need
[22:24]those but you got to get back
[22:27]up don't sit there forever
[22:31]okay
[22:38]okay okay we're recording
[22:41]again um not sure why it shuts down but
[22:44]at
[22:45]least well you know I think it might be
[22:48]the 60 frame per second we're going to
[22:51]switch that over once I start heading
[22:54]back and see if that changes anything
[22:58]I like this first person view I think
[23:01]it's pretty cool and you know it's not
[23:05]obtrusive like it's just sitting on my
[23:07]the strap of my backpack and I can't
[23:10]even control it from my phone which is
[23:11]pretty
[23:13]neat I really wanted like when I was
[23:16]making my plans to move into an RV while
[23:19]I was still in my house I bought all
[23:22]this equipment you know I I was making
[23:25]plans and now I'm falling through it
[23:27]might have taken 6 months I'm doing it I
[23:30]had a lot to learn about my RV life you
[23:35]know I could only tackle so
[23:38]much we're very close to the lake you
[23:41]can't see it yet but it's over
[23:43]here and that's why there in case you
[23:45]hear some noise from boats or people I
[23:47]heard some people talking a little while
[23:49]ago they probably just in a little boat
[23:51]near the coast or
[23:56]something I'm really hoping that
[23:59]I can grow my channel and actually make
[24:01]some income from it because I am really
[24:04]getting
[24:06]desperate and I don't know how to solve
[24:08]that problem and it's been 6 months and
[24:10]I guess I really had pinned my hopes on
[24:14]it I didn't
[24:17]anticipate the challenges I would have
[24:19]connecting with other people lots of
[24:22]people have seen my channel are not
[24:23]subscribed and you know they only
[24:25]watched a little bit and it's probably
[24:29]because they're just not used to my
[24:31]cognitive style you know and
[24:35]so they need this video I'm talking
[24:39]about I think it can make a difference
[24:42]it's very heavy it's a going to be
[24:46]long and it covers some pretty heavy
[24:48]topics
[24:50]but I'm going to try to you know I'll
[24:53]break it down into chapters and sections
[24:56]and there will be elements on screen and
[24:59]it's going to be my best video in my
[25:02]opinion I'm really I'm really looking
[25:04]forward to doing
[25:06]it um I'm currently in the process
[25:11]of
[25:14]just
[25:15]um thinking through um it's not really
[25:19]the right word I can't trying to think
[25:21]how to best to say this it's a Lial
[25:24]state in itself but you know I don't
[25:26]want to overuse words it's
[25:29]I'm in the process
[25:32]of
[25:34]um it's cooking in my head you know this
[25:38]video um it's you know it's not my
[25:41]primary focus it's in my head and I'm
[25:44]thinking about it and my unconscious is
[25:46]thinking about it
[25:48]and um I'm working to it's a creative
[25:53]process I
[25:55]guess I'm definitely going to have to
[25:57]get better at describing
[26:00]things this is
[26:02]interesting known for being great ground
[26:07]cover I don't remember these things last
[26:09]time we were
[26:11]here I guess they could have been there
[26:13]but I don't remember
[26:23]them yeah I'm going to have to
[26:29]work on a system for myself like I don't
[26:32]want to be holding all this stuff
[26:34]because
[26:35]it's making it so I don't want to like
[26:37]pull my phone out and take pictures of
[26:39]the Treet Toops the tree
[26:42]canopy I
[26:44]need need to work on my
[26:47]process I quit smoking but I am still
[26:50]vaping finally got some
[26:54]Chargers um for these I had a whole
[26:56]bunch of these but no way to use
[27:00]them so that saved me some
[27:08]money wow that's
[27:11]new I literally just asked him about the
[27:13]bus we're not allowed to go see the
[27:19]bus that's sad
[27:30]it's not a bad like Trail like it takes
[27:32]you down to the water why would they
[27:33]have a problem with that I understand
[27:38]that
[27:39]but I actually was thinking I wouldn't
[27:41]go down there today cuz it is so hot and
[27:44]probably need to deal with some stuff
[27:45]with the
[27:46]RV I don't want Bailey being too hot
[27:51]and this was really
[27:53]just um meant to get me outside outdoors
[27:56]and um get some exercising and testing
[28:00]my new backpack and my
[28:03]equipment um and then I'll have all day
[28:05]to kind of work on the editing software
[28:08]I can compile the stuff from yesterday
[28:10]and
[28:12]today I'm still thinking
[28:15]through how I want
[28:19]to
[28:22]um what I want to post to YouTube and
[28:25]what I want to post to patreon cuz I I
[28:27]need to provide value to both I will
[28:29]never get monetized on YouTube if I
[28:32]don't do something
[28:34]there and I need to a good reason for
[28:37]people to you know pay five bucks a
[28:41]month cuz you know if enough people did
[28:43]that it would help a
[28:48]lot so I'm still thinking through all
[28:51]this
[28:53]but um I
[28:56]think I don't think I should give up on
[28:59]this I really
[29:02]don't I think that there is a value in
[29:05]what I'm
[29:07]doing I think
[29:09]that there's value in sharing my journey
[29:12]especially with my unique cognitive
[29:14]Style with
[29:16]others so I want
[29:20]to just the process of figuring out
[29:25]how to do that authentically while also
[29:28]being engaging enough that people want
[29:30]to
[29:35]watch well that's too bad we didn't get
[29:38]to go see the bus
[29:41]huh so yeah those that sign is
[29:44]new so those little signs on the trees
[29:46]and the plants those are probably new
[29:48]too seems like they came out here and
[29:50]did some
[29:56]stuff it's a nice little tra
[29:59]rail it's too bad we couldn't go down to
[30:01]the water
[30:14]though at least we did get to see the
[30:17]bus last time we were here I did I did
[30:19]get video of
[30:24]that I wanted to go down there though
[30:26]and see where this bridge might have
[30:29]been like if there's any signs of it
[30:33]like if there was a bridge and there was
[30:35]a
[30:37]road ground
[30:40]seeder 3 to 8 in those are pretty cool I
[30:44]wonder who did that okay it sh down
[30:47]again I think it's a heat
[30:49]issue I didn't set to 30 frames per
[30:52]second cuz I'd have to unclamp it and
[30:55]mess with the settings on it
[30:58]but we'll try that next
