[0:00]hey everyone so I just got to Walmart so
[0:03]that I can get some stuff for my camper
[0:06]on the way I had an incident and I just
[0:07]want to talk about it I don't think
[0:09]anything will come out of it because I
[0:10]don't think that you can change minds
[0:12]and hearts in this world I just that's
[0:13]truly how I feel so I guess I'm just
[0:16]venting
[0:17]but I just wanted to hear this so I'm on
[0:21]my way here I'm driving down the road I
[0:22]think I'm even going over the speed
[0:24]limit which isn't something I do very
[0:25]often because I think you should respect
[0:27]traffic law or therefore for a reason
[0:29]and squirrel came out in front of me and
[0:31]I stopped and I had to stop pretty fast
[0:33]I didn't want to hit a squirrel didn't
[0:35]want to kill a squirrel there was
[0:36]somebody behind me in a truck honk their
[0:38]horn at me probably had to stop really
[0:41]fast themselves because they were
[0:42]tailgating me that's why you don't
[0:44]tailgate you need to put space between
[0:46]you and other drivers I'm not focused on
[0:48]what's behind me I'm focused on what's
[0:50]in front of me and if a squirrel comes
[0:52]out on the road I'm not going to kill
[0:54]that thing for you just so you can get
[0:55]somewhere 30 seconds faster it's not
[0:57]happening you have no right to get mad
[0:59]at at me honk and your horn at me
[1:02]because I'm trying to prevent the death
[1:05]of something that I actually do
[1:07]value like I'm not I don't want that on
[1:10]my conscience I don't want to be walking
[1:11]around like all day thinking about how I
[1:13]killed a squirrel like I'm glad I didn't
[1:17]hit it it was close I'm glad I saved its
[1:21]life you should be too just drive
[1:24]respectfully
Summary
rswfire recounts an incident while driving to Walmart to get camper supplies. A squirrel ran into the road, prompting him to brake quickly to avoid hitting it. The driver behind him, who was tailgating, had to brake hard and honked their horn in response. rswfire reflects on his decision to prioritize the squirrel's life over the convenience of the tailgating driver, emphasizing his refusal to kill an animal just so someone can arrive 30 seconds faster. He expresses satisfaction at saving the squirrel's life and criticizes the other driver's behavior, noting that proper following distance would have prevented the issue.
