[0:05]you guys some advice on how I'm well I

[0:08]don't want to call it advice cuz I'm the

[0:10]last person you should take advice from

[0:13]honestly um this is just my plan this is

[0:15]how I would do it and how I am doing it

[0:18]so first you got to make the decision

[0:20]you want to do this I really struggled

[0:22]with that I

[0:23]spent probably a week or two just

[0:26]thinking about it but actually it would

[0:28]have been you know months because I was

[0:30]trying to change my life I just didn't

[0:31]know how I was changing it

[0:35]so I I thought you know yeah I'm I'm

[0:38]probably want to live full-time in an RV

[0:40]but I really really struggled with that

[0:42]because of all the fears I

[0:44]had and that didn't even go away and

[0:48]when I was looking at at campers I just

[0:51]I had so much fear wrapped up in that I

[0:53]talk about that I think in my very first

[0:55]video and so that leads to the second

[0:59]thing re research just do lots and lots

[1:01]of research when I made the decision

[1:04]that I wanted to do this I didn't know

[1:07]what a big Community there is out there

[1:09]it's it's a great resource to draw on to

[1:11]just you know watch YouTube videos join

[1:14]Facebook groups or whever else you know

[1:17]and just research learn as much as you

[1:20]can there's so much to learn you're not

[1:22]going to learn at all but just you know

[1:24]get comfortable learn as much as you can

[1:26]and then it kind of takes you back to

[1:29]the first point

[1:30]where that decision became easier for me

[1:33]and then once I made it I just felt a

[1:36]lot of relief like I cuz it just felt

[1:38]like okay I knew it was the right

[1:40]decision for me but I was really

[1:42]struggling to get there like to convince

[1:45]myself just do it get past the fear you

[1:49]know just that was really hard for me I

[1:52]don't know you guys will some guys some

[1:54]of you will struggle with that so I mean

[1:57]if you're anything like me so then the

[1:59]next thing thing is find your perfect

[2:00]camper you've done your

[2:02]research

[2:04]you and I would say even after you've

[2:07]done all that research you might think

[2:09]you know what camper you want but I

[2:12]didn't you know I I was looking at the

[2:14]chat and

[2:16]thinking this would be great but then

[2:19]you know reflecting on it I realized

[2:21]actually this would be terrible for me

[2:23]because if I'm boondocking in a national

[2:25]forest and the generator is running off

[2:27]of my fuel which I need to drive with

[2:30]then there's no way I'm staying there

[2:32]very long cuz I'm going to have to get

[2:33]to a gas station so you're going to pack

[2:35]up all your stuff and go and then you

[2:37]know so every 3 days I'm going to be

[2:38]somewhere

[2:39]else um and that's just a little too

[2:42]rapid for me I want to spend some time

[2:44]at the places I go to

[2:47]so it's a good thing I didn't buy that

[2:49]trailer it's a good time that I I was a

[2:51]little bit more patient than I normally

[2:53]am and less impulsive and just thought

[2:57]through the challenges I half with that

[3:00]particular unit and that led me to the

[3:02]one that I am buying which is way better

[3:04]for me and I I feel like that was a

[3:07]smart choice for me I'm super excited to

[3:09]get that one so that's number three find

[3:11]your perfect

[3:13]camper um number four is invest in good

[3:16]Towing so here's my

[3:19]situation um I'm sorry I'm probably

[3:21]going to get the figures wrong here I

[3:23]think I think the camper I have can tow

[3:26]4,200

[3:27]lb I my Jeep weigh 3948 so I am really

[3:32]close to the Limit my Jeep can actually

[3:34]weigh more than that if it has certain

[3:37]things on it there was a little bit of a

[3:39]range so I need to find out exactly what

[3:41]it weighs first I got some advice that

[3:46]said um be 10% under your towing

[3:50]capacity and I'm not going to be so

[3:52]that's kind of a bad thing I don't know

[3:54]what to do about it though you know so

[3:56]I'm going to be thinking about that I

[3:58]should have thought about that before I

[3:59]picked my camper okay so that's you know

[4:01]that's why I'm giving you this advice so

[4:03]I'm really close to my limits I'm under

[4:05]them I think that's the most important

[4:08]thing but you got to take the advice of

[4:11]the people who really know what they're

[4:12]talking about some of them are saying

[4:14]you're going to be fine I tow a Jeep

[4:16]behind you know something like this and

[4:19]um you know and others are saying 10%

[4:21]keep it under 10% um you know 90% really

[4:25]keep if your Jeep is 90% of the max

[4:28]weight you're good is what they're

[4:30]telling

[4:31]me obviously I won't be able and you're

[4:34]going to want to think about these

[4:35]things you can't I'm not going to be

[4:36]able to store anything in my Jeep but I

[4:39]don't want to some people are saying

[4:41]well you're going to collect stuff along

[4:43]the way you won't think you will you're

[4:45]going to start putting stuff in your

[4:46]Jeep I don't think that's true for me

[4:48]that's not why I have the Jeep the Jeep

[4:50]is for me to have fun and it's for me to

[4:52]go into town without trying to navigate

[4:56]that situation with my RV which feels

[4:59]difficult for for me so I'm you know I I

[5:02]like the flexibility of being able to

[5:04]detach take my Jeep into town do my

[5:06]laundry do my get my

[5:08]groceries you know whatever the case may

[5:11]be whatever I plan you know so I'm not

[5:13]putting stuff in there um so that's what

[5:17]I'm researching now I'm I'm I'm at the

[5:20]towing stage I'm trying to figure out

[5:22]what is the right equipment for my Jeep

[5:24]how much is it going to cost I'm willing

[5:27]to spend money on this to do it the

[5:28]safest way

[5:30]possible so think about all those things

[5:33]try to think about

[5:34]them before you pick your camper because

[5:37]I didn't do that and I didn't realize

[5:39]how close I was to the limits me and the

[5:42]sales guy had talked about it and and I

[5:44]just want to be honest

[5:46]he he was very good

[5:50]about like he didn't want me toing

[5:52]something that would be one of the

[5:54]things he said to me in his off is let's

[5:55]make sure about that weight like cuz he

[5:58]he actually cares he's a good sales guy

[6:00]so I'm going to keep recommending him I

[6:02]think he's awesome so I'm real close you

[6:05]know I'm probably within 200 lb maybe

[6:07]less so I got to find out and so today

[6:10]I'm going to just start calling places

[6:12]that can do the install on my Jeep get

[6:16]some

[6:16]prices get their advice just all of that

[6:20]and then the last thing number five for

[6:22]now that's just practice driving so once

[6:24]I get it here I'm going to take it to a

[6:28]big parking lot I'm going to practice

[6:30]driving it without Towing just practice

[6:32]driving the camper hours and hours and

[6:34]hours days and days and days get really

[6:38]good at it and then I'm going to

[6:39]practice practice towing with it so I

[6:43]think that's kind of the order of things

[6:46]that's that's what I would say that's

[6:47]what I'm going to do so I hope this
