[0:00]hi everyone I have a question for you
[0:03]have you ever done a kind act for a
[0:05]stranger without getting anything back
[0:07]in return CU I've been doing that my
[0:09]whole life and statistically I think the
[0:12]answer is probably
[0:14]no we could talk about all the things we
[0:16]do for our friends and family but we do
[0:18]that out of love out of caring out of
[0:21]responsibility what have you done for
[0:23]strangers in my original videos I talked
[0:26]a lot about paying it forward I haven't
[0:29]been doing that lately
[0:31]and I realized I never really told you
[0:32]what that looks like for me so I made a
[0:34]list of the kind acts I've done in my
[0:36]life that I just off the top of my head
[0:38]it's definitely not complete and they go
[0:40]back to Childhood so I'm going to share
[0:41]that with you and then I have a
[0:42]challenge for
[0:43]you in childhood I was in the Boy Scouts
[0:47]and this woman she had lost her leg she
[0:49]was in a car and she was
[0:51]stuck on it was in a parking lot and she
[0:54]was just stuck on like this little
[0:56]island thing she couldn't get out I had
[0:58]to convince my entire group to help her
[1:00]they didn't want to help her I don't
[1:01]know why I had to convince them to help
[1:04]her I had to remind them what it meant
[1:05]to be a Boy Scout including the scout
[1:07]master that's the first kind act I can
[1:10]remember another time I gave $20 to this
[1:14]family in Mexico I like in fourth
[1:17]grade whole family came out of this room
[1:19]and hugged me and
[1:21]cried nearly broke
[1:23]me as an adult I almost always sto for
[1:27]strangers that are walking down the road
[1:29]if they look like they're in distress
[1:30]andless they're women cuz I don't want
[1:32]to make them
[1:33]uncomfortable but I will go drive and
[1:35]get my mother and then drive back so
[1:38]that there's a woman in the car with me
[1:40]just to make sure they're
[1:41]okay I remember once I paid for a
[1:44]Mother's groceries who was in front of
[1:45]me at a grocery store she didn't have
[1:47]enough money I just paid for
[1:49]it I on my way to Arizona I just
[1:52]recently I picked up a hitchhiker and I
[1:54]gave him $100 when I dropped him off no
[1:56]reason just cuz I knew that it would
[1:57]help him
[2:00]um that same trip I gave away to $100
[2:02]after he gave me an omelette at a
[2:04]restaurant you know
[2:06]just just
[2:08]because I didn't even like the guy he
[2:10]had me sitting there forever but you
[2:12]know I just wanted to do a kind act that
[2:15]day I routinely give away my things if
[2:18]I'm not using them and I think someone
[2:20]else will benefit from
[2:21]them um another example maybe a year ago
[2:27]there I used to there's a tobacco store
[2:29]near my old house that I would go to
[2:31]there was a mother there she had a kid
[2:34]and I had met him like I don't know four
[2:36]or five years ago one time only met this
[2:38]kid once he was just hanging out with
[2:40]his mother and he was playing video
[2:41]games and she brought him up one day and
[2:44]said that he was starting high
[2:46]school and I knew he was a gamer you
[2:49]know and he was starting high school and
[2:52]I thought I can help this kid I have an
[2:53]Alienwear laptop that's like months old
[2:56]and I gave it to her to give to him I
[2:59]ended up buying the laptop I have now to
[3:02]replace
[3:03]it now I didn't and don't always have
[3:07]money but one what money I have ever had
[3:10]I have
[3:11]shared I think that you have to pay it
[3:13]for it in this world and it has to be
[3:15]genuine you have to do it it has to come
[3:18]from your heart you can't expect
[3:19]anything in return I think good things
[3:21]come when you do
[3:23]that you help somebody else
[3:26]out it can make you feel good and you're
[3:29]just you're just bringing positivity in
[3:31]the world and there is not enough of
[3:32]that
[3:33]anymore now the reason I say
[3:36]statistically most of you probably have
[3:38]never done a kind thing to a stranger
[3:40]ever is because it's only happened to me
[3:43]once in my entire life and it was a
[3:46]homeless man who helped me I was
[3:47]homeless at the time I went into the
[3:49]woods I went and I and I just stumbled
[3:51]across this Camp so I kept moving and I
[3:56]just dropped my tent and my stuff off
[3:57]and I left for the day came back my tent
[4:00]hadn't even been set up whoever lived in
[4:02]that tent found mine and put a bunch of
[4:04]bagels on top of it so that I would have
[4:07]food a homeless person did that for
[4:11]me what have you done for a
[4:14]stranger they it forward
