[0:22]well anyways I wanted to talk today

[0:26]about what helped me to get over my fear

[0:28]of living the RV

[0:31]lifestyle and start my YouTube channel

[0:33]it's actually the the reason is the same

[0:35]for both

[0:37]so about just one or two days before I

[0:41]posted my first video I went to a

[0:44]dealership and I was supposed to come

[0:46]back there was an RV there that I was

[0:48]going to buy and I was supposed to come

[0:50]back the very next day basically to to

[0:54]buy it to do the

[0:55]paperwork and I went

[0:57]home and I just started thinking about

[1:00]what that life would look

[1:02]like and I got overwhelmed with fear I

[1:05]started thinking about what am I going

[1:06]to do when I get to a gas station you

[1:09]know how am I going to navigate that

[1:11]situation how am I going to find places

[1:14]to go camping just everything about it

[1:17]just felt countered to how I'd been

[1:19]living my life and it just seemed like a

[1:21]lot to try to take on but I knew that

[1:24]this lifestyle would work for me that

[1:26]it's what I needed it's what I

[1:28]wanted and I just I had to come up with

[1:30]a way to overcome the fear and that's

[1:33]what led me to YouTube I just did a

[1:36]search something like RV life you know

[1:39]fear of driving like I think that's what

[1:41]I put in there and somehow I ended up on

[1:44]a channel called carolin's RV

[1:47]life I spent the next eight hours

[1:50]watching this person All Night

[1:54]Long by the I was still watching in the

[1:57]morning when my mom woke up from

[1:58]sleeping all night I was still watching

[2:00]her I just watched video after video

[2:02]after

[2:03]video and as I watched her I I feel like

[2:08]I overcame a lot of my fears first of

[2:11]all she's really fun to watch she's very

[2:13]enjoyable to

[2:14]watch but even beyond that I was

[2:18]watching things that she wasn't like

[2:22]like deliberately trying to share with

[2:24]us like I was watching her drive or I

[2:26]was you know I was watching like how big

[2:28]is her RV you know like like like I was

[2:31]looking at things beyond what she was

[2:33]presenting like I was trying I was

[2:37]analyzing just everything just you know

[2:40]try to bring my level of fear down and I

[2:45]just thought to myself look at her doing

[2:47]this like she's been doing it for years

[2:48]and years she's driving the same size as

[2:51]mine and like if she can do it you know

[2:55]I can do it if somebody else can do

[2:57]something I can do it and then you add

[2:59]the layer she's a woman she's single

[3:01]she's on the road by

[3:03]herself um I mean that takes a lot of

[3:06]bravery and it has to be I imagine it

[3:09]has to be scary at times and yet she's

[3:12]still doing it you know year after year

[3:14]after year you know by the time I I

[3:16]found

[3:17]her I assume you guys know her I mean if

[3:20]you're watching me you know her right so

[3:23]by the time I found her she'd been doing

[3:24]this for seven years and so I just watch

[3:29]a lot videos of her like going all the

[3:33]way back to the beginning you know there

[3:34]were some some of my favorites were like

[3:36]the ones where she wrapped up what her

[3:38]you know that particular year was like

[3:40]for her like you know like a year one

[3:42]review or year two or year five or year

[3:44]seven you

[3:45]know um I saw her on the beach you know

[3:49]just drived her RV up to the beach and

[3:51]just she was on the beach I saw her

[3:54]exploring ghost towns driving her RV you

[3:56]know all over these ghost towns just

[3:59]navigating

[4:01]stores you know doing laundry like just

[4:04]so many different things and then the

[4:06]more I watch her the more I felt like

[4:09]okay this is something I can do like

[4:10]this is something I can get a handle on

[4:12]and

[4:13]do and it is because of her I it is

[4:17]because of her that

[4:19]I went back to that

[4:22]dealership and went back there with a

[4:25]different attitude like I knew at that

[4:27]point that not only did I want to do

[4:29]this but I I had more confidence that I

[4:32]could do this and I just kept pushing

[4:35]ahead cuz I knew any fears that I was

[4:37]having they would dissipate as long as I

[4:40]just did it like I had to just I had to

[4:43]kind of push that faar side and just do

[4:45]it anyways

[4:47]and it made all the difference in the

[4:50]world watching her that night all night

[4:55]long it made it so

[4:57]that I had the confidence to move

[5:01]forward and I if you if you see this

[5:04]Caroline thank you so much for your

[5:06]channel because so much of what you

[5:09]share what makes it

[5:11]possible for people like me to do what

[5:15]you're doing to just give us the sense

[5:18]of confidence like I've been saying to

[5:21]do it you know and I really I really

[5:23]enjoy watching your channel I think that

[5:25]you are authentic and you just share

[5:28]your experience is like I'm doing on my

[5:32]channel I just think you you inspired me

[5:36]you really inspired me it's because of

[5:38]that Channel that I I posted my first

[5:40]YouTube video I I don't exactly know how

[5:44]like I just know that if I hadn't been

[5:46]watching her all

[5:48]night when I finally reached the

[5:50]decision yes I'm doing this in fact I do

[5:53]think it might have

[5:54]been that very next day that I posted my

[5:57]video like I watched her the whole night

[5:59]before

[6:01]I know that the two are linked together

[6:04]they they just are I I never imagined

[6:06]myself on camera especially looking the

[6:08]way I do right now and I

[6:12]just I guess I'm really grateful because

[6:15]it gave me the sense that I could just

[6:18]be myself on here tell my truth just

[6:21]talk and there will be some people out

[6:24]there who would want to hear would want

[6:26]to share in that Journey with me because

[6:29]lot of you do Shar and Caroline's and

[6:32]I'm one of them now I want to say one

[6:34]other thing I

[6:37]have since then you know it's been 3

[6:39]weeks a little more than that and I've

[6:42]started to see other videos and I

[6:44]haven't watched them I've just seen the

[6:45]titles and I I've seen her talk about it

[6:49]too she gets a lot of abuse on here

[6:53]um probably other places too but she

[6:56]definitely gets a lot of it on YouTube

[6:58]there there are videos about her that

[7:01]are basically just disparaging her which

[7:03]is just

[7:04]wrong if you don't like her then just

[7:07]watch someone else why are you making

[7:09]videos about about her like why are you

[7:12]doing that if I had the number of

[7:16]followers she does looking the way I do

[7:18]with no teeth I would get 5% of the

[7:21]abuse she does a lot of it is just

[7:23]because she's a woman I have seen it

[7:25]over and over and over again on every

[7:28]type of social media platform

[7:30]I don't get a lot of

[7:32]abuse ever women get it all the time and

[7:36]like we as a society have got to do

[7:38]something about that because it is not

[7:40]fair that they have to navigate all of

[7:44]that just just to share with you online

[7:47]you know it just it's crazy to me it's

[7:49]wrong it's just super

[7:52]wrong that's really I want to share
