[0:02]embarrassing couple of the videos I took

[0:04]turned out to just be pictures and I was

[0:06]talking to myself I wanted to show you

[0:09]my little thermostat over

[0:11]here um it's at 60 now I hope that comes

[0:15]out right I think it does CU it reverses

[0:17]the image it's at 60 now and kind of

[0:21]staying there but now I don't know what

[0:24]it was when I started I I took the heat

[0:26]up to 70 with the furnace then I turned

[0:29]that off

[0:30]and it quickly dropped 10° but it's been

[0:33]staying there since I've been insulating

[0:35]this other area which this is basically

[0:38]my intro video I'm recording right now

[0:39]you'll see all of that

[0:41]next I'm pretty happy with the end

[0:43]result I think it's going to make a big

[0:46]difference I still have to work on my my

[0:49]skills get good right cuz I am not right

[1:00]and the ceramic heater it's going up

[1:03]fast looks like the coldest it's gotten

[1:05]the last couple days is 33 with a high

[1:07]of 49 so even at the peak of the day

[1:10]it's only gotten up to

[1:12]49 I'm hopeful you know I'm in here now

[1:15]to just start do some more

[1:16]insulating I'm just hopeful that will

[1:19]help but you know that's without any

[1:21]heating at

[1:22]all I hope the heat is sticking here I'm

[1:25]going to get it up to 70 and then turn

[1:28]the furnace off and just let the shamic

[1:30]key to run see how that goes hey y so

[1:33]I'm about to seal this up I might come

[1:36]back in there and do something with this

[1:38]later after I see the Fire Marshall I'm

[1:39]going to get his opinion see what I can

[1:42]do there but here's the you know what I

[1:45]did to the panel and it does slip on

[1:50]perfectly it's absolutely perfect just

[1:53]got to screw it in so I got these three

[1:57]panels back together um this one did not

[2:01]do anything under there like nothing I'm

[2:04]going to wait for the Fire Marshall so

[2:06]yeah this place is a mass I won't let

[2:08]the cats in here until it's all cleaned

[2:10]up and then I got this area over here

[2:13]I'm think I'm going to do this next even

[2:14]before the bathroom like I'm going to

[2:16]just do this now hey everyone so I'm

[2:18]just going to show this to you in stages

[2:20]stage one nothing's been

[2:22]done you probably won't be able to see

[2:24]it uh I could see it when it was really

[2:27]bright out there's that that's not a

[2:30]perfect seal right there so there's

[2:32]definitely cold air getting in through

[2:33]there I definitely need to learn how to

[2:35]fix stuff like

[2:37]that um but at least for this one I'm

[2:39]just going to block it off you know I'm

[2:41]going to put reflecti against the wall

[2:45]then pink instulation and then reflec it

[2:47]again these seat belts um were going to

[2:50]be used as straps but I just think

[2:52]they're kind of in the way I'm going

[2:55]to um just you know cover them in pink

[2:58]insulation so that they're there cuz

[2:59]there's these big bolts those don't come

[3:02]out and that way they're preserved in

[3:04]case I trade this in at some point so

[3:07]this will be step one I love this reflec

[3:11]tape this stuff is awesome it just it

[3:14]feels easy to work with um unfortunately

[3:17]I'm running out of it I go through a lot

[3:19]of it and I don't have a car now I don't

[3:22]have my Jeep so I ordered some from

[3:24]Amazon though big big roll of it and

[3:26]it'll come in the morning

[3:28]thankfully um um this part is difficult

[3:31]because you can't see up here you know

[3:33]with your eyes um I think with practice

[3:36]with skill you learn to see with your

[3:38]hands but I'm going to be honest and say

[3:40]I don't have the patience for that

[3:44]today and this is just the first

[3:46]layer I would like to layer it better I

[3:49]could feel cold air coming through here

[3:51]I still do you really do need to seal

[3:53]like the whole thing you know I just I

[3:55]don't have enough tape for that and

[3:57]since I'm putting another layer of it

[4:00]I guess that'll just have to be good

[4:02]enough and then you know I'll do the

[4:03]pink insulation after that this here is

[4:07]my pipe insulation it's just foil backed

[4:10]um fiberglass and it just occurred to me

[4:12]why not make use of it and just put it

[4:14]to be clear the idea here is that I'm

[4:16]just making use of what I've got I don't

[4:18]have my Jeep for 3 days I'll just make

[4:20]use of what I've got do the best I can

[4:22]it's going to make a difference I'm

[4:24]convinced of

[4:25]that um sorry guys I know I don't look

[4:28]my best today but I look like a prince

[4:30]compared to my first video I've come a

[4:32]long

[4:33]way yeah that was a little joke that's

[4:35]been in my head probably should stop

[4:38]telling you their jokes but I want you

[4:40]to get to know me I have a weird sense

[4:41]of hammer so anyway I'm getting back to

[4:43]this I still feel cold air coming from

[4:46]somewhere and then do it up here because

[4:48]there really isn't much Point that's

[4:51]reflecti these ones definitely needed it

[4:54]I mean I guess if you really you know

[4:57]you got to seal tape around the whole

[4:58]thing

[5:00]I mean that would make a big difference

[5:01]but this is good enough for me just

[5:04]doing the best I can I do think sealing

[5:07]this up is going to make a big

[5:09]difference so I'm going to call this a

[5:11]win I was a lot more careful about

[5:14]making sure the insulation got all the

[5:15]way up into the corners all the way up

[5:17]to the

[5:18]top it is definitely fully insulated

[5:23]there yeah I'm calling that a win

[5:26]because I'm kind of thinking that poster

[5:28]board idea I had CU this will start

[5:30]bulging out if I you know I need

[5:32]something else here I need to give that

[5:35]some thought I mean I don't really have

[5:36]well cardboard maybe even cardboard yeah

[5:40]cardboard I got lots of that Amazon is

[5:43]where I do 95% of my shopping so I've

[5:48]got a barn full of cardboard boxes I

[5:51]guess I will do that what a man that

[5:54]just came out of nowhere I think that's

[5:56]just an awesome idea I wanted to show

[5:58]you how much insulation I got left after

[6:01]the two areas in the kitchen and this

[6:04]over here that's it then I'm out of the

[6:07]R32 or whatever it's called and I've got

[6:10]a roll of r19 but I get the difference

[6:12]now it's just the thickness it's the

[6:14]same stuff I'm really happy about that

[6:16]that came out really well it's done now

[6:19]I just need to put I'm going to think

[6:21]this part through there's a

[6:24]very you know there's a very little bit

[6:26]of room here maybe I'll use that pipe

[6:28]insulation and just put that across this

[6:31]and then put the reflecti which will be

[6:32]taped up against the corners

[6:35]here well it look nice no uh is it

[6:39]functional absolutely and that's

[6:42]definitely what I care about I want to

[6:44]put a treatment up on these

[6:46]windows that's really it that's all I

[6:48]can

[6:49]do in this

[6:52]area very happy you guys tell me what

[6:55]you think so this is interesting if you

[6:58]look there's an up arrow that

[7:00]temperature is going up since the things

[7:02]I've shown you so far right given that's

[7:04]all the reflective tape I've got left

[7:06]I'm just going to leave it

[7:08]here so I put three strips of this I get

[7:12]it they probably should be completely

[7:15]sealed uh maybe I'll tape it with

[7:17]reflecti you guys can let me know

[7:19]because I won't be able to do anything

[7:20]till tomorrow but you know the main

[7:22]reflecti this stuff here is you know one

[7:26]more layer it's going to go around the

[7:27]whole thing and this will just be sealed

[7:29]up

[7:30]off so I'm just going to end this by

[7:33]saying there is definitely a sense of

[7:36]Pride and accomplishment that you got

[7:39]from doing stuff like this yourself that

[7:41]I've never experienced before in my

[7:44]life when I'm out there

[7:47]somewhere and it's just nice in here you

[7:51]know the temperature is nice and it's

[7:54]because it's been insulated by me I'm

[7:57]just chilling with my cats I I think

[8:00]that's probably a really good feeling so
