[0:00]I realized something just now I think
[0:03]that we have been gaslit by
[0:06]Society I'm not depressed I'm
[0:09]bored I'm bored to tears how about you
[0:12]the world the way that it is structured
[0:15]now is just boring like there's
[0:18]nothing to do there's nowhere to go I
[0:21]mean
[0:23]we've we talk about this we've lost our
[0:26]third places and there's lots of them
[0:28]that we've lost I mean
[0:30]there's just nothing to do anymore
[0:32]there's nowhere to connect with people
[0:34]like it's
[0:35]just the whole society has become
[0:38]homogenized in a way that just
[0:41]feels focused on work and
[0:47]groceries what else is there what the
[0:50] else is there
[0:53]like it's just sad
[0:56]like I'm still kind of processing it I
[0:59]just had the thought I I just think that
[1:01]we have been we've been gastl into
[1:05]thinking that we should be
[1:08]happy doing certain things in
[1:12]life without any type of consideration
[1:16]for the things that actually make people
[1:18]happy right
[1:21]so I've never addressed this on my
[1:24]channel cuz I was kind of keeping the
[1:26]door open um I spent the past 10 10
[1:30]years of my life working for a guy I'm a
[1:33]freelance
[1:35]programmer who truly did not value me at
[1:39]all and this has been made clear to me
[1:41]as of
[1:43]yesterday 10 years of my life I
[1:45]dedicated to this man I was very ethical
[1:49]honest
[1:52]productive and this man has somehow
[1:55]managed to forget all of this in the six
[1:57]months since I quit that job
[2:01]not I'm not sure he ever truly even
[2:02]recognized it Bailey decided to show off
[2:05]hi
[2:06]buddy um so let me just tell you like
[2:10]what I experienced for the past 10 years
[2:11]why the hell I got burnt out in the
[2:13]first place so this man
[2:18]would have an idea for a
[2:21]project and just a vague
[2:24]idea and he' asked me to create it for
[2:28]him I had to do
[2:30]everything okay I had to really think
[2:34]through what this man really wanted
[2:36]because it was so vague I had to kind of
[2:39]Intuit it what are your real needs here
[2:41]um I also knew that this man loved to
[2:44]change his mind a lot so I had to always
[2:46]think about okay how do we Design This
[2:49]in a way that we can change it later
[2:51]when he just decides to flip the script
[2:53]on us because that happened a lot I had
[2:56]to hire the programmers I had to manage
[2:58]them I had to fire them them
[3:01]uh for 10 years of my life I basically
[3:05]acted as the top level CTO of this
[3:10]company without that kind of
[3:12]compensation or
[3:14]recognition and it was stressful and it
[3:16]was difficult and I worked with hundreds
[3:18]of programmers
[3:21]who I could
[3:23]see I could see that programmers today
[3:27]do not have the background or skills or
[3:30]experience that I do like I I was
[3:32]actually very shocked by this I never
[3:35]really saw myself as like particularly I
[3:39]I knew I was gifted I've been
[3:40]programming since I was a child but I
[3:43]didn't think that that was like super
[3:45]rare like I truly didn't so I
[3:47]undervalued myself for most of my career
[3:51]and it was only through this job that I
[3:53]started to realize for managing these
[3:56]programmers that I I really undervalued
[4:01]myself so I
[4:04]just he is very interested in boxing
[4:07]technology which I actually think is
[4:09]kind of a scam I truly do it has very
[4:12]limited usability in the world um most
[4:15]people don't know this but nfts they're
[4:17]not in the blockchain those images just
[4:19]sit on a normal server that a normal
[4:22]admin can just delete at any time what's
[4:24]in the blockchain is just a reference to
[4:27]it it's just a unique set of characters
[4:29]and numbers to rep you know it doesn't
[4:30]mean anything it truly doesn't um you
[4:33]can't put things in the blockchain like
[4:35]everybody's like he's trying
[4:38]to he wants to
[4:41]track very sensitive personal things
[4:44]about I'm trying to be a little bit
[4:46]vague here so um you can't put any type
[4:50]of personal information in the
[4:52]blockchain it's there forever you can't
[4:53]be putting people's names and their
[4:55]addresses and and the royalties they
[4:57]earn and you know all the stuff you you
[5:01]just can't do that people people are
[5:02]really not going to want to adopt
[5:05]that and it's just so that information
[5:08]goes into another database and in the
[5:11]blockchain you just have a reference to
[5:12]it everything is still in the normal
[5:15]technology that we have today okay it's
[5:18]it's not it's not special blockchain
[5:20]isn't going to solve big problems for us
[5:25]sadly I do think that fiet currency is
[5:28]going to die and they're going to
[5:29]replace with that might be the only
[5:30]useful thing that you can do with it
[5:33]right all these other projects all these
[5:35]other things they're trying to do with
[5:37]it they don't understand the underlying
[5:39]technology they don't
[5:41]understand they're trying to solve a
[5:44]problem that we have already
[5:45]solved it just it it baffles my mind it
[5:48]truly
[5:49]does now on the flip side AI is actually
[5:53]valuable AI will actually revolutionize
[5:55]the world and I have been trying to
[5:57]convince my boss of this I think I think
[5:59]he sees that you know I'm
[6:02]right and yet he's not implementing it
[6:04]he's focused on all this blockchain
[6:07]stuff so it's been a source of
[6:11]tension and he's now working with people
[6:13]that I hooked him up with when I quit my
[6:15]job I just hooked him up with some of
[6:17]the people I had hired and fired in the
[6:19]past people I had fired okay and now he
[6:22]seems to think that they're just going
[6:26]to he I think there's this cognitive
[6:30]dissonant in this man where he is
[6:33]just because those are the people he's
[6:35]working with right now he thinks are the
[6:37]best I know them I know what they're
[6:40]doing I look at the work I see the
[6:42]mistakes they're making he acknowledges
[6:45]none of that and he actually suggested
[6:47]that if I came back to the company I
[6:49]would be working underneath of these
[6:51]people people I fired I just my mind is
[6:55]blown about it and I
[6:57]just it really sucks this man does not
[7:00]see the value that I brought to that
[7:02]company for 10 years of my
[7:05]life I worked so hard for him I burnt
[7:08]myself
[7:09]out trying to make it work he never
[7:13]provided support he never provided
[7:15]feedback he never did the little things
[7:18]that I needed him to
[7:19]do I just I'm I'm truly
[7:23]baffled that he was able to just erase
[7:26]all that from his mind so quickly
[7:29]and I
[7:31]just wish him the best he owes me money
[7:34]that I don't think I'm ever going to see
[7:35]because I would have it by now if I was
[7:37]going to you know so it just the whole
[7:40]situation is frustrating because there's
[7:42]nothing I can do about it except move on
[7:45]and I've been in this situation before
[7:46]in my life you know um so I'm just
[7:50]trying to figure out what am I going to
[7:52]do with my life
[7:54]now I don't have an answer yet but it'll
[7:57]come it's just
[8:02]he tried to vest me into the company
[8:04]with some documents I think at like
[8:07]0.25% it was
[8:09]actually I found that insulting I didn't
[8:12]sign these documents I was insulted by
[8:16]that because it's like wow you truly
[8:17]don't value me I never told him this but
[8:21]that was the main
[8:23]reason why I didn't sign them and there
[8:25]were others I just felt there were
[8:27]ethical considerations because I know
[8:29]this man I didn't want to get
[8:32]myself I didn't want
[8:35]to basically I didn't want to have any
[8:38]liability in his
[8:40]companies um apparently he is baffled by
[8:43]the fact that I chose not to sign these
[8:45]documents it's been 7 months like why is
[8:47]he even thinking about this to me it was
[8:50]a nonissue I've worked with this man for
[8:52]10 years he should know me very well for
[8:56]him
[8:57]to but he clearly does
[8:59]I don't think that I think maybe we're
[9:01]just so fundamentally different that he
[9:04]can't understand that some people are
[9:06]actually super ethical
[9:09]like my Integrity matters a lot
[9:14]so I just I'm I guess I'm just kind of
[9:17]I'm still processing it I'm a little bit
[9:18]angry honestly
[9:21]because the last email I got from him I
[9:24]just think was a very insulting
[9:26]email and I don't think that I'm going
[9:29]to
[9:30]to get what I've earned out of him and I
[9:34]see him repeating a pattern that he's
[9:36]repeated over and over again those
[9:38]projects are not going to go
[9:43]anywhere we spent years working on a
[9:46]project that we finally got to Market
[9:48]and then that man did absolutely nothing
[9:51]to Market it or try to grow it and even
[9:54]ignored customer complaints that we had
[9:57]we had a few customers and he just
[9:58]ignored like it wasn't even important
[10:00]because you know one day this thing will
[10:02]be big and it won't matter that we lose
[10:03]a few customers in the beginning I don't
[10:06]understand this man I worked with them
[10:07]for 10
[10:09]years and I think that I made a big
[10:12]mistake doing that I should I I made
[10:16]really decent money over time because I
[10:18]kept asking for it and so that made it
[10:21]harder to leave it did help me get this
[10:23]RV it did help me build up a savings
[10:25]enough of a savings that I've been able
[10:27]to afford this lifestyle as much as I
[10:29]have to to this point running out of
[10:31]money very
[10:32]fast
[10:34]but it burnt me out
[10:38]and I didn't even know that was possible
[10:41]I've been programming since I was a
[10:42]child but this job actually burnt me out
[10:44]and it's because I was responsible for
[10:46]everything
[10:48]and the Dynamics of that work
[10:52]relationship were just bad they were
[10:55]awful so I don't know where I'm going
[10:57]from here I need need to get that off my
[11:00]chest
[11:01]so so anyways let's switch gears here um
[11:04]I learned something yesterday I thought
[11:05]it was very interesting I didn't know
[11:06]the origins of Jeep
[11:08]ducking
[11:10]um my my dentist asked me so I ended up
[11:13]looking it up it turns out it's only
[11:15]been around since 2020 since Co there
[11:17]was this woman in in Canada I think her
[11:20]name was Allison and she started this
[11:23]trend and it has spread worldwide that
[11:26]is pretty cool like I think that I'm
[11:29]going
[11:31]to I'm definitely participating like
[11:34]anytime I come across a jeep that I
[11:36]think deserves a duck I'm giving it one
[11:38]I'm putting it on video and I'm just
[11:41]totally embracing that cuz I think it is
[11:43]a really awesome idea it is all about
[11:45]community and just spreading positivity
[11:49]I mean it is really
[11:51]cool so I'm going to Walmart um I'm
[11:55]waiting on them to my order cuz I'm just
[11:57]going to pick it up I'm going to just
[11:58]make chili today
[12:00]yeah and just you know chill with Bailey
[12:03]over here who is definitely having a
[12:05]good
[12:06]time yeah it is amazing how that cat can
[12:09]just I mean he looks very comfortable
[12:12]but you know he's going to be upset by
[12:14]all the sound I'm just going to have to
[12:17]just deal with him hope you guys have a
[12:21]good holiday if you celebrate you know
[12:22]cuz I know that everybody's in America
[12:24]so I'm just acknowledging that like
[12:26]you're you're American and you celebrate
[12:28]have a very good hob okay
